   Fabulous small plates and wine list. Exceptional service. Happy hour is terrific. Overall, food is outstanding.

   We hadn’t been to PMG in about six months, but were reminded how delightful it is. Superb without being snooty!

   We love taking our out-of-town guests here. They have a regularly changing, but always delicious menu with unique options. It's an intimate setting that allows for a good opportunity to chat and share a delicious bottle of wine.

   Food was good but timing of food service and service were lacking. Not many diners were in the restaurant but there were only two servers, one of which was doubling as hostess. Each time a course was served to us, one of us received their dish several minutes before the others. This meant that we awkwardly watched one meal cool while awaiting the others. Besides those timing problems, service on water and wine was almost totally lacking, probably because our server had other duties as hostess. These deficiencies point to lack of training of staff & lack of oversight by management - surprisingly, on a Saturday night.

   Just an odd place. So much seems right about it, ambiance, concept (wine bar), and the server was wonderful. But they were playing 90’s rap and the place was nearly empty on a Sat night. One of our wines tasted like it had been open too long as well. Could be great, but may not be just now.

   This was a great spot for a Happy Hour/Early Dinner. We had a 5:00 reservation and the place filled up very quickly after that but we still had great service and attention from the staff. I ordered the caponata crostini as an appetizer. The serving was short on caponata and heavy on dark bread that overpowered the taste and texture of the caponata. The bread was delicious on its own but not a good combination with the caponata. The caponata itself was a departure from the traditional dish which is sublime. PMG's version lacked the complexity and flavors of a traditional caponata but was still enjoyable. I had the pasta with clams with a calabrian chili oil as a second dish. It was tasty although the clams were rather gritty. I like PMG and the happy hour wine offers are very reasonably priced. I'd like to see a better explanation of dishes that are named for a traditional dish but don't adhere to traditional ingredients.

   First time at PMG for wife's birthday and was pleasantly surprised with everything. Friendly and attentive waitress. Superb food. Manageable menu. Quaint and cozy atmosphere with subtle lighting. Definitely returning.
