lovely. food great. and as a single diner I was not shuffled off into a corner! Always nice and appreciated!
This restaurant is a local gem. It has delicious food, the ambiance is amazing and the service is top notch. I ten to order the grilled prawns ever time, but went with the braised beef this week. It fell apart! So delicious. The bread pudding is my go to dessert, but the coconut chocolate cake is to die for too. Don't miss this spot! We went there before a big ball and had an amazing dinner with outstanding service. There is something for everyone on their menu!
Have been several times and we love it! Food is always good and they are so personable there too. Great for special occasions. The menu has a little of everything and great specials. Can't say enough great things! A+++
My husband and I tried the rib eye steak and the chicken. Both were excellent. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked. The host Tim was charming and really seemed to care if we enjoyed our meal. He also suggested wine by the glass that perfectly complemented our meals. The arugula salad is great. This was our first time at the restaurant and we will return.
Delightful food, service, and location. Good appetizers and entrees and desserts. Good pacing, the server didn't rush us as we took our time enjoying every course. Owner checked in on us and made an excellent wine recommendation. Will definitely be back and have already recommended the place to a friend.
Unpretentious neighborhood fine dining experience. Versatile wine selection, food options good, generous portions, service aim to please, background music perfect. A restaurant that deserves notice.
Just moved to the neighborhood and I am so happy to have this restaurant close by. I took my 2 adult daughters and son-in-law for a birthday dinner. Service was excellent and the food delicious. Beautiful interior design and one of my daughters who is a graphic designer kept commenting on the wonderful logo and graphics. Will be back and can’t wait to try the happy hour in the lounge.
First time here. Excellent, creative dinner options. Service was spot on.
Very nice, classic white tablecloth restaurant, food and service were excellent. Also, nice and quiet, allowing for easy conversation.
Very nice meal well served in an attractive atmosphere with adequate parking and easy to make reservations
Excellent swordfish and scallops. Enjoyable meal!
Good experience overall. Some highlights like the clams. But for the price I was not wowed. The scallops were over cooked and the risotto was too creamy with little flavor. Could be better.
Friendly service. Wonderful food and nice location by the lake.
This was the third time we have dined at Park Place. I love the ambiance, although on the night we were there, the restaurant was almost empty. The menu is interesting and has something for everyone. The wait staff was attentive without being overbearing. I find the restaurant very comfortable.
...It was okay. The food was good, but overall, I wouldn't spend that much money (expect to pay $200+ for two people) for what we got. The outside seating is nice until you notice that there are spider webs everywhere (including spiders). Someone at an adjacent table had some questions regarding their entree, and the restaurant manager went from friendly to rude in about 2.5 seconds. Our waitress was kind, but it took 10-15 minutes for a latte and the restaurant was about 1/4 full.
We love Park Place! Food is always delicious and the service is great!
One of the best meals my wife and I have had in a long time!
Friendly upstairs server, very good food (chicken saltimbocca was excellent!), the upstairs offered a very nice view of Lake Washington. A nice place to have in the neighborhood.
Great brunch. Wonderful addition to Madison Park!
Great, friendly neighborhood place. Tim, the owner, is a very jovial fellow. All of us Lopez Islanders were sad to see him leave for the big city.
My new go-to in my neighborhood. Owner is wonderful and we are always happy!
The food was very good, so was the service.
Park Place is a great location for either a night out or a special occasion. The food is fabulous and the service in great. It’s one of our favorite spots in the Seattle area. Madison Park is a very fun neighborhood. Check it out!
Excellent, as usual!! Our out of town foodie friends were duly impressed.
good experience, will dine there again, a very nice addition to the neighborhood.
Park Place had excellent and attentive service, but our food was sub-par and the ambience was bland, particularly considering the restaurant’s price point.
On the bright side, Park Place delivered on its outstanding service pledge. Our server knew the menu and proper meal pacing. He was friendly and funny. Best part of the evening.
The biggest issue we had with Park Place was flavor and menu choices, across the board. The proteins and vegetables themselves were excellent, but the execution of the dishes was off.
