Always delicious... just a little slow on this evening. Steak, sides, salad, crab legs were all stellar. The truffle risotto was disappointing though.

Excellent choice in the Napa Valkey! Press doesn’t disappoint even after the original Owner’s daughter has taken over the business. Bravo! The chocolate soufflé is even better!

I love Press and would normally have given them five stars, but they have a new chef and a lot of things were not being served when we were there. They normally have killer bread and breadsticks but neither were available when we dined with them last week. They also no longer have their special hashbrown potatoes with the smashed garlic that we loved. But they steaks were cooked perfectly and the service, as always was impeccable.

The food is fresh and good quality but too pricey. Order a steak as rare but don’t know why the outside is crispy and hard like charcoal. The chef’s choice is some kind of ground pork with homemade pasta that cost $32???? I think is a bit over price for what they serve. But their servers are excellent. They are all very friendly and knowledgeable.

We enjoyed our dining experience at Press! Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. We had our 4 year old daughter with us and they catered to her needs and were welcoming of her! We will be back again!

Terribly overpriced, mediocre presentation, and food is just ok. Service was amateurish. At best it is a steakhouse that tries to be upscale by charging extra for everything. Price per se was not the issue. However, if you are going to charge premium prices then provide premium food and service. How this restaurant gets the good reviews is beyond me.

We had a really nice time - 2 people, quiet corner table facing the main dining area. The food was expensive, very small portions but really great flavor mixtures. We had the scallops and the seafood risotto. It was obvious that the chef took great care in preparation and presentation. Also had a great waiter - Eric, personable, but not pushy.

Food not what it was 2 years ago. Rib eye not up to par. Filet was ok. Potato’s were AWEFUL. Carrots were not done. The server tried to make the best of a situation she couldn’t control

It was my first time dining a Press for dinner and it was lovely. My friend and I went to celebrate a birthday and it was a good choice. Great wine list, a warm atmosphere and of course delicious food! A special note to our server and the maitre d' who took such great care of us.

We dined at PRESS for the first time on Friday. Our server was fantastic! Knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered the bacon flight as an appetizer paired with a Vieux Carre. Our steak was cooked to perfection. We topped it off with a warm chocolate cake and port. The inside of the restaurant is just beautiful.

We had a great time. The cocktails were magnificent and quite different then the ordinary. The appetizers and main course were amazing. This restaurant is 3000 miles away from my home but if I am ever in this area again, I will definitely be back. Additionally with such good food, there is still warm friendly wait staff that also made the experience wonderful.

As a regular steak house visitor I must say I was impressed with Press! A must visit if you are in the Napa Valley area. Absolutely excellent service from our server although I don’t know her name- exquisite fare and wonderful ambiance- we will visit again!

this place was good but a little underwhelming considering the reputation it has, and the prices.
Rib eye, cocktails and bacon were delicious, ambiance is very nice but everything else was just ok.
Plus my waiter tried to crush me with the table. I have very long legs so I had the table scooted out a bit and the waitress came by and shoved it back in without saying anything and crushed my foot that was lodged between the table and the booth, and then still insisted on pushing the table back in.
The matrie d was wonderful!

Went with 2 other couples. I made res because it was designed by an Architect in town that I love the work of, as is Archetype down the street. Lovely ambience, top notch service, great wine/cocktail list. Delightful space. Food and pacing was perfect. Would recommend to anyone.

It's a beautiful room that's let down by mediocre food and amateur service.

Food quality was not good. Our chopped salad was not chopped (the leaves were big, and mostly whole) and the lettuce was tough and chewy. The steak was fine but not remarkable or interesting. The 'lobster mac and cheese' was lacking cheese, lobster, and salt... and was made with large rigatoni that were badly undercooked. Bananas Foster bread pudding, served warm, was still fridge-cold in the center.

Service was downright terrible. Our server couldn't answer basic questions about the menu, and even when he went to the kitchen for help, his answers were confusing. (The foie gras was somehow both "a lobe" and "prepared like a mousse". Hmmm, okay, pass.) We noticed plates for the same course arrived *many* minutes apart at many tables. We heard the floor manager tell the party next to us that they had his "permission to start eating" because their companion's dish would be right out. (What the heck?? RUDE.) The only nice service we had was at the bar as we waited for our table; we felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of.

Food was awesome, atmosphere very nice, you have to try the bacon. I would recommend for couples, special occasions, or even if you want a great tasting steak

Amazing food, great atmosphere and our waitress Darla made the night extra fun. The bacon sampler is a must try, pork chops, steaks and lobster mac and cheese were all 5 star. They also made amazing cocktails, we especially loved the dirty martini's. Can't wait to come back again!

Enjoyed an anniversary dinner at Press. We were on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. Excellent service and food. Bread was a $5 charge. Many great wine choices. Busy place, but cordial service. We had halibut and beef. Both were excellent, as was the chocolate soufflé. Will definitely go back on our next trip to Napa.

We just LOVED Press. We arrived about an hour early because we wanted to shop next door before dinner but...they had closed early so we thought we'd give it a go. Press greeted us nicely and we had a great table, waiter (dry sense of humor) and an AMAZING dinner. I had the 14oz ribeye and my son the lamb chops. BOTH were so mouthwatering we split them so we'd have some of each. The potatoes cooked in duck fat were sooooo good. And we finished with delicious French pressed coffee.

This is my second time at Press and I'll be back next trip as well (if there is a table available). I highly recommend this to someone who wants excellent food, service and wonderful ambiance - not quiet but perfectly fine for conversation - not one person I could see was complaining or having a bad night. EXCELLENT!!!

Outstanding food. Very expensive, but the steak, scallops and lobster were all top-of-the-line. My son wouldn't even share a bite of his steak -- said it was the best NY steak he'd ever had in his life. Pinot noir by the glass was excellent, too. The top level of my gem salad was excellent -- delicious! Second level was overdressed, but that was only one very small detail in an outstanding meal and evening. Very large room but comfy tables (we had plenty of room to play dominoes) and noise level was reasonable. Service was very nice and just the right amount of attention. Maitre D' even came over later in the meal and chatted 2x -- very personable and wanted to ensure everything was up to snuff.
It is quite pricey, so check online to see if it matches your budget -- but for us it was a wonderful evening and well worth it. Will be back!

When they say THE PERFECT wine country dining experience...believe it! FLAWLESS. Hit on all cylinders which is extremely high praise. Our server, Darla, was super fun, instinctual, knowledgeable...Charles made us feel like we were dining in our best friends home. The atmosphere is chic yet approachable. The food was a 10!!!! Press is officially my favorite restaurant in the valley!! BRAVO Additional Note: DO Order the lobster Mac & cheese...best EVER
