Wonderful meal. Perfect portion sizes. They forgot the bread we ordered but we got a tour of the wine cellar at the end. That made
Up for it! And they comped the bread. Although I wasn’t a fan of the bread. Lol. The truffle fries were too salty for me. But we got a few freebies. Overall I would go back. The service was great!
Jodie the sommelier was very helpful and gave us a lovely suggestion. Food was average. The steak needed seasoning.
Thank You Press from the bottom of my heart. You made our first wedding anniversary so special. The staff was so professional and all were wearing masks. We felt very safe. After having a horrible experience with Auberge who last minute cancelled my reservation 4 days before our anniversary. I was freaking out Thursday night. I looked on open table saw press had room for us. I booked it fast. Friday I called just to confirm with them didn’t want another Auberge situation. Not only did the young lady confirm she also saw that one of us had a food allergy. No lies I cried. I was so thankful that she acknowledged my food allergy. Dinner was amazing. They even surprised us with a pastry and a candle. Again Thank You So Much to everyone at Press.
Birthday party with friends!
Just incredible! The steak tare tare had the perfect spice! The steak and frites was amazing. The wine list is out of this world!
Service was terrific but felt very rushed, I suspect staffing is difficult in today's environment. The Filet was far smaller that I recall, but cooker perfectly. Also thank you for offering to omit the corkage if we also bought a bottle of wine, a nice approach since there were four of us, it worked well. Overall we had a great time, thanks for allowing us to dine!
Our dinners could not have been better. Rudd wines were incredible as usual. We will eat here twice every annual trip to wine country.
Server Eric was excellent, Chef DeCuisine Darryl came out and was a pleasure to talk with & the food was delicious, exceptionally prepared and Sommelier Jody took our likes and dislikes and turned them into 2 delicious, memorable bottles of wine. Great experience overall!!
Food was well-cooked but lacking much flavor. Cocktails tasted watered down and were also lacking flavor. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Nice dinner during our vacation!
The service was poor, particularly for a "high end" restaurant. We asked for an outside table but could not be accommodated even though it looked like there was space. The waiter did not take our drink order, so we just drank water the whole meal. We waited one hour for our food. The waiter never came by to explain the delay. The food was decent. But when you order an $80 steak, you expect top quality. It was not that. Very overpriced for what you get. We won't be going back.
Amazing as always
It’s pricey, but great food, vibe. Service was a tad slow, but don’t want to be rushed either! Would recommend for special occasion!!!
Second time dining at Press and couldn’t be happier. Lovely dinner, food was amazing and service was spectacular. Tables well distanced due to covid. Looking forward to going back.
Always made comfortable by the reception of everyone working here. Great service / food.
Only issue was the outdoor patio could be much nicer
Small portions, high prices for good but not excellent food. There are numerous places in Napa which are both better values and have tastier food.
My appreciation to the staff for moving my wife and I inside, after that, dinner was up to Press standard of excellence. Note to the restaurant, eliminate the horrendous outside seating, between the flies, the greenhouse type heat and the thrown together seating, it is not enjoyable and totally detracts from your reputation. Also, you might want to consider normal size steak portions on your short menu. Beyond that, our anniversary dinner was great (after moving inside).
Fine dinning experience
Thanks for a great dining experience.
Always a good time at Press. A favorite!
The restaurant, we knew would have amazing food and an incredible aesthetic, which it did. We also assumed the the staff and waiter would be solid, but our waiter was above and beyond amazing. It saddens me that I don’t know his name, feels almost disrespectful, but he treated us so well, and was a huge part in creating a memory that my new wife and I will always remember. Please continue finding staff members like that, because they set you apart in terms of having high quality meals. Sorry this is long, and I do hope someone reads this, because my honeymoon with my wife will always hold this memory, although a simple matter, was so incredible. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back and we will recommend this restaurant.
It was great to enjoy PRESS at lunch time. Same great food and service.
We had dinner tonight at Press and we were looking forward to an excellent dinner. Our server was very nice and we Were seated promptly. The restaurant was not very busy and we looked over the menu and list of wines by the glass as well as an iPad loaded with 60 pages of wines. We ordered an appetizer and it was ok but bland. We then had a glass of cab and a Chardonnay that were recommended and they were awful. The cab tatted tainted and the Chardonnay from Mayacamas was really odd tasting. We ordered some fish and a steak and they were not very good. The halibut was tasteless and served cold. The sauce was even worse. The steak was served medium rare after asking for medium well. The flavor was not good either and it was served sliced. At this point we decided to leave. This is our third poor experience at Press over the past 18 months. It was our favorite spot in Napa but sadly this was our last visit. We can no longer recommend Press.
The food was amazing. The wine list extensive and very reasonable. The Somm was super helpful and friendly. Only issue was it felt like our server didn't want to be there.
Incredible restaurant. Somehow it keeps it’s amazing personal experience and first-rate service through the COVID-19 restrictions. Bravo!
Everything we had was fantastic. The Press Gin and Tonic is the best.
Underwhelmed for the money. All the courses, felt contrived and overly complicated.
My husband and I had dinner at Press for the first time on a Saturday. It was such a great and amazing experience. The staff were all wearing mask. Mask are required to walk to your table, and if you leave your table. We did not have to wear a mask while seated at our table. Our server was so nice, helpful, and attentive to our needs. I really enjoyed his down to earth personality. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection, it literally melted in my mouth. My husband's dinner was the special of the night and he was very pleased with his dinner. I have to say Press has the best Coke I've ever had lol! I highly recommend Press.
A delightful evening - superb food, great service, very personable staff. A well worthwhile visit. Thank you.
So glad to see this restaurant reopen. New menu under the talented hand of Philip Tessier and Darryl Bell is so good with an emphasis on seasonal and local. Wine list as always full of great choices including rare older vintages making it fun for special occasions. The rice pudding currently on the dessert menu is the best I’ve ever had.
Great experience here. Sat outside and were allowed our pup with us which was sweet.
Food was dope, unexpected flavours and interesting takes on classic dishes. Will come back for sure.
Among our favorite 2 or 3 restaurants anywhere. No other restaurant compares to the service at Press, and their food is innovative and delicious.
Chef Philip Tessier has been an incredible addition. We have always loved Press but his new and improved menu is terrific. Incredible attention to the food on the plate. Great flavor and balance- and beautiful.
Omg! We loved it everything was perfect!!! The food was exquisite and the service was phenomenal! We came to celebrate our anniversary and they made it extra special!!! Thank you ❤️ we will definitely be back!
I was very excited to return to the restaurant. I mentioned that this reservation was special because of an anniversary and a 60th Birthday. We looked at the menus online ahead of time and read all special do’s for reopening like wear a mask etc before arriving. The host had no clue it was our anniversary..., they didn’t call us to let us know of the restricted menus. I had it all plan from their website and open table. I didn’t get the Chateaubriant that I had planned to eat. The sommelier came at our table but didn’t pour our wine. She just made a comment that it was a great bottle and amazing vintage. Our server was great, we made him relax . Overall the vibes we weird, a bit tense.
Press continues to provide excellent service with unique additions to their steak menu. This during the challenging times of a restrictive opening.
