We love coming to La Jolla and sitting at one of your comfortable table and chairs looking out at the fabulous old tree and pretending to be in Italy. Our pizza was an A+ and the Misto salad was delicious with lemon vinaigrette dressing. Ivan our server was friendly and very helpful and lots of fun. He is the best! Thank you for continuing to be a great place to enjoy a meal with family and friends 😋

We’ve been loyal Piatti customers for 8 years, but after tonight’s experience, we’re seriously reconsidering. We asked our server, Cezar, to make sure the chicken dish was cooked well done — yet it still came undercooked. When we raised the issue, we were told by the chef (through the server) that it was “fine,” disregarding our clear request and preference. When the manager, Alberto, came over, instead of fixing the issue, he suggested we should order something else next time — a disappointing response for regular customers. After that, service completely fell apart: we waited almost 20 minutes for water while our server deliberately ignored us. The manager later comped a couple of items, but the damage was done. Piatti’s service quality and customer care have declined significantly, and sadly, we no longer feel like valued guests.

Piatti has always been a favorite spot for our family, and it had been a while since our last visit. We were happy to find that the food was still delicious. The service, however, was atrocious. Our server didn’t approach our table for 25 minutes after we were seated. No greeting, no drink order, just showed up to get the dinner order. When we asked for Piatti’s famous bread and garlic oil, she failed to mention that they now charge for bread. So disappointing. By the time the salads arrived, all drinks were empty. The server never acknowledged this at all. We had to flag her down to ask for a refill. The busser came by and randomly removed unused flatware without replacing it, so when the entrees arrived we couldn’t eat. The service was so slow that eventually we had empty drinks again. It was not even a particularly busy night. While the food was wonderful, I can’t see returning to Piatti nor would I recommend them to anyone until they address their customer service issues.

Wonderful service and even better food. We let them know we were celebrating two birthdays and they reached out for their names. The menu had been printed with their names on top, it was such a pleasant surprise and fun for the table.

I took one of my dearest friends here for her birthday. She had never been and loved it! We had wonderful service and also bought the dipping sauce to take home.

My partner and I chose to have a nice little dinner out and I’m so glad I chose Piatti. The Demi-loaf is something I’d happily eat on its own, but the ravioli with lemon cream sauce was absolutely fabulous! For those who love the sourness and flavor of lemons- this is the dish for you! I plan to go back and keep making my way through their menu.

Piatti-La Jolla never lets you down. The food was outstanding. We sat outdoors under the beautiful tree- we did not feel rushed . The service was outstanding and food was delicious.
