Vinos y champaña excelente. Pedí el menú vegetariano y espectacular nada que envidiarle a las carnes...
A wonderful birthday celebration. Awesome pairings to match and enhance the food experience. Add on of black truffle pasta - there are no words.
The Chef's Tasting Menu was amazing!
Providence is the perfect “special occasion” restaurant. It has become our tradition to celebrate my husband’s birthday here, and we have been impressed with the great food and service at each visit.
As always, Providence provides a truly wonderful dining experience. Excellent food and service.
another amazing meal at providence, the restaurant never disappoints!
We went to celebrate our anniversary; received nice notes and special treats. Restaurant had called to ask about dietary restrictions prior and made accommodations. We enjoyed several delicious courses immersed in unique and exotic flavors. Service was impeccable. Would definitely return.
Amazing top to bottom. Service, ambiance, food - all stellar.
It was three and half hours of pure joy with dear friends.
Incredible food. Great wine pairing! A little slow with our pre-dinner cocktails. They came after all the amuse bouche. Overall a great dining experience.
The team at Providence was wonderful. They went out of their way to make a birthday celebration very special. All of the food was wonderful, thoughtful, and delicious. Kudos to everyone!
Went to providence for my wife’s birthday and it was fantastic! The staff was all so great and the food was amazing!! They also treated my wife to a few special touches throughout the evening for her birthday which I really appreciated.
Providence was amazing! The service and food were exceptional! I took my boyfriend here for this birthday and everything was amazing! The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. It seemed like the entire staff knew it was his birthday and wished him happy sentiments! The food was so fresh and flavorful . Everything was simply perfect.
Birthday celebration at our favorite restaurant. Amazing as usual.
Celebrated husband’s 30th birthday and it exceeded all expectations
F'our of us ate in the tasting room, looking into the kitchen, which was a delight. The food and wine pairings were excellent. Great way to celebrate a special occasion...
Perfection. Even at the price, we overtipped because we were so delighted by the staff!
High quality and delicious food. Super staff. Excellent meal.
We went with the Chef's Tasting Menu and Wine pairing option. This tasting menu is VERY seafood oriented and the couple beef dishes were a welcomed break and served almost as a palate cleanser and "reset" of tasting buds. The cheese cart was amazing and featured specialty cheeses from around the US with the wait staff being very knowledgeable of them and making recommendations. I have 2 regrets that affected our visit. The first was the vague pushiness of the wait staff to move on the next course. At one point my dinner partner had 4 or 5 wine glasses lined up along with 2 dishes making the very large table feel crowded. My second regret is having elected for the wine pairing. I was mildly impressed by some of the wines, disliked a couple, and outright did not drink one of them. I understand that this was my choice but I expected more from the wines.
Had an amazing birthday meal here with everything from service to food to ambiance at the highest level. Wine pairing was spot on, each glass complimented each dish with precision. My fourth trip here yet the experience always feels new and exciting. Consistently outstanding is probably the best way to describe Providence.
Was exactly what we were expecting.
Definitely worthy of the 2 Michelin stars.
Pricey for the sure but the quality and experience was great!
Providence truly deserves its status as one of LA's best restaurants and its 2-Michelin stars. The food was delicate and balanced, and the service was excellent. Wonderful experience.
Not worth the money, any we don't mind to spend for quality food. The display was nice but the food was very mediocre. Steak and duck came out cold. Spent $600 for two people. Way overpriced for what it is. Definitely not two star Michelin quality like other two star places we visited.
We tried the 7 course tasting menu $200, with wine pairing $300.
The Amuse bouche set was well presented but lacked spark & interest.
The Maine scallops had truffle shavings the we suspect were not real. The truffle scent was off, one of our party had a gag reflex.
There were three main course options:
$25 additional for a5 wagyu set expectations that were not met, not even close. The dish consisted of just two small meat slices.
The Duck was a bit dry, not juicy.
The Steelhead trout was not fresh and tasted smoky.
The staff clearly tried but missed the mark at this price point. Overall this experience was a disappointment.
We were surprised to learn Providence has 2 Michelin stars.
The food is wonderful and amazing - the best things you could ever put in your mouth, but the 80's design, even though somewhat minimal, is overwrought, gray, and dreary. There's also something weird about the acoustics, because even though it's loud inside, you can't hear what your dining mates are saying.
It would be ok to have a number of smoked items for a cheaper restaurant.
Too many smoked items will make your palate not feel any nuanced flavors.
Sea urchin with an egg: likewise, egg dominates, the delicate sea urchin is barely felt.
One of the best restaurants in town. Always excellent. Service and food, a true experience.
Overrated! Not Michelin 2 stars quality! Not value for money!
Our reservation started at 8pm and you could almost hear a pin drop while sitting almost a foot away from the surrounding tables. It started of with a whisper conversation, but 1/2 through the tasting it was a loud setting.
Service was great as expected and food was exceptional.
2nd time at Providence, it's still truly amazing! Thank you!
Food, service and ambience is outstanding
I just wish I had more money so I could eat there more often
Food: excellent! We had the 4 course tasting menu and each dish was excellent. The Wagyu beef is perfectly cooked and melt in the mouth. Duck was great as well. We added a pasta dish with white truffle, overall it was good but not as interesting as other dishes. I prefer the white truffle pasta dish we had at Melisse. Dish portion was generous.
Pace: I felt slightly being rushed, the time between two dishes was less than 5 minutes. And the waiter was checking on my progress all the time. I’m a slow eater, may be others won’t find it a problem.
Service: attentive and nothing to complain about. Not a minus but I do hope our sommelier can tell us a little more about the wine and why it was paired with the dish.
Overall value: very good. With wine paring it was 165 and I do recommend the paring.
Will come back again for their a la cart menu.
You can only say one thing; EXCELLENT!
Providence never never ever disappoints! Worth every penny. There just aren’t any restaurants that compare, it’s that spectacular.
One of the most exhilarating dining experiences of my life! The food was beautiful and equally pleasing on the palate. The staff were more courteous and friendly than you might expect at a two Michelin star restaurant, and the ambience was perfect. I will definitely be going back, and recommending to Friends!
We went for my wife’s birthday. Had a theater reservation at 8. They did a wonderful job of giving us a 7-course meal, including a birthday dessert, in time for us to make our curtain. The food, of course, was superb. Inventive, unexpected and delicious. Couldn’t have been a better restaurant experience!
Really nice and my boyfriend enjoyed it!
