With an emphasis on sharing, the lunch and dinner menus will offer dishes from “Soil, Land and Sea” categories, such as grilled hispi cabbage and smoked aubergine, whole jiang-glazed chicken and hand-pulled lobster noodles, alongside a variety of lip-smacking ceviches.
The eighty-five-cover site is split over two floors and in the main restaurant area there is an open kitchen, providing guests with dynamic views of the intensity of the working kitchen, such as sparking embers rising up into the air as the chefs cook over an open coal fire.
Second time dining at Pachamama East and a similarly enjoyable experience. Great menu including probably one of the best vegan menus I’ve seen. Really fun atmosphere and a killer playlist to help get your night going!
My second visit to Pachamama East. Highly recommended! Great food, great service, cosy and casual. Lovely vibe and cool tunes playing in the background :)
Absolutely gorgeous, each dish was packed with so much flavour. We were totally blown away!
Really recommend the tasting menu! Massive portions and a good sampling of the menu. The pork belly, aubergine and ceviches were incredible!
Where to take a friend who is doing dry January and has decided he's going to try being vegan, except he'll still eat fish. It turns out this was the perfect place. An imaginative selection of mocktails - the Geranium Garden a particular hit - and a menu that divides neatly in to land, sea and soil. I think we tried nearly all the fish dishes and only one was deemed a bit dull - the miso sea bass was particularly good. The vegan plates where also a success, especially the caramelised aubergine and (implausibly) the cabbage salad. Service was friendly and helpful and the room at the back of the restaurant was quiet enough to catch up on the gossip without lacking in atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Delicious food, great service, brunch tasting menu is great value
Lovely place, great ambience. Nice service. One waiter was particularly very attentive and nice. Food was very nice and great value for money. Clean toilets (with interestingly lively music)
Great food. We had the tasting menu and out of all the plates we loved 90%. Staff were friendly but lacked a little attentiveness, odd seeing as it wasn't busy. Nicely designed room but the music was a bit loud and the playlist was a bit weird.
Came here in the summer on a quiet weekday night and had a great experience. Brought the girlfriend here on NYE and unfortunately didn’t quite live up to previous visit. Very loud, servers weren’t massively attentive/ were just throwing dishes down without really explaining. Perhaps as it was very busy this was the reason, as all stuff seemed very stressed.
I myself am a dining person of some experience. This place is tidy. Service is sweet and food is good. Lemme know if you want me to make you a mix tape.
It was lovely. The people who work there are kind and cool. They genuinely want you to enjoy your experience with them. They take pride in every dish, right down to the last detail. At one point I started laughing at how good every bite was! And my Husband agreed. If you come in for anything at all, do both ceviche’s and pair them with the tequila and sangria or a dry crisp wine. They are mouthwatering and oh so perfect. The food and the drinks were good quality. The atmosphere is low lit and easy to relax in. Great for casual dining or date night. The back bar is super funky and cool to hang if your coming in to pick. If your a foodie well you must have eaten here by now. Or your an idiot.
Nice ambiance but very poor and expensive vegetarian options
it was wonderful! it was our waitresses second day and she was so lovely and helpful and mindful with my mums gluten intolerance.
First of all, the food was great. What let it down was the service. They lost our main order and it was only after waiting and steadily drinking wine on an empty stomach did I ask about our food. Our waiter didn't notice that our mains hadn't arrived. He dealt with it promptly (although the table next to us still received the same dish ahead of us). We were also offered a discount to apologize for the screw up. It was very busy (mid December) and in my opinion, there are too many tables for the space as even the waiters had trouble getting through to tables.
Pachamama East was perfect. The only thing was the very loud music. It is really annoying having to shout to talk to someone. Food was great tho.
Foods are good, but one or two dishes are overpriced, like sweet potato noodle, you can definitely get triple or more the size from China town.
Hands down one of the best restaurants ive eaten in ... ever! The dishes were so unique and every bite was delicious! Cannot wait to return.
Great service and excellent food. And not too pricey!
I will definitively come back.
