Excellent seasonal tasting menu with delicious pairings. Attentive staff and wonderfully conceptual decor.
It was a mind-blowing experience. Each and ever dishes had exceptional attention to details and tasted awesome. Overall the best seafood experience I ever had in my life. The price tag is worth every penny considering the effort put on each delicacies.
once again an amazing meal and experience at Providence. best restaurant in LA area
Food was unbelievable! One of the best meals we've ever had.
A unique experience. Most of the small bites were seafood based. The wagyu beef was excellent but my favorite was the 'Ban this Dessert' which is a play on frois gras and the idiotic CA govt telling us what we can and cannot eat. Service impeccable. Creative plating and the food was delicious. We did the Chef's tasting menu -- cannot wait to go again.
Best special occasion restaurant in LA.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and it was amazing in every possible way. Love it.
Lived up to its reputation. Felt very comfortable trying things that I would not have eaten anywhere else. It’s worthy of his accolades, Michelin stars, and more.
They started slow, but it from the second course onward was some of the best food we’ve had, ever.
Came here for my birthday dinner with my wife. We did the chef's tasting menu (with wine pairing). The "Ban This Dessert" was the highlight of the dinner for me. The wine pairings were excellent and everything tasted perfect.
You felt like you were in a conference room. Service was decent but not amazing. Food was good but again, not amazing for a Michelin starred restaurant.
Everything was first rate. All of the food was delicious and the staff enhanced the experience.
Food was appropriate in quality and presentation for a two Michelin Star experience. Service honestly felt like the B team was up to bat. Ambience needs a consultation—we felt like we were in a poorly lit aquarium. There was a certain impersonality to the events of the evening which will prevent them from obtaining higher marks in the future from most guides. If tonight is a barometer, I would anticipate a celestial demotion next year. If you are from the west coast, this is not remotely Saison or Quince or even The Laundry.
We were seated in the chef’s table for an unforgettable lunch. They are only open for lunch on Fridays.
First time in this place and it was a nice and fine dining!!!
We still think Providence is the best restaurant in Los Angeles. Lovely
We thought it was ok. Some of the dishes were fantastic and others were just ok. The quality of the food was exceptional but some of the flavors were a little dull. I thought the meal was safe. I prefer more experimental flavors. It makes sense that it’s been around for 14 years. There was a traditional feeling to the meal. Please understand, it was in no way bad, it’s just that for that kind of money, we like to feel wowed. The service was very professional but everyone did everything which made the experience feel a bit chaotic. Our server was very nice but lacked a real ability to Explain the dishes clearly and concisely. Again, we had a nice time, I just wouldn’t go back again. I have total respect for the chefs creations,( the oysters and the fish tacos and the crab and the salmon were delicious), but other dishes fell flat comparatively. I have mad respect for anyone’s artistic expressions, and i was also disappointed.
Finest food in LA. Highly recommended
Nice food and environment.
Better call to reserve a table before you go.
Nice place for date, special event, business meal and family gathering.
It was an excellent evening with delicious food! I will highly recommend it to people.
Never a disappointment. Providence is my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. Truly a great dining experience.
I have been fortunate to visit a handful of excellent restaurants in my life. I was going to launch into a comparison, but that's really not the point. The key point is that Providence is an exceptional experience, and an expensive one. The highlight is that several courses were the perfect essence of their ingredients -- creative, complex, yet just plain enjoyable. Everything was at the very least excellent. The service was beyond flawless -- it was warm and personal. I appreciated the quiet, spare setting. And I really enjoyed the many surprises and treats the chef added to our meal, as it was a special occasion for us. It's not a place we can afford to go often, but I do highly recommend it for those very special occasions -- but even more so for when there's an expense account! (Which was not the case with us.) . Still, wouldn't change a thing -- a wonderful meal, perfectly presented down to every detail. As a sweet tooth, I would have appreciated a huge bomb of chocolate at the end, but that's my personal prejudice and I can't expect anyone to know that.
The service was the first thing that stuck out to me as superb at this restaurant. The waiters and waitresses are so knowledgable about every dish, ingredient and drink of wine. It really made the entire experience feel that much more special. Each dish was its own little delight, and my husband and I felt like we were in our own world while dining.
My husband and I were there celebrating our birthdays. The food was very very tasty and extraordinary. Excellent service was provided as well. Definitely worth going.
Birthday . My parents had a wonderful time
Phenomenal food and service
Fine dining at its best. If you’re a seafood lover there isn’t much better.
It is a good restaurant. Their selection of food it's amazing.
We did the chefs tasting w wine pairing. The Som was excellent, all of the staff was forvthat matter, but the food for the most part didn’t wow me, and none of the excellent main ingredients used shined. Some were just covered in other flavors that kind of masked the quality of fish (its a fish heavy restaurant, which is great)... having said that there certainly were great dishes. I just wouldn’t spend the money to go big with the chefs tasting menu like that again, but I would definitely return.
This is my 4th time dining at Providence. It's an amazing experience on all levels. Truly one of the finest restaurants in the world. I look forward to my next visit. :) Sharon
To celebrate my son’s 25th birthday. A memory I will cherish the complicated, delightful meals we enjoyed. One of the most beautiful dining experience. Thank you, Providence, for exceeding our expectations.
Outstanding as usual. Deserves its reputation as one of LA’s best.
Epic in every way. A must for both locals and visitors to LA.
Incredible experience. Many thanks to the staff who made this a most memorable evening.
This restaurant should have three Michelin stars. The food and service are outstanding. Even though it is expensive what you get is well worth the money. My wife come every year for her birthday and get the royal treatment. I would recommend this restaurant for those who want to experience a great evening.
Extraordinary and worth every penny.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Impeccable, non-intrusive, friendly service. It's not overstating the the food and its presentation at Providence is one of the best I've ever tasted or seen. Worth every penny.
It was amazing. Absolutely amazing.
