On the last night of service, they ran out of food. Oh well. Not the best memory.

Really great. Great food and ambiance!

When we come into the restaurant, nobody came to us. So we waited at the entrance for about 5 min. Then staff brought us wrong meals 2 times (entree and desert). The quality of their staff can be improved.
The restaurant is beautiful, spacious (most restaurants in this area are so crowded), and clean. The taste of their meals is really good. I would recommend this place, but hopefully their service will be improved soon.

We came here once before and ever since all my mom does is talked about how good the food was. We went back again and it is still consistently good. My only thing to pick is their gelato is overly dressed.... This time we tried the Carbonara pizza, squid ink pasta, Calamari and Pistachio Gelato. Pizza was so silky smooth with the egg beaten and poured at the end. You can taste the freshness of the pasta and the mussels.
We saw someone ordering the fish ( i am guessing Branzino) and they filet that in front of you. We will most likely try that next time.

My partner and I came here to celebrate my birthday as well as his aunt's birthday. Dinner service was perfect in every respect. The food was amazing, fresh, delicious and the portion size was just right. The staff was very attentive and the pace of the service was excellent. Couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate and can't wait to come back again!

Lively room as it filled up over the course of the evening. House made pastas ranged from good (lobster cavatelli) to very good, with rigatoni clearly the best. Acqua pazza fish preparation had little flavor. Signature zeppole were a disappointment, small portion and not a lot of flavor (the straciatella we added was good). Pistachio ice cream, cherry, and lemon dessert did not work - flavors too cacophonous. Good selection of wines by the glass, including a nice nero d’avola. Among the many Italian-inspired choices in the area, this would not be in the top rank.

We’ve been many times before and always look forward to our next visit. Service is especially wonderful, and food and ambiance stand out as well. Great evening, and look forward to our next evening at Cal Mare soon!

We went here after leaving Fig & Olive that was way too noisy on Saturday eve, more like a dance club. Much quieter at Cal Mare, very nice yet casual atmosphere. Food was delicious and unique, and friendliest service we have had in a long time.

The experience exceeded our expectations. Food is presented in a different style as was the lasagna which was delicious. Our server Ashley B performed very well and represented her employer in an excellent fashion. The restaurant provide us with sample food extra's which I thought was delightful. I would highly recommend Cal Mare.

Our server Jordan (?) was great. Very knowledgeable of the menu, made good recommendations, and was overall very good. Could not figure out why there were not more people in the place on a Saturday night at prime time. Food was good but not as good as it could have been. Someone in our group had the pizza, which looked great. Lobster Buccatini was fair - the lobster was a bit dry. Overall a good spot for a business group, which we were.

We had a great dinner with great attentive service at Cal Mare. Everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to make the evening memorable. The manager, Robert greeted us and made sure that we were taken care of during the evening. We will definitely return for more great food.

I have a good overall experience. The only thing was the food was extremely spicy and it wasn’t mentioned in the menu.

The rigatoni was one of the best plates of pasta Ive had in Los Angeles

In my experience very few meals are stellar from start to finish. This meal was the exception. Every course was not only delicious, but also well timed. I will certainly be back the next time I’m in LA. Do yourself a favor and make sure you have the oysters. Literally the best ever.

The staff was amazing but we did wait a bit too long for our food. The Happy birthday card (hand written) was such a nice touch and the Canole Mountains were very much appreciated. You have a great selection of Italian sparkling which I truly loved. We’ll be back soon.

We celebrated a special occasion and the service was excellent. The menu is varied with lots of interesting choices. Some typical things but also items that are more unusual. The quality of the food was very good - everything from octopus, to pizza, pasta and pork chops. Prices were high but we enjoyed both the food and the service and would definitely return.

This restaurant is a gem. You might not traditionally expect to find a place this good in a shopping mall but the centers these days are attracting very high end dining to attract people to the mall and hoping they spend more time and money visiting the other retail stores.
Cal Mare has fantastic food and superb service. Each course was truly wonderful. From the little gem salad, and the summer melon with prosciutto, to the agnolotti stuffed with mushrooms, truffle and summer corn, to the perfectly cooked snapper, to the dessert gelato, I am both of my dining companions were savoring each mouthful. We will be back soon for sure.

For convenience and quality food, Cal Mare is a great choice. Although the lunch menu is limited, everything we ate was excellent.
Would love to return for dinner.

Without a doubt, the best dining experience we've ever had (and we eat out alot!) So much more than a meal - outstanding service, attentive staff, including Robert the GM, amazing food! A bit of a splurge, but truly worth it.

Great food and service! The bibb lettuce salad was one the best salads I've ever ate and the portion size was excellent. I would either increase the portion size of the pasta, or lower the price so that the value is better. The shrimp pasta with 4 shrimp tasted delicious!

First time at Cal Mare and my family & I were extremely pleased with the entire experience! Our waitress, Debbie, was so incredible and made our dinner extra special (it was my cousin’s birthday). She was so sweet and attentive, with such a wonderful attitude! Our food was also delicious, we enjoyed everything we ordered AND the food came out quick! Inside ambiance is fantastic as well, and the decor is beautiful. Would highly recommend this place for a special occasion or date night stop, as it’s a little on the pricier side.

Celebrated a birthday here -- and the restaurant went above and beyond to make it a special night. I actually started feeling guilty about all the nice additional touches they treated us to: birthday card from the staff and chef, complimentary prosecco, and a birthday cake pyramid made out of cannoli. Plus our server Nick was nice, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond attending to various food allergies -- all with a great relaxed vibe.

What a delicious lunch at Cal Mare. Everyone was so nice and friendly and the restaurant is just beautiful, love the color scheme and the open air sea feel. We devoured the zeppole, prosciutto, stracciatella and kaluga caviar in seconds. That dish is a must, thank you to the chef for allowing us to enjoy this dinner item during lunch. The mussels were fresh and clean and we finished lunch up with a sweet and succulent corn soup. Our cocktail and Prosecco were alsDefinitely will come back for dinner.
