We love this restaurant. We always get good service and the food is interesting and also delicious.
Great food. Very pricey but worth it
Suberb!! Everything was incredible! Service, food is amazing and environment!
We had an amazing dinner at Osteria Mozza last night. Our server Jen was so nice and attentive and incredibly knowledgeable. The food was perfect from start to finish every dish every bite was otherworldly! The food and service were as good as I can ever remember. We will definitely be back.
Always an absolute pleasure from start to finish!!
Excellent service helped the delicious food taste even better. I love the arugula and fennel salad - could have eaten more of it; the shaved brussels were perfect as always. The agnolotti were so delicate and perrfectly seasoned.
There were 3 of us and we shared all dishes; had two additional pastas all good but the Agnolotti was my far my favorite. The grilled whole Orata was done to perfection and the seasonings set it off well. One note about all of the above dishes - they were all so perfectly seasoned that nothing had to be added.
The only disappointment was that there were no donuts which I used to love but we ordered Nana's Torte. I did not like this at all nor did my guests. It is always a pleasure to go to Mozza!
Best Italian food in Los Angeles
Wonderful from service to food. Top notch - and worth a spot on your LA bucket list.
Classic and upscale but friendly and welcoming this is equally appropriate for special occasions and for a nice dinner out after a year in pandemic jail.
Food is all based on classic Italian recipes with a twist supplied by the magic of Nancy Silverton.
Worth the hefty tab. Don't miss an evening here.
Another fantastic meal at Mozza. Good was amazing. Service was super. Highly recommend
The entire experience was wonderful. Our server was fantastic, filled knowledge and spunk!!
Thank you for a fantastic evening.
unique flavor but not the best . But I enjoyed it
Mentioning that Osteria Mozza had the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had should set you up for the incredible meal you are about to have. We went with our waiter’s recommendations and weren’t steered wrong. The mozzarella shared plates were as amazing to eat as they were described on paper. The pasta was flawless, the dessert was the most interesting take on a banana cream pie I’ve seen. Go here!!
Dishes served we’re either too spicy, too salty, undercooked, too rich, very over flavored. After a bite or two, you don’t really want to finish the dish.
One pasta dish that was ordered came out with incorrect pasta noodles and we were told that they had run out and decided on their own to switch to a different type of noodle without coming to the table 1st to let us know or give us a choice of which type of pasta that we would like instead.
The only saving grace is the high quality buffalo mozzarella but even that came with excessive extras on the dish that didn’t need to be there, along with an over toasted, greasy piece of bread.
The whole experience was a complete disappointment
What an amazing experience. The food was outstanding. It's kind of what I expected from Nancy Silverton. Lol. Will definitely be back.
This is my second time dining at Osteria Mozza and both time the food was extremely salty! I’m very known as a person who eats salty foods, but this was not something normal! I couldn’t even eat more than 3 bits! Both time I had the same experience.
Food, atmosphere and front host/hostess were great!
Wait person never came back after he picked up our dishes before our pasta course. My husband would have liked more wine ! Guess he was too busy - it is the times and understandable but still wish he had checked in with us.
We look forward to coming back and trying the other restaurants as well.
My favourite restaurant in Los Angeles. ALWAYS outstanding. And I have to say the noise level was lovely. One of the bright spots of this time is the conversation that can be had at the table. Loved the Steak in broth. WOWOWOW. And the Salad with hard boiled egg. OMG. Everything we ordered was excellent and I was so grateful to our server for allowing us the BUDINO from the PIZZERIA. I will drive across oceans for that desert!
Thank you as always for talking good care of us. WE SO APPRECIATE YOU.
our table was on the alley of the restaurant, which was very weird placing. the food want's good, we're expected way more from it. definitely will not come back
Great anniversary dinner. Couldn’t drink the complimentary champagne because my fiancé is pregnant but overall great gesture.
Really quite wonderful. Beautiful ambiance and great service. Had to wait a while for our table, but that was only because the previous occupants of our reserved table were lingering for a long time. The food was delicious, loved the burrata and the oxtail ragu especially. The baby kale salad was too salty for my taste.