We were never brought the drinks we ordered (but they were still on the bill). The portions of food were incredibly small considering their price. And finally I was there with my Peruvian friend who didn’t even eat a bite because nothing was actually Peruvian.
I loved the relaxed atmosphere. There was a DJ playing music all night. It was loud enough to enjoy it but not too loud that we could not have a decent conversation at the table.
We did not have to wait too long for the food and it was delicious.
Food was amazing but not for those prices
Food is unusual but excellent, lovely staff and great open kitchen
This is a beautiful restaurant, the setting makes you feel like you're in a stunning Italian piazza (only you're actually indoors and cosy). The food is adventurous and delicious and unlike anywhere else I've been. Whilst we ordered the non veg set menu, some of the best dishes were in fact the veggie ones so it'd be great if you you're a veggie too. We left full and very happy. Only slight gripe was the person serving us was quite awkward which was a bit weird, maybe it was his first day. Anyway, we highly recommend this place for a special romantic dinner or a group of friends, it's a treat.
It was a bit overpriced for what it was . Staff were lovely but the brunch menu wasn’t great. I wouldn’t return.
We really enjoyed our trip - the food was exceptional and the cocktails were great. It is fairly pricey, but service was also good except for a slight frustration with staff at the end.
The food was overpriced for what it was and portions were small. The food was quite nice but nothing outstanding. Service was almost two attentive with three different waiters asking if we were ready to order.
Fun delicious and very welcoming. Great tunes!
Great food, great service and great atmosphere!! Would highly recommend
This was my second visit and unfortunately it was nowhere near as good as my first visit. I think this a combination of the menu changing and the amount of covers they have for a small space, which inevitably affects the waiters ability to be attentive or even notice you.
As I mentioned the menu has changed and not for the better, previously the menu was small tapas and of a sharing concept. We ordered 'POLLITO A LA BRASA’, LAMB’S LETTUCE, LEMON THYME', BEEF SHORT RIB, DUCK ON RICE, BROCCOLI and CARAMELISED AUBERGINE, PEANUTS, CORIANDER OIL. The portions were absolutely massive and for 2 people this was WAY too much food, I have been to many a tapas restaurant and the server always recommends the amount of dishes required. A good server would have informed us that we had ordered too many dishes. In addition to this the quality of the food was very disappointing! I would visit again but for drinks not food.
Finally a restaurant in London with enthusiastic staff, great food and ambience to boot!
The bottomless brunch aspect of the meal was great- £25 for what ended up being 3 bottles of Prosecco between two. However the food was disappointing, and the waiter didnt give us great recommendations or help us through the menu. We got a "main special" because we were advised that this was the best option, but it was tiny and came with nothing (which we were also not advised about).
Forgot a cocktail for ages, so by the time it arrived we had to order another for my wife. Then forgot one of the courses on the tasting menu.
Great vegan tasting menu! Flavours unlike any I'd had before
It was amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful and the food delicious! I recommend it and of course I will visit it again
Very energetic atmosphere, and nice look and feel of the restaurant. However, the music was a bit too loud. We had the tasting menu. Which is a good way to try different dishes from the menu that you might not have chosen yourself. But some of the flavours were quite overwhelming, like soy. I didn't like it that they served the dishes (starters and mains) in random/mixed order. Deserts were delicious. Overall we liked the restaurant, but we found the tasting menu medium value for money. I probably wouldn't come back in the (near) future.
Great food and a cosy chic vibe, but very overpriced for what it is.
Great atmosphere and service, food was not the best. The bread and meat were too burned to eat.
Although the menu looked fascinating, the actual food was not special. There was yuzukosho tzatziki with zero taste of yuzukosho, for example. We are group of 5, and so sampled quite a number of dishes and all of them were just ok. Even coffee was disappointing.
Good location but i bet it'll be hard to survive in the competitive Shoreditch neighbourhood
The place is gorgeous. The food is good, shame it is served on (reusable) plastic plates.
Average to low: food was nothing special, very loud (DJ playing house tunes) and service was average
