We always have a great time at Osteria32. I would day this time, the music was piped in a little too loud and interfered with the intimate setting and conversation. Also , everyone's pizza was perfect except mine and it wasn't hot, nor was the cheese melted in the middle. I sent it back and it came out a bit warmer, but I kept it anyway, not to be a bother. No one wants to be "that guy." Our waiter was terrific and we felt well-attended to.
It has been a while since we have been here. Our food was very good. Our waiter was very good. It took a long time to get our beverages, it seems like you may be a little short staffed. We will return though. I was glad to see that you were busy. The food was very good. They did have to turn people away if they didn't have reservations, even though there were empty tables. I would recommend making reservations.
Great new Italian restaurant that is cozy and relaxing. The only thing that I would change is get rid of the styrofoam containers for left over portions. There has to be a more modern eco-friendly solution.
My girlfriend and I dined there for a date night. Loved our time there. Staff was great, food was great, everything was perfect. If you have not been. Go!
Our server was excellent and the food was delicious. Definitely will recommend and return
Our entrees were the evening special--the salmon over a bed of wonderful vegetables. There was a honey sauce on the salmon. The salmon was perfectly done. It was moist and delicious. The fresh fish was a real treat here. I thought I was at Oceanaire in Indi. where they fly the fish in fresh on a daily basis. We started with the Roman salad which had phenomenal artichokes and roasted vegetables with a bed of lettuce. We were celebrating a birthday so we shared a serving of tiramisu. It is amazing that we have such a wonderful restaurant in Muncie. Experiencing the joys of I-69 are not necessary any longer when one wishes a fine meal.
My new favorite restaurant. I love the ambiance, soft music and candlelight. We never feel rushed and we usually linger over some wine. My only complaint is the use of styrofoam for carrying out our left overs. We had left over pizza and it was put in a 3 Styrofoam containers that I felt was excessive. Please just get some card board boxes.
Service was slow. Food was cold
I can’t say enough good things about Osteria32! From the service, to wine and food. Thank you for a great dining experience!
Very good food! Great atmosphere and service. Hostess was very attentive and concerned about our experience.
Top quality food and service! This place is a hidden gem within our community.
The food is always amazing and the service is great too.
Potentially a good place. However: questionable location, limited menu, uncomfortable seating, and a general lack of ambience cannot be off-set by excellent service ... with food that is good but not great. They can do better ... and, if they want to survive, they need to. Will try again ... hope for some improvement.
We always love our experience at Osteria 32! We're going back tonight to take our son!
We had the salmon special. It was unbelievably good. Artichokes and mushrooms came with the salmon. A very delicate sauce was also included. . We started with a Roman salad that included roasted vegetables that were quite nice. Pistachio gelato was the dessert. Oh My! It is better than the gelato that was available in Florence. Just a little chocolate is included with the nuts to make a perfect dessert. We are so fortunate to have this outstanding restaurant in Muncie.
Each time I go here I am astounded that we have a restaurant this good right here in Muncie. On Friday one of the specials was salmon with artichokes and mushrooms in a very delicate sauce. The appropriate word to describe this was superb. The salmon was light and delicate--perfect might be the appropriate word. This was better than many of the dishes I have had at Oceanaire in Indianapolis where the fish is flown in fresh every day. One of the dessert options was pistachio gelato so that was selected because it is so good and usually disappears very rapidly since it is so popular.
Excellent brunch experience. Of course the food was fabulous as per usual. Hostess was so kind when I asked for a quiet table. Gave us a very quiet one.
Love this place. Great value for brunch!
Service was very good and good was delicious. The tiramisu was just like grandma made it!
The food was unique, so we chose to share it "family style". Wonderful way to try their different concoctions! Our waiter, Ellis, was genuine, sharp & very attentive. I will ask for him again.
We came to Osteria for a working lunch. The delicious food facilitated a very successful work session. The refreshing Roman Salad with chicken was perfect particularly since it was accompanied by the warm bread with herbs. It is so nice to be able to zip over here without having to fight traffic on McGalliard.
I had the beef filet which was excellent. My wife at our last visit had the seafood risotto and it was excellent, but this time she tried butternut squash ravioli and it was terrible. The dough was tough and didn't look or taste good.
It would be nice if you had a liquor license so that we could start out with a martini or Manhattan before dinner
Found a new Italian fav. We kept talking about it the next day. All fresh! So flavorful ❤
The Caesar salad here is very good. The option of having it with salmon sounded inviting, and it was. The housemade gelato is a great treat. Pistachio was available and was worth the trip alone. It will make you think you are back in Italy. To have these options right here in Muncie is quite a treat.
The food was fantastic and the service was good. My wife and I loved the experience and will look forward to coming again. We were the only ones in the restaurant, so we hope that we can come back with a more lively crowd.
