Wonderful food, but very loud
This was a great restaurant. Looking forward to going back and sitting outside when the weather is nice. Great place for dinner and drinks
To say the place has changed a lot since the days of Zimzala, well I guess. The atmosphere is active and interesting with a mix of old and new attendees. So, the service is pretty good with lots of employees to take your order, bring you drinks, clear your table after each course, etc. The cocktails weren't the greatest, gin and tonic that resembled a glass of ice water with a twist, but from there the food took over. Great poke bowl with just the right amount of heat and an order of muscles that could have fed two as a main course. Our entrees came out hot and aromatic and had ample amounts of sides heaped around the platter. Perfectly prepared they were some of the best meals we've had in downtown H.B.
We went for Sunday brunch and were not disappointed. I had the Eggs Benny hash and my friend had the Poke bowl, both were excellent, along with the mimosas! Zach, our waiter knew we were there to celebrate and took good care of us. Can't wait to go back to try their fun drink options and happy hour!
The check was really expensive for 4 tacos , guacamole and shrimp ceviche almost 100
Amazing staff. Hip spot. Impressive menu.
It was WAY too loud for Sunday brunch due to a bridal party that took over two massive tables. In my opinion, they should have had a private room because their fun was disruptive to the rest of the customers. We were definitely hoping for a more positive experience as we were also celebrating a special occasion.
Wow! I was so impressed by Pacific Hideaway. We brought my mom here for her 60th Birthday and from the service to the food, it was all simply amazing! I had the Benny Hash & it was so unique & beyond delicious. We also ordered the bread pudding toast & it was exceptional. Mimosas are $10 with a $1 refill option. We sat on the patio & the view did not disappoint. Highly recommend.
My first dining experience was for my birthday and we had an amazing time. The service was spectacular, the food was amazing and unique, the ambiance was beautiful and I can't wait to go back.
New Year’s eve dinner was awesome. Entertainment was excellent.
Let me preface that we went out nye so there was a prefixed menu and that's what two of us ordered. It was at best.... Eh.... I love all food and I'm not a picky but these dishes were either bland or too many competing flavors to be good. One person ordered the lettuce wraps and we all eat spicy food and that was not edible. The spice level was over the top. The one good thing sadly was the cheeseburger one person ordered.. I also added the wine pairing.. That was on a next level of awful...I actually couldn't believe they served those.. There's so much better wines that aren't expensive that would've worked, it tasted like you'd have to try hard to pick four super horrible wines. Great ambiance though.. Our waitress was sweet, but pretty sure she was stoned. We got our first few dishes back to back and then we didn't see her for quite sometime...she looked shocked we didn't get our dessert or final wines.. Or ability to order more drinks.. Just overall, this is a few minutes from home, but we'll never go back.
I did not like that they had an expensive New Year's Eve menu and were hesitant to share the regularly priced menu with us. They should be upfront about what there options are.
Always a good spot, even for locals to grab some good, healthy bites. Cocktails are on point as well.
We had our Christmas dinner here. Everything was so yummy and we loved that we had both the option of the pre-fixed holiday menu and also the regular restaurant menu. The queso dip and fish and short rib tacos were all so tasty. We also got the double double hamburger and it was delicious. The cocktails were refreshing and I loved the variety of the cocktail menu. We ordered the eggnog cheesecake and it was amazing it was like the best flavors of Christmas on a plate-so good yummy 😋
Also Love seeing all the well behaved dogs. 2nd time we’ve done Christmas brunch at Pacific Hideaway and It was great
It was an awesome breakfast at the pacific hideaway
Wonderful gem in Huntington Beach, somehwhat tucked away from the main crowds. Great food, nice patio with an ocean view (not right on the ocean but down the street). Will definitely be back.
Went for breakfast. Can recommend the Hideaway Hash Benny and Veggies in the AM. Crab Toast was okay; on the small side and not that flavorful. No espresso drinks were available; was told the machine was broken. Very good service and nice atmosphere.
