Horrible service. Say down by hostess. Our server first introduced himself to us 15 min after being seated. Servers are careless and never around.
Must have your whole party there to be seating. You won’t seat inside of the greenhouse/glass due to Covid. Food is AMAZING! So worth it. Parking is $11 valet for 2 hours and $5 each hour after that. No cash at the restaurant or valet.
The food here is amazing and the pre fixed menu is to die for.
Always a pleasure, Hailey and her team always delivers and most during this challenging times. And the food is fantastic
We enjoyed food, lox plate was huge and delish, great service
Loved every moment! Sebastian made it so fun and safe considering the pandemic is what everyone is so consumed with.
This is one of those places where it's "Instagrammable". Service was great. But the food wasn't, unfortunately. I was expecting more since every item on the menu was costly, but all I got were soggy scrambled eggs and bland chicken sausage. The mocktail was good, however. If you're looking to try this place out, then try it just once. Get that Instagram picture. Other than that, there's nothing special about it.
Our experience was great. Servers were wearing masks and face shields, and everyone was kept distanced. It was sad to see that the greenhouse had to be closed, but it was still beautiful outside. Food was brilliant as usual. We were there for brunch!
Food and service is good.
The food was really amazing and beautifully prepared. The steak special was perfectly prepared. The butterball potatoes were crisp and nicely flavored
The service on the other hand was poor. We were waiting up to 20 minutes between courses and no one was within earshot during this time. Our server missed two of the items we ordered.
At a restaurant of this level, I really expect the service to match the quality of the food. Unfortunate, at openaire the service fell short. I would come back for the food only if they do a better job with their service
They did a fabulous job with the COVID precautions and the food came out super quick! Everything was delicious and I can't wait to come back!
The ambience was it for me! Came for date night on a cold night but it was still accommodating because of the heaters. Alot of the gas tanks had gone out but we finished just in time haha! And the service was top notch. Our waitress was super awesome and knowledgeable.. forgot her name but..Can’t wait to come back to try their brunch !
We had a reservation at 1:30. Didn’t get sat until a little after 2; we waited about 10+ minutes for someone to greet us. We ordered our food and drinks and we waited for about 30mins to get our food and we still didn’t even get our drinks yet. We finally got our bottomless beverages with 1.5hr limit and then they were trying to cut us off short because they were done with their shift. Overall would not come back
The food was delicious and the service was great in terms of how quickly things were brought out and quality. I think our waiter could have been a little more attentive but he was good nonetheless. The only thing was it was a windy and cold day and they had 3 heaters that didn't work which meant only a few table had heaters. Other than that, we have a great experience the food was amazing and I would go back again!
Went on a weekend during the first week of November and it was moderately cold to very cold by the time we left so come prepared! The heaters were nice but between the bit of wind and "Openaire," we really didn't feel it much. That aside, the bottomless bloody's were awesome and the steak and eggs were both really good! I would definitely go back!
Very nice scenery and wonderful food. I would highly recommend.
French toast and chilaquiles were excellent
We were on-time for our 4party reservation at 10pm
We came 10 mins early. The host told us he will sit us at “exactly” 10. No problem.
We came back at 10 and he (host) doesn’t once acknowledge us. Simply is running all over the place. Speaking to every person waiting but us. I finally ask when will we be sitting and he just tells me they’re “cleaning a table off” “5 mins” 5 mins later they sit another group down before us. It’s 10:20, and He still does not acknowledge us one time or update us. Finally I think the manager offers us to sit a cocktail table for some drinks while they get our table ready. We sat at the table order one round and then we left.
I understand people get busy, I been a waiter in a college, but communication with your guest will go a long ways, and make us feel more assured that we are being attended to.Ignoring us is what made us leave.
Other than that, the waitress and manager were great.
EXTREMLY UNSATISFIED SLOWEST SERVICE I EVER SEEN SO CONFUSEFD THE STYAFF WERE THAT NIGHT
I've been tailoring my reviews based on the new Pandemic standards for restaurants. The outdoor dining ambience was pretty good. Service was just average.
But the main reason one goes out to a restaurant is the food. Drinks & salad was very good. My wife's Salmon, excellent. Moist, tender, & flavorful. My Duck Tagliatelle, not as good. Would prefer the pasta be a little more Al Dente & the duck not so shredded.
But the major disappointment was the Passion fruit Crepe. Look forward to it & very little
hint of Passion fruit taste at all. Worse the crepe was starchy & unflavorful. Ranks among the most disappointing desserts I have ever had. The coffee was good.
Got together for a friend’s birthday and we thought that the greenhouse would be open even during quarantine because it looked like the roofs were open on Yelp, but we still had a great time outside of the greenhouse! Food was amazing!
Crab benedicts to die for! Lovely restaurant, definitely picture worthy! Regardless of service being a little slow, I would come back.
Everything was good but both of our steaks came out cold
Wouldn’t have many things on the menu and suuuuper slow service.
Reserved a table for two outside to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary - our first night out in 8 months. They practiced distancing with the tables. The servers wore masks and shields. The food was delicious. The ambiance was relaxed. Exactly what we were looking for. By the end of the meal I had forgotten the state of the world and tried to pay for the meal in cash only to be reminded that they were only taking cards due to COVID. Woops! Great experience all around!
The food was not good. Most of the items tasted like black licorice and left an awful after taste The presentation was pretty but the taste was not appetizing. I should have gone to Taco King.
The carrots. The carrots are a must. The ambiance here is beautiful, string lights, plants galore. I am blessed to live in the neighborhood and whenever anyone comes to town I take them straight to Openaire.
First time eating at OpenAire. The menu was not as extensive or creative as you'd expect from a Michelin-star chef, but the waiter's recommendation to try the new Huevos Rancheros was spot-on -- the ingredients and taste was reminiscent of Mexico City cuisine. The staff moved us from a noisy area (Sunday brunch with loud background music) to a quieter area. The wait staff is among the best I've experienced in Los Angeles. I do plan to come back during the pandemic but regret it's not open for lunch except for brunch on weekends.
Great food , great service- everything was efficient and went off without a hitch which is particularly impressive considering the times we are in!
Will definitely be back! Thanks
This place is incredible. The atmosphere, food, and everything was perfect!
Service and food were outstanding.
The view and setting is not that nice but understandable because of COVID.
You must order the salmon.
Brunch menu is a bit limited but the food is good. Ambience is golden.
Much smaller venue than expected. HOWEVER, you are automatically greeted with such positive energy. You literally meet almost all of their staff from the hostess to the waiter to the manager to the chef. Being my first time eating here AND my first time eating since the COVID shutdown, Openaire made the atmosphere very comfortable, safe, and fun to enjoy brunch with friends. Not only that, but they have THEE BEST Egg Benedicts plate I’ve ever had in my life. So mouthwatering with flavor: the crab meat was immaculate, the Hollandaise sauce was spectacular, and the potatoes was crisp to perfection. Now, i don’t know if it’s the 10 months of not having a mimosa, but Openaire’s mimosas had a perfect juice to champagne ratio. If i were Rich, I’d come here everyday for brunch.
Worst food. Worst service. Dirty.
Excellent and kind service. Best specials I ever haved.
Took about 40 min to get drinks. Has to remind about 4 different people. Finally got them after second course arrived
Good experience, especially for COVID times. Nice open area without hearing noise from the street. Would just work on the pricey valet, discourages us coming back.
I love it here !!!! 10/10 recommend .
