Petersham Nurseries is a lifestyle destination that includes a plant nursery, an elegant greenhouse restaurant offering set menus for all diners, a shop selling exquisite antiques, homewares and gifts and a teahouse offering wholesome seasonal dishes and homemade cakes.

It is a place of calm, away from the bustle of London, that respects and is in tune with nature and positive living.

The Boglione family, who own the nurseries and live in the adjoining Petersham House are rooted to their blend of British and Italian culture which remains at the heart of the business and is reflected in the style of the food that is served. Petersham Nurseries Café is inspired by what is growing in our kitchen garden and by the produce supplied to us by our sister company, Haye Farm.

Whilst maintaining their passion for simplicity, flora, fauna and responsibly sourced produce they have created an unparalleled setting just outside of central London.

From Richmond Station it is a leisurely 25 minute walk along the Thames, or a short trip on the No. 65 bus which departs frequently from the bus stop outside Richmond Station.

I booked Petersham Nurseries to celebrate a special occasion. The experience of dining was fantastic with attentive staff, suggestions on meal options and general service cannot be faulted. The restaurant is set in a nursery and has a very rustic feel to it and beautifully done up. The food was superb. We enjoyed our meals and the wine list is comprehensive. Overall, a superb evening.

Petersham never disappoints. Ambience is unique and staff are great. Food is never bog standard. A real treat

Our meal was a birthday celebration and Petersham’s did not disappoint. I’ve never eaten there before, just coffee and cake in the cafe, but the restaurant always looked tempting. Everything was great - food, service, the welcome. The noise levels are quite high because of the way that the space is designed but we had a table in a quiet corner so we weren’t affected too much and sometimes a bit of noise is a good thing. It is expensive, it must be said, but the food was delicious. A great place for a special occasion.

This is my second time at the Petersham nurseries restaurant and sad to say it was a little disappointing. It was very expensive for what it was and most of the food arrived cold. The staff were lovely and the food I had was delicious although small and expensive. Though my husband’s pork chop was very tough
