Service wa
Out of fries at 11:30am. Waitress short changed us when we paid cash.

We were delighted with our first Revillion meal at Poydras & Peters. Each course a better delight that the previous one we had. The servers were polite, professional, attentive and friendly. This is one of the best meals we have had ever. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in New Orleans!
Thank you for choosing to stay at Loews New Orleans Hotel. We are so pleased to know that you found our rooms cozy and comfortable and that our staff was friendly and accommodating. We hope you come back to see us again.
The food was fine but service was non-existent. One hand didn’t know what the other was doing. Slow service. Errors made. Prices high for food that’s really just average.

Arrived early for reservation, no greeter present. Eventually asked if we’d been helped, we got seated by a very unpleasant woman. Waited at the table 20 minutes before anyone asked us if we’d been served, we said no and she claimed she would be right back. 10 more minutes pass, other guests who arrived after us were helped, waitresses pass us multiple times. No waters, no drinks, no appetizers. Maybe 6 tables of people total, definitely not busy. We walked out. Horrible service and experience.
We work hard to ensure that every guest has a memorable experience but failed to meet our goals during your stay, and for that we are truly sorry. We have been addressing the concerns you brought up with the hotel staff so appropriate training and re-training can occur. Feedback such as yours is valuable in making us better.
We got to the restaurant 10 min before our 6p reservation. We waited 5 min or so to be seated. When we finally got to the booth it took 20 min for anyone to come over and even offer water. After we finally received menus and ordered two drinks – one pinot grigio for $6 and a mixed drink for $13 – we asked about the Reveillon menu. The first person to take our order wasn’t sure what Reveillon was and left to ask & the second server told us that it would not be served tonight. After it was advertised it would be occurring through Jan 1, 2020, she said that another table was also there for that same menu and she had to tell them the same thing. No actual reason given, just that they had their regular dinner menu. We decided to order two shareable plates – a charcuterie board (legit, same food I bought at Rouses earlier in the day) and artichoke dip (lukewarm when delivered). It took another 30 min to get these two items and in that time both waitresses tried to take our menus. I don’t know what kind of training P&P are giving their servers but I personally said I wanted to keep my menu as I had no idea what I wanted to order and they looked at me bewildered that I wanted to keep it. Are these menus made out of special, expensive paper?
In the 55 minutes we waited we saw two couples leave. The first couple – cute, hip, super in-love couple left after just receiving water (arrived after us and left before us). The second couple, a lovely elderly couple that was seated at the first couples table – that wasn’t even CLEANED and reset! They took a brief look at the menu and left the dirty table. We even received a plate from their first / second couples dirty table (the server gave us three plates for the four of us that ordered food.).
We spoke to the manager that was short with us, at best.

The Thanksgiving meal was terrible and extremely overpriced. Ordering from the regular menu might be OK. Paul, the food service manager and Stephanie, our server were fantastic and they made everything right for us. Thanks again Paul and Stephanie. We appreciate your efforts.