Great Italian food for sure. I would definitely come back here.
Excellent food. Great service. One of my favorite restaurants.
Everything was great but my only problem was the coffee. Probably, it’s a high quality coffee bean but it spoiled my whole palate.
Excellent food and service !! The place its beautiful.
I first off must fully admit to having super high expectations. So. Maybe its me. BUT.
I go out to eat alone. A lot. Because I like to experience a place where my full commitment is on my food experience.
I am fully aware this is not for everyone... and certainly not something ideal for restaurants either. However, it has been my experience, tonight not withstanding, dining by myself is great.
Osteria Mozza is awful. And I dont say this lightly as I am a huge fan of Nancy Silverton.
I have been looking forward to dinner here for awhile.
1) No bread. What kind of Italian place has no bread offering? I came to find out that there is a bread option. But my server didn't enlighten me to that fact. The GM did when I questioned him about it. It is important for a later dish.
2) Octopus. When you get it served not fried, it should he crispy on the outside and tender on the inside ... not chewy... and soggy...
3) Bacon Burrata. The cheese was so good. But it got lost in all of the other "stuff"... and there was not enough of it to go around......
4) Raviolo. This was the best part of the meal. A ravioli with egg and ricotta... sage brown butter.... so great... but no bread to have some scarppettza action.. when I asked: oh, "just use your fork" .... Not, oh let me get you some bread
6) orchetta with sausage. Had anyone (or the menu) mentioned there was fennel in it.. i would have passed. Again...this I could have been more forceful: "oh I don't like fennel" ... Ill take some of the blame here.
7) Gnocchi with duck ragu. Well. God bless duck ragu. That part was good. But this is the worst gnocchi I've ever had. It was huge and so gummy. Too dense and technically inept.
8) Dessert. Was a tarte de nonna. This would have been great... if I could have eaten it with a knife and fork... but alas I had only a fork, and the whole thing became crumbs that I had to use my fingers to help scrap up.
I want to write more but I'm at the limit.
Excellent as usual great food and excellent service
Food was great. It is a little pricey, but the food is worth it.
As usual, Osteria Mozza has top notch service. Always attentive and always friendly. Ambiance is more on the quiet side. Tables are at least 6-8 ft apart. We generally start with a beer (Heff) and wine (Moscato). Our absolute faves are mozzarella di bufala with prosciutto, fettunta, grilled octopus, and tagliatelle with oxtail ragú. Not a huge fan of the fish unless it’s the branzino or the ravioli. Their fettunta is super delish and crunchy. The wife and I always have one each! Also, the the oxtail ragú is one of the best pastas ived ever had. Everything is cooked to perfection and items are brought to your table in a timely manner. We usually dine here once every couple months.
The food is outstanding. I don't recommend you sit in the back patio. The atmosphere there is not comfortable and not what you would expect for fine dinning. We asked to be moved inside and they gave us the perfect table for two. The service is second to none. And should be for what you pay for. The music however was terrible. 80's top 40 rock. ? It was so out of place in this restaurant. Like something you'd hear in cheap burger joint. So for us, the food, the service, all fantastic. Music sucked.
We celebrated 2 birthdays and the attention we received was fantastic.
The food was wonderful, I had the skirt steak, and it was such a healthy portion, I shared it and still had some leftover for lunch the next day.
Ralph, one of the waiters had the perfect balance of checking in, respecting our conversation, and chatting with us and our teens. We'll definitely be back!
Even post pandemic they still have it
Wow how have I only found this restaurant after living in LA 4 years! Amazing food fantastic, staff excellent! Can’t wait to come back
We were ushered into a side area that was nothing like the rest of the restaurant. Ambiance (what you’re paying for) was horrible and the food is just average
I recommend the Duck Confit and the buffalo mozzarella with prosciutto. Everything I had though was fantastic!
We had a pleasurable experience everything was excellent food was amazing beautiful environment peaceful easy access valid parking five star
Menu could have been a little more specific, kind of difficult
The food and service was outstanding. I had the ravioli and the duck. Memorable. One negative is no brand name liquor.
