Porcini Pizzeria is your typical neighbourhood genuine Italian restaurant. With reasonable prices, and imported Napolese cuisine, it's a lovely little place for a romantic or family meal out. If you don't fancy a chain restaurant, the Italian cooking here is spot on. Local Italian video/radio adds to the authentic atmosphere although it was quiet on a monday evening apart from this.

One o many. I would say, a good Italian restaurant for people who don’t have an experience of genuin Italian food. The antipasti are OK. They put cream in the carbonara (a sign of the adaptation to local taste). The pizzas 6 out of 10. They do their job honestly. We can have much better in London.

We ordered a sharing platter for starters which included a skewer of chicken pieces and a mini calzone. The largest chunk in the middle of the skewer was raw - not just undercooked but raw & the calzone was also completely uncooked inside - raw mushrooms & mozzarella. My son & I had pasta and both enjoyed our meals. Sadly, my husband's pizza was very undercooked and had hardly any cheese on it at all. I know Italian style pizzas aren't swimming in cheese like American style ones but this really was a case of 'hunt the cheese'. The base was soggy and the salami, ham etc. on top barely warm. Such a shame as we were recommended this restaurant by the Holiday Inn we were staying in nearby and the Trip Advisor reviews were good.