Amazing fresh food...great drinks too! Went for dinner and came back for brunch.
fun, lively ambience, good food variety, and exceptional service from server Lauren!
Great location- excellent service
Waitress Yvette was the best
Amazing cocktails and food ! Cute cozy place. Our bartender was awesome on Thanksgiving. We will definitely be back soon.
I hadn't been here since it was Zimzala, I liked that place so decided to give this one a try. Unfortunately I am not a fan of the redo. First off the service was extremely slow, I had bacon, eggs, potatoes and toast. You would think for $15 I would get 2 slices of toast as which is usually customary, nope... 1 slice of bread only, and unbuttered at that. The eggs were terrible, I asked for over medium and what I got was a runny mess. I was tempted to bring it to the waiters attention but he was nowhere to be found. They were not very busy either so I don't understand the slow service. I like to try new places and now I've got this place out of the way, I won't be back.
Well a great fusion menu from oysters to tacos to pad Thai in one mean. All the food was great and service was exceptional.
I little loud but still a great meal. It is priced a little night than normal. But still very good.
Burgers and appetisers were excellent, curry was okay. Service was a touch slow.
I’m a huge fan of this hidden gem restaurant. It’s not your average hotel restaurant! They have really fresh and creative food and a very cool bar with killer cocktails and beer. You can’t beat the view from the patio of the pier and happy hour every day 👍🏻
Enjoyed having brunch here. Dog friendly. Victor our server was very nice. The food portion is not that big and a bit in the pricey side for the amount of food you get but all the same the atmosphere and location makes up for it. I personally would not come here if they were not dog friendly. Plus it is very convenient since we were staying in the hotel too...
First time, went for brunch. Great Hamburger but look forward to going back for some of the other fusion dishes, Happy hour looks fabulous. Good, friendly service
Amazing Restaurant! You can see the ocean on the patio and service was wonderful. You can bring your dog and they have a menu for them. I had dinner and lunch as I stayed at the hotel. Both times I had great food, service was spot on and friendly. Not overly priced and well worth the stop.
Our waiter, Zac went above and beyond. He took care of our needs, gave us suggestions and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We appreciated his great personality, charm and smile.
Fun appetizers. The main dishes were creative but not executed well - they were over-seasoned and too salty.
Fun and vibrant decor and atmosphere. Friendly wait staff.
Service was good. Only downside was they were out of the beer I ordered and out of turkey...basically the first two items I wanted they didn't have. Being out of turkey was more of a shocker...
This restaurant is excellent! Terrific food and service plus an outstanding view. This is the only place in HB that has really great food for both brunch or dinner. They also have a great happy hour I want to check out
The place was great! Absolutely loved the decor and people working there were very sweet. Great way to start my 28th Birthday. :)
Such a great place for Sunday brunch with friends. The patio is a perfect spot to eat.
The food was very mediocre, especially considering the price. I feel like there was hardly any seasoning and I tried 3 different dishes, all lacked flavor. The cocktails barely had any alcohol in it and were pricey. Overall I don’t think the quality of the food matched the price. Our server was very pushy and I felt obligated to order a drink because she asked me about 10 times if I wanted to order a drink so I finally did and didn’t even enjoy the drink. We also asked our server for recommendations on food and she listed everything on the menu as a recommendation so that wasn’t really much help. Definitely will not be back.
Our waitress was less than adequate. The hostess ran into the waiter on his way to deliver our meal and they had to remake our meal. They took a long time to get our food to us. They gave my wife the medium steak and me the medium well and that was the opposite of what we asked for. The good thing is that we had our second drinks comped.
The ambiance was nice and the food was good
Creative delicious dishes. Great view, nice setting
Mango salad was a little weird, but veggie curry with chicken was very good.
Great spot. Pick a night when there is not a live band playing out from in the street. Oh.... be ready for some fun ping pong!!