The evening's special was salmon piccata with delicious roasted vegetables. It was quite a treat. The fish was light and delicate and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were just right. We started the meal with their Ceasar Salad. The dressing did not have anchovies. However, ti was very light and delicate. It was a very nice offering for a summer evening. We shared tiramisu for dessert. It is so good that it should not be missed.
The food was delicious but a little cool when it got to us! The wine flights are so worth the cost! The cheese and meat Ray was fabulous! Will probably not come for dinner but more drinks and appetizers, just a little too costly! But the service was excellent! Could stand to fix the door and outside appearance though.
There are wonderful options here. The Roman Salad seems to be better each time it is ordered particularly if one likes artichokes. These are the best. The subtle balsamic dressing makes this quite a masterpiece. The Chicken Liguria was the perfect match for the Roman salad. It also had artichokes along with a variety of olives and vegetables. The presentation is very impressive. We shared a tiramisu for dessert. As usual, it was outstanding. We are fortunate to have such talented people right here.
The special last Saturday was salmon piccatta. The salmon was perfectly prepared. It was delicate and flaky and cooked to perfection. The pasta had just the right amount of capers and a very delicate sauce. The new chef is quite a genius. Of course, we shared indulgence at the end: a serving of cannoli and tiramisu both of which were quite wonderful.
We went to Osteria 32 to celebrate my dad's birthday. The building is unpretentious, but that shouldn't deter you from trying this little gem. Our party sat outside, which was nice on a beautiful evening, although a little loud when the train passed by on the nearby track. We began with the taglieri, which was a decent presentation of cured meats and cheeses. We enjoyed our dinner entrees even more. Amongst the four of us we tried the tagliatelle al ragu (delicious meat sauce over nice pasta), paglia e fieno (again, good pasta in a cream sauce which was lighter - and better - than typically served for this dish), and pollo alla liguria (tasty Mediterranean flavor). We especially enjoyed the lemon, blueberry, thyme gelato for dessert. Of special note is their nice wine list - in addition to the typicals (chardonnay, merlot, cabernet), there were some other nice varietals (montepulciano, chianti). Highly recommend a stop here for nice Italian in Muncie.
Lasagne was marvelous. I have always stood by the idea of not ordering a salad in the Midwest. You normally get mixed greens and maybe a tomato. My wife had the Roman with Salmon. It was a home run. I actually tried the Caesar and it was absolutely wonderful. I stand corrected.
Solid Italian fare. Exceptional service and a pleasant, quite atmosphere.
Good food and choices but a bit pricey. Ambience is mediocre. Good use of space considering building was former fast food building.
Great little neighborhood gem with lots of menu options. Their fresh-baked bread is terrific.
Recently returned from Italy but was not finished with eating Italian. This restaurant, both atmosphere and food, is as close to authenticate as I can get. This has definitely become one of our “go to” places.
Osteria 32 is an ideal place to celebrate a birthday so that is what we did. We started with the delicious Roman Salad which has the best artichokes in it. A very delicate balsamic dressing finishes it off nicely. We then shared a serving of Chicken Liguria which might most aptly be called manna from the gods. I just returned from Italy and did not have any dish that was better while there. We ended our meal with the Tiramisu. It is always fun to try the tiramisu since everyone appears to make it a little differently. This is among the best ever. How fortunate we are to have such a fine restaurant in Muncie.
I’ve been to Osteria32 twice now. Fantastic experience both times. Once with friends and one for our wedding anniversary. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Food is outstanding. Also a fan of Madison’s which is now St8 Street Bistro. Phenomenal food at both. I can’t believe Muncie scored such a wonderful place. I hope more people discover it and it gets the acclaim it deserves.
I just returned from two weeks in Italy so friends thought Osteria 32 would be an appropriate venue in which to discuss the trip. The quality of the food made it a deja vu experience. I thought I was back at the Waldorf Astoria Cavalieri Hotel in Rome. The food was comparable. We started with the wonderful Roman salad that had the best artichokes around. The salad was beautifully presented and had just the perfect amount of balsamic vinigarette dressing. It is subtle and wonderful. Then we had the ravioli with the squash and pumpkin filling. That is always delicious. Our main entrees were the Chicken Liguria and the Chicken Saltimbocca. They were both outstanding. The Liguria was a visual and gustatory delight with wonderful artichokes and a variety of olives. We splurged and tried the most wonderful gelato ever. It has chocolate and carmel in it and perhaps a few nuts. It is in a vanilla base. This is definitely worth the trip alone. We are so fortuante to have this wonderful restaurant in Muncie, and it is only five minutes from Ball state and the hospital.
Finding Osteria 32 was very worth while. We will return soon with others. Michaela, our server, was absolutely charming - very efficient and energetic. The food was very good and the warm bread with roasted garlic and olive oil was delicious.
Don't let the look of the building or the interior discourage you. The food is great and the service is usually good, too.
The food was delicious and the service outstanding. We have recommended it to several of our friends.
