Osteria Italian Bar & Kitchen embodies a hybrid of a rustic Italian market, a fine dining restaurant, and a refined, late-night bar. Our menu by Fabio Viviani includes a dozen fresh homemade pastas, slow-roasted meats, wild fish and seafood, a generous pizza selection, and a hearty wine and craft cocktail collection. In one, harmonizing space, Italian classics are both elevated and celebrated.

Can’t go wrong with this place as they serve some of the most consistently delicious food in downtown. Service is great, they have plenty of staff and they perform on the level you’d expect from a high quality restaurant. Good indoor and outdoor areas, and both areas have comfortable bar seating as well. We are still working through the menu, but just about everything is excellent so far. The braised octopus and tuna carpaccio are our favorites, and I can’t even choose a best pasta because they are all so good. This is one of the best restaurants to open in this neighborhood in years.

Lunch after an evening in St Pete. Mom had the baby kale Caesar and I had the gnocchi pesto. Both were delicious. I’ve never had gnocchi that light. So good. Would definitely go again if I’m in the area.

Apps were mediocre at best and very overpriced. Main courses were incredible. Tiramisu was unique and extremely tasty. Service was very good. Group of drunk kids sat at the table next to us halfway through the meal which diminished ambiance. Overall good experience but a very high price point.

Came here for the first time for a girls brunch. Service was great and so was the food. The high chairs were dirty and we had to have the fan turned on outside which took time. Other than that, great experience. We will defiantly be back.

Bad service, bad atmosphere, bad drinks, bad food. Very disappointing after spending over $200 on what could have been a nice date night for our anniversary. We won't be back.

Food was very good, but the service was off. Plentiful portions and very fresh tasting. The restaurant is not very big, so we were surprised by the slower and inattentive service. Maybe just an off night though. Have been for lunch when it was not crowded and the service was good then.

Good was delicious but they knew it was a special occasion and I didn’t feel they cared. The service was okay for such a nice restaurant.

I made reservations for brunch and upon arrival we are told that only a buffet was available. For a restaurant to have nearly a 5 star rating, lowering their standards to a buffet only is an odd play. The food choices were a pathetic ensemble of banquet food. Salad with a mayonnaise dressing, cold and soggy vegetable lasagna, shrimp sitting out for who knows how long, cold red potatoes, and a bolognese. NONE of it was good. NONE of it was prepared by an executive chef of any sort. Our server mentioned an omelette so we gave that a shot. Bad choice. The omelettes were cold and lifeless. No taste to them at all. The mimosa tasted like canned orange juice. The best part of it all was the $50 a head charge for banquet food. Never going back. They should be ashamed charging $50 a person for food they didn’t even make.

The restaurant is lively and energetic and the food was outstanding. The only thing I didn’t love was the decor of the restaurant. It looked cheesy. An attempt at modern gone bad. We will definitely be back.

The brunch menu was rather small although all 4 at the table enjoyed our dishes. I was disappointed that the baby dutch pancakes were no longer available as that's what initially piqued my interest via Instagram. The waitress let us know that they had been asked about numerous times although they had never been on the menu since she started working there so perhaps write on the IG post they're no longer available?

Food was really good. Tried to seat us outside even though we had a reservation. Could barely hear each other talk. The only reason the food was priced the way is was because of a “Top Chef”. Overall the food was very good and we had a good evening.

We dined at Osteria to celebrate our anniversary, because our first visit there was really enjoyable-great food, good service. This time the food was really disappointing. Had to send back my pasta, which looked pitiful. It was ice cold and appeared as if someone had eaten half of it. It was a few noodles in the bottom of a bowl. My companions’s plate were robust and full. Although the manager and server were very attentive and apologetic, my food arrived after the others at the table had finished their meals. And even then, the food was nothing special. I cN only imagine that there is a different chef since opening and the staff is also inexperienced. This restaurant is not sure what it wants to be. Fine dining or hip. Music was so out of place and annoying. At the end of the day, nothing matters if the food and service are not good. Will not be back. So disappointing to spend a celebration there.

Cute outdoor patio in the front of the restaurant. We had great service throughout the meal. We shared the smoked mozzarella app and the poached pear salad. Both were good and plenty for two people to share. Our entrees were the cioppino and the hanger steak. Both good and filling. A nice choice for a Sunday evening meal.

Started by giving us a filthy glass. They switched it. Service was average. Food was incredibly overpriced! Not anywhere near what it should’ve been. Ravioli dish was pretty good. Seafood linguini was terrible. Like rubber. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend. At $20-35 per plate and $20 appetizers you expect something good. This failed us miserably for our anniversary.

We originally ate here because there was an event at Franklin Manor. I really just wanted snacky foods, but this was a pleasant surprise! We love their Prosciutto Pizza and the Rigatoni in a Jar! The only two things we’ve had from there because they’re just so good!
