The Eggs Benedict with apple smoked bacon was delicious. The only complaint I have was the overpriced $10 French Press coffee. You really need to get a better tasting coffee if you continue to charge $10 per serving. Also, the $10 one serving that is only about 1 1/2 cups total, no refills, is just plain sad.

Vanessa, our server, was great. Very personable and did great with her service. The food was fantastic and the drinks were amazing. We gave the bartender some ideas of what we wanted and he was able to make some great drinks out of it. Loved this place, will definitely come back.

This was my second visit, this time w the hub. Bc I had the shrimp & grits the first time, I wanted him to try it as well…and wow, I loved it as much as the first time (we also had the scramble). P&S is a solid b’fast restaurant. Service was prompt & friendly, atmosphere was relaxing—an oasis amidst a city—and the vibe just right. Our go-to restaurant years ago was Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale’s (at South Coast Plaza). We miss being able to go to a place that’s nice, eye-catching, has a relaxing & cool vibe, and has great service with solid food. We were sad when it closed years ago…but now with Poppy & Seed, we may have found one that fits the bill. It’s got just the right number of food choices (not too limited and not overwhelming), and fresh, interesting choices that aren’t on menus everywhere else. Can’t wait to come back to try their dinner service.

Birthday dinner at Poppy & Seed. First, the hostess sat us next to a family with 2 small children. We asked to move to the empty table on the other side of the wall. When I looked back, the little girl was walking across our prior seats. Good thing I moved us. Overall, a nice place to get dinner, maybe chat with a friend but NOT a festive atmosphere, unenthusiastic server. They didn’t even put a candle in my free birthday dessert when the other server did for the table next to me. Disappointed!!😔 It wasn’t even worth complaining about it. We paid, tipped and left. But that’s it for us. My server did know it was a birthday celebration. I received a $15 free dessert credited on my bill!! I didn’t ask for it.

The host wasn't friendly. After making reservations for inside seating she insisted for us to sit out doors. Gave us attitude for wanting to be sat where we requested (I had allergies this morning so that's why I requested and booked for specific seating). The service was super slow. Waiter never checked on us and had to flag down just to pay. After requesting for the check he dropped off the check and still never came back. Had to walk to the bar just to make payment. I would think for a restaurant with reservations they would be more attentive to their guest. If you're looking for an ascetically pleasing place to go I would recommend this restaurant but the service I experience was really poor. Which is a bummer because this was on my top ten breakfast spots to try out.

Loved celebrating our bdays here! Staff are extremely personable, friendly and accommodating. Kudos to Ronin and GM Karen for such awesome customer service. Everyone has a great vibe! Always smiling. And have I said that the food and drinks are Amazing! Ambiance is perf! Can’t wait to go back :)

Parking was difficult and service was slow. You also had to order everything at one time. But the food was so good that it outweighed any negative comment about this place.

The seasonal tasting menu was delicious! We also did the wine pairing and each wine paired perfectly with the dishes. We were impressed! The sommelier was knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. She introduced us to the chef. It was all an amazing experience!

We really enjoyed our meal. The farm to table concept was well executed. Standout dishes were the stuffed squash flowers, ceviche, carrots and peaches, and divers scallops. Service excellent until later I. The evening when it got quite busy and at that point our server was clearly stretched too thin. The cocktails were good (though the Evening Sun wasn’t as impressive). Overall a solid night out

Honestly super disappointed in how the food tasted for how much we spent, the location is gorgeous and the service is amazing! I’m so sad about it but we will not be coming back. I think their brunch is good based on pictures and reviews but dinner was not worth it unfortunately.

We were sat outside like we requested, however, a family with two small (screaming) children were sat at the table next to us. Wasn’t the most enjoyable experience and I understand these situations are not always avoidable. I was treating my wife to a nice brunch on her last day of summer. She wanted to avoid screaming children before going back to work as a teacher the next day. This was not the case. I was hoping poppy and seed would have been able to redeem themselves after we had made reservations in April for brunch and were turned away because of a power outage.

tiny portions, pricing of food did not agree with the quality. Will not return or recommend this to anyone. Had to download app in order to make reservation with a credit card...will be deleting this app. We ordered the artichoke...it was toasted and dried out, looked great is all we can say...so dried out there wasnt anything to eat. Dont order the Tortelloni for 36 bucks...its literally 2pcs... We spend 130 buck plus tip ($145 total) then headed to dinner elsewhere. I cannot remember ever going to dinner and then going directly to another restaurant for dinner.

Service was excellent, server was attentive and answered questions knowledgeably. Favorite item was sourdough bread appetizer with the different spreads. Each one had a different but no less delicious flavor, they worked even better when combined. Ordered lobster risotto, was underwhelming, lobster was tough. Friend ordered ravioli which had the most delicious sauce but the tops of ravioli dried out very quickly not sure how long it was sitting prior to coming to table. Drinks were good.

Michelin got it wrong. This is such a confusing menu and it really doesn’t work. I had high hopes but the food - steak, salmon, Chicken, ceviche — we close to inedible. Stay away.

Overall good experience. Food was quite good but short of memorable. Their menu is a little challenging as they are a lot of appetizers and sides so with a group of 4 it was tough to get the right amount of food. By the end we were completely stuffed and barely got through mains and got no dessert. Our waitress wasn’t totally accurate with her quantity recommendations. Still positive fun place

I wanted to prove all the negative reviews wrong, but unfortunately my experience was not great. The ambiance and restaurant vibes are amazing, however the service is sooooo bad. The restaurant was not busy and we sat, unapproached, for so long! I had to call someone over to get our drink orders. There were multiple servers and not one came to greet us or take our order. The food was just ok… nothing great. If I do return, it would be just for drinks and the cuteness of the restaurant. Such a shame!
