Always great food and excellent staff. My favorite lace to eat!
Great addition to our desert community. I will be returning often. Best Yellowtail sashimi I’ve ever had. Rolls are fantastic and larger than any other place I’ve been to. Top rate service tops it all off.
The food was soooo good! Our waitstaff were courteous and attentive, however, our food took a bit longer than expected to be served. They were PACKED so it is understandable to some extent, but it did seem longer than it should have been. I would definitely go again, but make sure I don't have anything planned afterwards, to allow plenty of time.
We are long time patrons of Okura. Their new location is large and beautiful but extremely noisy. Very difficult to have a conversation. The tables are small and nit enough room for your glasses & plates.
Dining room is noisy
Love this place! Such a great ambiance. Love coming here for dinner and drinks.
Had a great meal. Love the new place.
Perhaps one of the finest Sushi Restaurants around. Fish was fresh, portions were ample and the variety very unique and different than other places. A little bit on the pricey side but with the ambiance and excellent service well worth the visit and will definitely go back.
I ordered the Miso Salmon, which was melt-in-your-mouth tender and juicy. The service was very gracious, cocktails delicious. My only discomfort was the noise level, very noisy, and hard to hear your dinner companion right across the table.
This is one of our favorite restaurants! Okura recently moved to a new location(only moved about 500 ft. just to a larger building) and its beautful! The food as always is excellent! We love sitting near the sushi bar, watching the Sushi Masters at work! Looking forward to our next visit!!!
Everything was great except they rip u off for drink
Fantastic food. The new location is gorgeous. We ordered off the happy hour menu in the bar & the sushi was excellent as always.
Best sushi in the desert!!
Great this place was very nice
Beautiful setting in newly decorated restaurant but could barely hear each other talk because of the high noise level. Amazing selection of food but pretty expensive. My husband said his Sushi was not cold. Would not go again.
We have asked 3 times to get the waiter we love ahead of time, but each time they put us in a different part of the restaurant.
We were put in a back room which felt like we were being Disciplined because we had 8 people. Not a very comfortable area, especially because I made reservations 2 weeks ago.
The manager worked with us to find the right table. Okura is so popular that it is filled most evenings, and with that the noise level can be very high.
Greatest sushi in the valley. We go twice a month and its always great. The Serrano Hamachi Carpaccio is unbelievable. Its a must order.
Our first time at the new location & the food was good as usual. However, the service was much slower and our server failed to put in our roll orders to come out first so all the food came at once. Apparently, we are supposed to tell the server we want rolls first, but this isn’t the way it has ever been previously. New space is very nice, also super noisy.
Another wonderful dinner! The restaurant is gorgeous and the service is great. Really fantastic salmon sushi and sashimi. Love the Marilyn Monroe and Madonna rolls. Everything is always fabulous.
Was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t more attention to detail in both the presentation and service. We waited over an hour for our food and this was our first visit to the new location.
I WAS ACCOMPANYING MY FRIEND...I AM NOT A SUSHI LOVER BUT I ORDERED FILET MIGNON ON A SKEWER BUT WAS DISAPPOINTED THERE WAS NOT A VEGETABLE ON THE PLATE..THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE WAS TEMPURA (full size) at $13.95...THE NOISE LEVEL WAS UNBELIEVABLY LOUD AND WE HAD TO SHOUT TO BE HEARD...LAST TIME FOR ME!
Wonderful as always! Excellent food, service, decor. Our favorites are the Hamachi Carpaccio, the Marilyn Monroe roll, the Madonna roll and the salmon sashimi. Wonderful experience.
The sushi was very good. Nice ambiance. Service was pretty good.
Very accommodating to our Gluten Free needs.
The new venue is attractive, but I got very bad indigestion that lasted for over 24 hours from something I ate
It’s very loud inside
Slendidservice, beautiful space, delicious food but incredibly noisy.
From the moment we entered, the staff was stupendous. Our reservation was 5.45 and seated within 5 minutes. I have ranked the food 5 star, if they had 10 stars I would give them 10. We had a party of 4 and another local couple said Okura was their new favorite restaurant. Congratulations Okura you have just hit a homerun with your new restaurant!
We had small children who ate everything! Fast efficient service and the new building is beau!
I enjoyed my first dinner at their new location. Always love Okura.
Beautiful ambiance... great food. Look forward tp our next visit
We love having sushi here, our favorite place! I did let them know on Open Table that it was my hubby’s birthday but they forgot. Oh well, it’s still our favorite sushi in the valley.
James was a wonderful server.
Food is always delicious.
The decorations and atmosphere were great. It was super crowded and noisy because it was new. Acoustic panels should be installed to absorb the sound.
The tables are too close together. We felt really cramped.
Service was very slow and items ordered were forgotten.
Also, wait staff needs to be familiar with the ingredients for allergy reasons. I have an MSG allergy and wasn’t told my Chilean Sea Bass had MSG in it and was up all night itching with a rash.
There are some kinks to work out with this new restaurant.
The potential is definitely there.
We came as a family. The most popular beer was out of stock! So we couldn’t have that. The waitress was immediately annoyed with us because we asked to move away our extra chair. My mother who is gluten free couldn’t eat a single thing because the ONE GF option was discontinued!!! The chef was able to do something to accommodate my mother. But that’s unacceptable to discontinue the One true Gf option!!! The food was delicious, and atmosphere! Just shocked about being in California and not having a gf option!
New location is great
Won’t be back - new location is all about rules and policy. Won’t seat you if you arrive 5 minutes early. Don’t bring children unless you must put them in a high chair. No kids allowed to sit on the benches Inside. Apparent they can reach the rock features above that also have electrical risks. Just another new policy to abide by. Strange atmosphere when you are paying top dollar for good food and nice atmosphere.
