I thought that last night's dinner at the Prairie fell well short of the pre-pandemic standard we have come to expect. The salad was limp and not properly served. The entree was just O.K. and not carefully plated. There were no after-dinner chocolates. Service was very good, no complaints. Considering the we are just coming out of a pandemic,we do plan to try the restaurant again in a few months. The kitchen will have to do a lot better to lure back regular customers
Food was fantastic, view was amazing, wait staff was terrible. We didn’t really seem to have one designated server and therefore waited to order, waited for drinks, waited for refills etc. As a former server myself, I can understand being “in the weeds” during a dinner rush, but that definitely was not the case here. It was a slow night with no more than 4 four tables (including ours) Dinner for two was $120 and I was disappointed that the only one who impressed me was the Chef. For the kind of service we received, or lack there of I should say, I would have been better off ordering it to go and serving myself…

First time out since the pandemic. The food was better than we remembered and the staff was appreciative. Only challenge was the 97 degree evening on the patio, but it was tolerable for the food, service and the view!

We went for our anniversary because it was close to home on a Wednesday night. The service was a little slow but all the waitstaff were pleasant and helpful. The menu is limited. I had a strawberry spinach salad that included one thinly sliced strawberry on a bed of spinach. My husband enjoyed his half smoked chicken and my lamb was tasty but was a small portion. We had a window seat and the view is wonderful. Overall we had a nice anniversary dinner. I mentioned it was our anniversary on this app but no mention was made of it by anyone at the restaurant.

Great wait staff and atmosphere. The food were good but a little over sauced- a few too many flavors going on at once. The wine was excellent and the views stunning!

We went for an anniversary dinner and wasn't disappointed. From moment we walked in, everyone was professional and friendly. Our server Francesca was absolutely wonderful. Food was out of this world. The flavors just made my mouth dance! Definitely my new place for special occasions.

I had the lamb and wife had roasted half chicken. Both were quite good, as were the accompaniments. A very pleasant evening. Our only complaint was the uncomfortably cold air conditioning. Why do they do that? We retrieved sweaters from the car, but it was still uncomfortable. Great place to go, but if you select inside seating dress warmly!
Thank you for submitting your valuable feedback. Our new high efficiency HEPA-filtered HVAC system has remote setting capabilities and it seems not to be optimal on settings we customarily used. We are on a learning curve but are confident we will figure it out. The manager has this on his watch-list. As to dinner, we are so glad you enjoyed Chef Myles' food. We do hope you will be back!

Although service was good, disappointed with the food. Started with the calamari which was very good, ordered the steak med-rare but was over cooked and well done. My wife's fish was also overly cooked and dry. Not sure the little chunks of bread with jam added much to the meal - would have rather had some warm french bread slices with maybe a few flavored butters? The best part of our meal was the strawberry tart. Delicious!
The best part of the whole experience was the beautiful atmosphere!
We were out of town visitors, but when visiting again, we'll pass on the dinner and enjoy a relaxing glass of wine (and probably dessert!) in this beautiful setting.

Perfect in every way! We went there to celebrate with some friends, and were so pleased with every part of our experience. We were greeted warmly and shown to a lovely quiet table. Our waitress Francesca was knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. The menu was really inviting- so many attractive things to choose from- and the wine list was incredible. We loved the brazino fish and excellent accompaniments, and the guava pie for desssert was wonderful. It was a lovely place to visit and talk and the great experience really made us want to return!

Every was great. Would be five stars all around, but I thought the menu was a bit limited. Still, what we ate was very good, wait staff were excellent, and love the ambiance.

Chef Myles' Spring menu is more limited than normal as we make baby-steps to re-opening and building food inventory after the period of closure. When we have fully re-staffed the culinary team and returned to business-as-usual, Chef will debut a new Summer menu and we hope that will make a better impression. Prairie Star Restaurant has all we could possibly want when celebrating a special occasion. Celebrating our anniversary, we were their last patrons last before Covid19 forced them to close. We were delighted to celebrate Mother's Day there shortly after their re-opening. The view from the dining room is terrific. The menu, wine choices and food are impressive! The manager, wait staff, and especially our waitress went out of their ways to ensure a wonderful experience. Obviously, we highly recommend Prairie Star Restaurant.

Three couples went to celebrate a birthday and had the wine dinner. We sat outside as it was a glorious evening. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The wine selections were excellent, we had the Reisling. Five if us had the rack of lamb which was outstanding. One had the salmon which she said was delicious. Everything was perfect, we will return!

We try to go there almost weekly. With their new chef, the food selected for their Wine and Dine is always outstanding, the portions are great, the price is reasonable, and the service has always been super attentive and friendly.

World class patio and view. Excellent service. All the food was fantastic except my $34 ribeye was way overdone(ordered med-rare) and tough. Our wine by the glass was very good.

I've eaten there many times and would recommend everything, except the french onion soup. That's just my opinion, it may be good to someone else, just not to my liking.

I came away with a less than great experience, notwithstanding the covid precautions which did not bother me. Bread arrived luke warm. We ordered the ribeye steak dinner, and the meat was cut too thin, cooked too quickly at high temperature, and charred such that it was nearly inedible. The sauce was salty and burnt tasting. I ordered a 2013 Bergstrom Pinot Noir and paid the premium price of it for a 2016 vintage of the same wine without any adjustment in cost found among PS's other wines of different vintages.
I wouldnt return or recommend this for an experience I have enjoyed immensely in the past. Too bad...

Wed and Thurs night specials are always good and such a value! We had steak medallions and vegetables with a delicious salad, plus apple cinnamon dessert. And a good bottle of red wine.
