   Second time at the Playground but my first time in the normal restaurant (went to 2.0 the first time). The service and and food were great and came out quickly. They even gave me a complimentary dessert for my birthday. I would recommend this place to anyone. You cannot go wrong with great food and drinks

   What a disappointment! Pork chop was huge but not cooked well enough and drowned in a sweet sauce. Fried chicken was good, but cider brine overpowered it and it was fatty . Cabbage was good-- esp chestnuts but again too much sauce

   The menu changes a lot, there are some staples, such as Uncle Lou's fried chicken. This is singularly the only place that I will eat friend chicken at. Ordered the pork chop (also a staple) which is probably the best piece of pork that I have ever had. Topped dinner off with black mission fig sticky pudding; beautiful. Service is great here. I've had Gwen serve us a couple of times and she is just wonderful.

   The food here is excellent! Must try the brussel sprouts, pork chop, and wagyu! And bring your own wine! No corkage fee!

   Went to Playground for combined NYE and birthday dinner. They had a special menu of their favorites - four courses. The food, wine, service was all spectacular. I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. We all had a great, great time!

   The staff knows their stuff. We got everything tHey recommended and nothing disappointed. Extensive cocktail and beer list. Be sure to order the fig toffee pudding if on menu. Prob never had anything that good before. Great place. Great special occasion place.

   Between freezing indoors on a long communal table and suffering a blow to the wallet, Playground left a bitter taste to my mouth and a soured note at the end of 2015. I was prepared more or less. I knew it was going to be pricy. I also read the warnings and knew the expectations of The Playground and was still disappointed. The Service was...so-so. When we saw our waitress, it was ok but then she disappear for a while. She advised us (a group of 4) that the best tactic to try out is to get 2 dishes per set to share. We took her advise and did it that way. The items that stood out (good and bad) were: 1. Scallops (which felt overpriced for just 4 slivers of it) 2. Wagyu Tartare (I am hoping the chips were made in house and it just got cold really fast... but it did taste a bit stale but the tartare was ok) 3. Tortellini (which was probably the biggest portion of the night for four people and was good) 4. Pork belly (2 bites and its gone. ) 5. Snapper (Over salted to the nearly point of being inedible. I only say this because I did clean off my plate only because its 26 bucks for a fish filet on top of charred coconut rice. No changes can be made and I wasn't going to waste my dollars by leaving food behind. Thats my philosophy. Good thing they kept my water glass full.) 6. Figgy Toffee Pudding (The highlight of the evening, warmest dish and made me think of my trip to London... except the pudding was cheaper in London.) The night was up and down to say the least. Only reason why I was full was because of all that water I drank that night.

   I took my friends to it because I've never had a bad experience there and it was time they found out what it means to dine at The Playground. They LOVED it and it was one of their favorite dining experience ever.

   The service was extraordinary and the pork chop is just happiness with every bite. I eat my food a bit on the bland side, so everything was a little bit salty to me, but the flavors were amazing. The brussels sprouts caesar with an extra splash of lemon was amazing. If you like your food tangy and fresh, the crabmeat avocado salad is perfect. The food was great but the service is what really sets this place apart. Everyone was very friendly and our server was very informative and helpful.

    I have been to the playground many times and have recommended it to lots of friends. This is the first time I was disappointed. The food was to salty and there was nothing that wowed me. I will attempt to go back after I get over it.
