Okura Robata Grill and Sushi Bar - La Quinta
As you enter the doors of Okura, you will be awed by the modern and elegant Asian decor. Please join us at La Quinta or Palm Springs for a truly unique dining experience! Happy Hour starts from 4:30pm to 6:30 pm.
We had a reservation at 7:30 for 8. We were not seated until 8:05 so that’s a bummer we had to wait. Apparently the kitchen was backed up on orders so we waited awhile for our sushi too. Our server was outstanding. Johnny. He was on top of our drinks and appetizers and made sure we felt comfortable and taken care of.
Very good food and great service. Nice flavours and presentation.
The wine list is limited and overpriced. The Vuzu sauce is amazing, ask for it separately. The food is tasty. The reason why I was not generous with the stars stems from my experiences at five star restaurants.
The food was outstanding, the service spot on perfect and it was nice to be able to tell the owner before we left we had a wonderful experience. We will return!
All 3 of us had the Chilean Seabass ,which was excellent as usual....The service was slow and took a very long time for our dinner...
I have to say that the Soft shell crab was superb!
Great food and the fish was so fresh. We had a wonderful meal.
It's my favorite place to eat. Owners are great, Hiroku is awesome! Food and quality is GREAT! Prices tend to continue to rise over the last 2 years but the food is good so we've continued to go.
We absolutely love this restaurant. As far as we’re concerned, it is the best sushi in the desert.
They were able to seat us early. Dinner was fantastic
Really, really great! We have eaten at a few other sushi restaurants in the desert and before visiting this one we were about to give up on them entirely! The others had either crappy service, poor management, huge gaps in their menu, dirty dishes (and in one case all 4!). So I am well pleased that I can say there IS an excellent sushi restaurant in the valley!
Jose was our server and he was very helpful and amazing. Food is always fresh and fast.
Best sushi in the valley! Wonderful service.
Even with a reservation we had to wait 20 mins to be seated. Service is quick. Sushi quality is average.
Very busy! Was told they book multiple parties at each time slot so it may be a while longer than normal, wasn't expecting that! I think the prices may be a touch expensive, but the happy hour menu is great.
Really enjoy dining at Okura. Friendly staff and delicious dishes. The manager Haruko always makes us feel very welcome and appreciated 😊
Excellent sushi! Great service!!
Great food, had a great evening. Best Sushi in town a must stop if your from out of town or a local.
Not all it was hyped up to be. Service was extremely slow. Food took a very long time to arrive. Carpaccio was cut way to thick. Most likely wont return.
Tasty sushi and sashimi. Nice ambiance. The wine list is limited and pricey. Otherwise, I enjoyed the experience.
My friends & I had the All You Can Eat for dinner tonight. It was AMAZING! I think it’s some of the freshest and best sushi i’ve ever had in my life. Pretty good price for all the stuff that you can order off of the menu. The restaurant has a very cool vibe to it as well. When you’re first seated, the hostess says “Namaste” and every worker says it back when you enter the dining room. They made us feel very welcomed. Although, I didn’t see a server for about 15 minutes, so the manager came over and took our order twice. We did end up seeing our server and he did apologize for showing up to our table later than expected. It seems as if he had too much on his plate. Everything was fabulous besides the service. If the server didn’t have that many tables, i’m sure our service would’ve been better. Highly recommend though!
The rolls were the best ever along with the potstickers. Great neighborhood dining!
Food is great but seemed overpriced ...
Far far the best in the desert for great food and service.
Great food and very competent service. Experience level just above average but food makes up the difference.
Food and service was excellent! Can be a bit pricey for dinner!
Very loud table of six next to us. Carnig actually asked them to tone it down...to no avail🤨
But...John is a great waiter, the food was as always excellent! Back soon😊🍣
Great food and service. I recommend this place ALL THE TIME.
Best sushi in the desert!
The ambiance is lacking. More of a sports bar feel. Seaweed salad was drowning in “sauce”, had to send it back. Took 35 minutes for our sushi to come out, which was all covered in sweet slimy sauce. Would not recommend or return.
I made a reservation for a birthday, which was apparently ignored as I saw other tables receiving birthday desserts and we were just handed a dessert menu with mo acknowledgment of a birthday. I was disappointed to see that the restaurant has taken out the beautiful bar to make room for a larger sushi section. Last time I was at Okura it was an elegant, upscale dining experience. Now it was noisy and people were in jeans, etc. the service was only adequate. The waitress was bringing our drinks and began to serve us when someone at the next table caught her, interrupting her service to us. Rather than asking that person to wait, she proceeded to talk to him while holding our drinks on the tray. I tried to get her attention at which point she kept on talking to the other table and plopped our drinks on the table, not even serving the right drink to the right person. I told her I thought this was very rude. The food, however, was delicious and I would come here again for casual dining because of the food, but the ambiance was not what I expected and would not recommend Okura for a special occasion or an upscale dining experience.
One of my favorite places.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely. We came for New Years Eve. It was a bit busy, but to be expected. We had the all you can eat and that ended up taking a bit of time. However, the food was great and it was a wonderful New Years
Our server Hiroko was amazing! Attentive staff and great food. One of my favorite restaurants in the Desert!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The fish is fresh and delicious. The soft shell crab and curried scallops are off the charts. Cocktails are inventive and very good. The service is excellent, friendly and very accommodating. Simply the best!
We have loved Okura ever since it used to be in Palm Springs. It’s our special night out place. The food is always amazing. The service was a little slower than usual this last visit but that was completely expected because it was SO BUSY!!!! All in all, it’s an amazing place! A must visit for everyone to try.
Great service and quality of food. On the slightly pricier side but we knew that. Nice atmosphere. We really enjoyed it.
Mixed quality on fish. Our order was not delivered as requested so we waited a while for sashimi.
We love Okura Robata Grill...every time we come to the restaurant we have an
excellent experience. The food is great, service very good and ambience very good.
Our server, Richard, was excellent and recommended some good dishes. Very nice