This is a French Italian restaurant, so raw oysters didn’t necessarily belong, though we are in Seattle and that dish seems to be obligatory here. The remaining starters didn’t pair well with the shellfish. We chose an arugula salad, which was properly fresh and peppery but needed more than fresh, peppery arugula and a dressing. The scallops were slightly over-cooked and accompanied by . . . something rustic . . . that we wouldn’t have necessarily associated with scallops and didn’t elevate the dish. The pasta under my bolognese was superb, but the sauce itself was shallow; I tend to expect a bolognese to be thick, rich, and packed with explosive herbaceous tomato, meat, and fatty flavor given the prolonged simmer-down time, but no. Dessert was reasonably good, though basil would have offset the cloying sweetness of the strawberry sauce accompanying the doughnuts. Overall, more salt, more fat, more herbs, more . . . balanced flavor. That’s not to suggest overdoing salt, but for the price point bland food at a “rustic” restaurant doesn’t make much sense.
We had a wonderful Mother's Day brunch here! The back table seats a party of eight very nicely. The brunch menu has something for everyone and the food is delicious! The service is fantastic and it's a wonderful place!
We tried out this new restaurant and were pleasantly surprised!! The service was great, the food amazing; we will for sure be back!! Glad to have them in the neighborhood!!
This restaurant occupies the space of a restaurant I had visited previously, with terrible service and average food. I confided this to the man who greeted my party, and he (the owner/manager) was very reassuring that this would be a far better experience. He noted he has many years of experience in the restaurant business and had seen the prior place with essentially no management oversight and knew he could do better. He was right.
The food was very good, rustic Italian themed. I had the mahi mahi special, but I also tasted the grilled prawns and one of the pasta dishes. All were very good. The service was attentive, and the space is very nice, great location (ghosts of prior bad service excepted).
I would highly recommend Park Place and will be happy to come again. I wish the owner and staff the best and hope it succeeds. It deserves to.
Sweet neighborhood spot. Food and service were great.
I am hesitant to write this review, because we love this restaurant. However, I want to help with honest feedback about our one disappointing meal. As usual the wine list is great, and our salads were outstanding. But our appetizer, the hamachi crudo was terrible. It used to be larger pieces of fish mixed with a nice sauce and complimentary garnish; now it is chopped up into tiny pieces, like a salsa, the fish a barely recognizable element, and a sweet sauce. Our two pasta entrees were gummy and heavily sauced with rich cream, with almost no of the "star elements" visible.. Really gross and very disappointing from a favorite restaurant. Perhaps it was just a bad night? Hope so.
Loved the restaurant. The food and service were outstanding. The ambiance could use some improvement: the tables are SO close together, I could barely hear my husband over the blowhard gentleman right next to us (18 inches!) who boasted about himself all night at a very loud volume! Really ruined the experience for us. The noise level really escalated as the evening went on, they really need some sound buffering in the dining room, and maybe some space between tables.
great service, delicious menu and everything was perfect.
our new neighborhood go to.
We loved the restaurant. Food was delicious, service was great and loved the location and setting. We will definitely return.
We went to Park Place for a date night and were quite pleased. Though only opened for six months they really seem to know what they are doing. The cocktails and oysters to start
with were wonderful. My husband had the Chicken Saltimbocca, a breast and a thigh, accompanied by gruyere spaetzle . It was very flavorful. I had the halibut, the fish or the day, and it was delicious. For dessert we shared the coconut cake with chocolate ganache. It was moist and totally amazing. The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere very nice. It will be even nicer in the summer when they open up the large garage door that faces Lake Washington.
We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
The Scallops were marvelous. How lucky we are to have a favorite place, that fits Madison Park to a T.
This was our third visit to Park Place, and the meal and service were excellent. My husband and I ordered the cod special and it was delicious. Our guest ordered a pasta dish and reported that it was wonderful. Portion sizes were large; my husband and I split a salad and it was bountiful! On our first visit, the noise level was so loud that we couldn't talk, and that deterred us from returning for a while. This time, it was a quiet Tuesday night so that wasn't an issue, but the restaurant seems to be taking steps to address the noise level. This restaurant is definitely a positive addition to the neighborhood, and we'll be back.
This is an easy restaurant to walk to for us. We had recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to give it a shot! The ambiance is good, the front door staff and wait staff are excellent! They don’t skimp on the cocktails either! Great music inside. The food was good but not excellent. I would go again for cocktails
Can’t go wrong with the Park Place. Food is great every time. Had the grilled Romaine salad lay night, delicious and will definitely order again!