The food and attentiveness were outstanding! I have visited Poydras and Peters for happy hour, but loved the breakfast and can’t wait to go back.
Food was NOT worth the money. Entire restaurant was empty without any other groups or reservations. Do not recommend.
Our brunch food took over an hour to come out despite the fact that there were only 4 or 5 other tables seated. One table told us their food took almost two hours. We got a lot of apologies and they did comp the meal after the wait. But I’d steer clear unless they seriously improve their systems.
We had reservations for brunch at 9:45. Unfortunately, they did not have a table for us for 20 minutes. Once we sat at the table, it took an additional 15 minutes to pour water and to take a drink order. It also took an additional 25 minutes to get our coffee that we ordered. We had ordered our food and sat at the table for over one hour without any additional communication from the staff.
The kitchen may have been shorthanded; but, if the manager and or the wait staff would’ve communicated with us their reasons for a long wait time we could’ve made alternative accommodations earlier.
After 80 minutes, we offered to pay for our coffee and walked to another restaurant (Mother’s-5star).
We arrived with a party of eight. Restaurant was completely empty when we arrived for a business dinner at 7:15. Food was very good. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meal, except seven of the meals arrived together and we had to wait 8-10 minutes for the last person to be served. At the end of the meal, we were informed that the checks could not be split more than three ways. We did not think to ask about this in advance, so this is out fault. Still, it’s surprising that a restaurant that is located close to the convention center and is affiliated with a Loews hotel would not be more flexible and accommodating.
When you want to escape for a quiet yet tasty dining experience, this is the perfect place. The decor is beautiful, yet comfortable and the menu was well rounded and tasty.
The Gumbo was slightly salty. I couldn’t finish it. The fried oysters were delicious. The customer Service was grade A.
Amazing!!!!
Service was very good, both wait staff & mgmt. were helpful and courteous.
Food menu very limited and not many other diners being served. Only one other group was in thedining room.
Very limited menu
Much better than we expected for a restaurant in a hotel. Could not have loved it more.
Great experience nice table. Server was very attentive.
様々なガンボを食べましたが、このお店のガンボはとても美味しかったです。日本人の口に合う食事が多かったように思います。
Not very "NOLAish". I first noticed that it was almost empty but then I understood why. The waitstaff was struggling with the orders and they were simple orders. The wait was long and the dining room was almost empty. I was not impressed with the food. It was plain. I would not recommend it. Thank you.
Very nice place to have Sunday brunch. Lovely Jazz combo, engaging. Noise low level and could carry on a conversation. We will book again
Loved it !!!! Recommend to everyone
Worthy successor to Adelides. Limited but excellent menu. Good wine selection. In Lowe's hotel.
After having gone to Poydras and Peters five years ago and being pleasantly impressed, I felt really lucky to be able to get a spot there on a busy graduation weekend. However, my excitement quickly faded into remorse after sitting for 45 minutes just to get our Brunch. When we arrived, we were sat down at an absurdly large table, and when we asked to be moved to a booth, we were told that the booths were reserved and wouldn’t seat our party (no one ever sat in the booths, and we most definitely could have fit). There was a pleasant band playing, though, so I was not too perturbed. Then, the food came. The “Bayou Breakfast” came with Spiced Potatoes (these were flavorless and likely frozen) and Pecan-Infused Bacon (not pecan-infused, nor good bacon(they messed up bacon?!)). I ordered the Barbecued Shrimp and Grits, and it consisted of bad shrimp and grits floating in a sea of oil. We had also ordered the Avocado Toast, which came on white bread and practically none of the arugula it had promised. Then, the pièce de résistance: the “Giant” Cinnamon Roll. We had to wait even longer for this because there were some problems in the kitchen of some sort. When it finally arrived, we were shocked that a seemingly-nice restaurant would dare to serve us four mini Slice and Bake rolls after having charged us $10 for a Giant Cinnamon Roll. The only giant thing about the cinnamon rolls was how much of a disappointment they were. I should’ve taken a picture, but if you would like to see what they looked like, type in Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls on Google. I think it was said best when my father said, “Poydras and Peter? More like Poydras and Don’t Eat Here.” Good day.
They changed their menu to what I would call bar food. When we asked the server he said they changed menu two weeks prior to our visit. Very disappointing and in retrospect we should have left
Mother’s Day. Worst experience ever. We had reservations for 12. The brunch jazz band left as we sat. There we’re only two other tables. The service was horrible and the bill was inflated. They did not have three main fresh items in the brunch menu so I had to order fish from the kids menu and substituted the fries. I got the fries anyway and was charged $8 for side salad. The bill was inflated the best way she could inflate it and charged 20 percent gratuity for four adults and 2 children. The service was horrible and the alcoholic drinks didn’t arrive to the table for at-least 20 minutes with no one in the restaurant or bar. They over billed me $1-2 more for almost everything ordered then what the menu read. When I asked for the difference the waitresses and the manager looked at me like I was crazy and one said “ so we owe you $3” and laughed. They are lucky I didn’t ask for more of the mistakes to be corrected and the gratuity to be removed so I could tip what she deserved. I handed the difference to the valet and left knowing I would never return. I was thankful to be with my mother and family so it didn’t ruin our day. The inflation of the bill made them appear dishonest. I see why the Brennan’s left this place. There are way to many restaurants to spend $180 in. Don’t waste your time and money here hence that’s why I’m leaving this review.
Made reservations and walked into an empty restaurant—needless to say, not a good sign. The dinner menu was completely different from the one online. We went ahead and ordered and the food was mostly ok, and admittedly our server was very attentive, but overall a mediocre experience. Seems like there was a recent menu reboot that wasn’t successful, so caution unless that changes.
Gorgeous restaurant. Food was so tasty.
Great dining experience. Amazing culinary showmanship by the chefs. Friendly waitstaff explained the restaurant concept and menu selections while the ambiance presented a hipster vibe.
Food was mediocre. Service was not very good as they used the multiple servers per table approach which resulted in our being asked the same questions 2or 3 times. Not likely to return.
Amazing service! Incredible food! Loved everything!
Understaffed and disorganized
I made a booking but when we arrived on time, we were told to wait 15min because they had seated walkins on our table.
Poor service standards
We enjoyed the tomato basil soup, scallops with cauliflower and pear, and salmon with eggplant and cucumber. Presentation and taste were excellent! We had the cherry beignets for dessert which were outstanding!
Awesome Food!
Our server , Emily was amazing & so sweet . My gumbo was delicious and my salmon was seasoned to perfection ! The atmosphere was filled with love , I’ll definitely be back .
