Orange Elephant Chelsea serves up succulent steaks and seafood cooked to perfection on the Big Green Egg BBQ. Orange Elephant steaks use specially selected cuts of quality beef all sourced from British Farms. Alongside the signature steaks, we serve an amazing Steak Burger, gourmet truffle mac ‘n’ cheese and great Tomahawk Steak sharing platters as well as an extensive wine list and cocktail selection. Dishes are served in comfortable surrounds, with warm lighting creating a soft romantic ambience, and wood floors and copper table tops framing the theatre kitchen.

We met head chef Jai Parkinson when he worked at Wright Brothers, so we were excited to experience his new venture at Orange Elephant. We booked through Open Table for a Monday evening and so came a 50% off offer on sharing boards. We started with the burrata which was beautifully presented and came with some perfectly roasted cherry tomatoes on the vine. We also had the beef marrow croquettes - perfectly prepared with an intense beefy flavor. For a main, we shared the tomahawk board. The 1.2 kg portion was plenty for the two of us as it also comes with a small salad to share and a two small portions of french fries. A nice bottle of Malbec was the perfect accompaniment. The board was beautifully presented and the steak perfectly cooked to our "warm red" preference. We like a steak with some texture, so the tomahawk was a good choice. Nice chew, perfect sear and great flavor. Ricardo had taken excellent care of us all evening and made us a delicious coffee to finish up a really wonderful dining experience. Thank you Jai & Ricardo

We got a Groupon deal (3 meals and cocktails for two) and had a nice evening out. The place was busy and it was served by only 1 waiter. Later, a waitress joined him and even the bartender in order to keep up with the tables. Food was mediocre, and they served us toasts that were burnt black on the edges, also our rump steaks were burned at some places. The cocktails were definitely not proper cocktails: no matter what you ordered it was served in a tiny margarita glass. Staff was nice and friendly though and they tried their best to be as attentive as possible.

Small restaurant, nice decoration, open kitchen there are only a few options on the menu which usually indicates fresh ingredients and is always a good sign for me ! You can choose your steak from the blackboard based on weight / price the steak was nice (we did not get the tomahawk steak as the minimum size was 1.4kg - a bit too much for 2 people, we had fillet instead) I would definitely go back with a larger group and try the big steak !

We had the Open Table special offer set menu and felt it was excellent value for money. The steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection in their trademark BBQ ovens. Service was faultless and friendly and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Orange Elephant.

We had the burgers. The buns were slightly too charred and the patty was not very flavourful. The service was good, and helped us when needed. Otherwise, the restaurant decor and atmosphere was alright. It was very empty for a lunchtime, us being the only people in the restaurant. The open door was a good idea, but the sound of traffic from the road and people smoking right outside drifted into the restaurant, making it not as ideal.

good steaks and great chips but why (try to) give a prebooked party the worst table - right by the door and meet&greet?
