   Food was good but not amazing. The price wasn’t terrible considering they practically have you captive if you are staying at the resort. The cocktails were tasty and very reasonably priced, even though the price on the bill was different than the price on the menu. Our waitress was great but the rest of the staff spent more time chatting with each other than serving guests or clearing tables.

   The trout was so over cooked we couldn’t eat it. Asked for a manager, but no one ever came. They didn’t charge us, but we left hungry.

   Great dinner. Great service. Excellent tiramisu. My lunch the day before was tasty, but kitchen was very slow and I got the wrong food. But still yummy!

   Great menu, great service but they just need to dim the lights and add candies at tables. With these two small adjustments it would be so much more inviting. Owners need to take notes from love apple in taos regarding ambiance. Just a few tweaks makes all the difference. Important and necessary tweaks for a restaurant at ojo where everything else is chill and tranquil.

    The Artesian Restaurant is warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and professional. The food is excellent. My husband, friend, and I had breakfast and dinner during our stay at Ojo Caliente. The 3 large blue corn pinon pancakes were tasty as were the huevos rancheros. Coffee was refilled frequently. At dinner, we shared an order of Prince Edward Island Mussels in a chorizo cream sauce accompanied by pesto toast. It was sublime. My friend and I had the Filet Mignon, cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful with a mushroom demi-glace. I opted for the fingerling potatoes while she ordered the garlic mashed potatoes. Both were great as was the accompanying broccoli rabe. My husband ordered the New York Strip that was also fantastic. The bottle of wine we shared was a wonderful accompaniment to the meal. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. It isn't just a meal; it's an experience.

    My wife ordered rainbow trout and she received salmon. The next evening we both ordered the trout and received salmon. We complained. They assured it was trout. 😳

    Good food and enjoyable overall. However the wine list prices have changed significantly since our last visit. $80 for a supermarket wine, $100 for some decent and $166 for a good bottle of wine is excessive even for fine dining. Most restaurants in this range charge 2x over retail. Charging 4x seems excessive and took away from an otherwise enjoyable meal.

    Overall good experience, tasty food and attentive service. But...if anybody from Ojo is reading this review, guys, this is not out first visit- you can not serve red wine such as Pinot Noir or ever Nergoamaro warm. Put some bottles in the wine cooler. I hope I would have red wine served at proper temperature next visit.

    We had the NM Reisling wine with the ceviche; so so good. My husband had the salmon which was amazing & I had the Trout; good flavor but a little dry which was disappointing. Our waitress was super friendly & very attentive!! Highly recommend the salmon!!

    The food is surprisingly good here, given that it is such a remote spot! We had dinner in the dining room and enjoyed steaks and short ribs. All tasty and well prepared. One item of particular favor with our group was the mussels appetizer in a spicy creamy chorizo sauce! Creative and delicious….we can’t wait to go back.

    The restaurant offers great food, on-site, and we had wonderful breakfast and dinner there. Make sure to have a cocktail in your room before you go, as the bar only offers beer and wine.

    The food and service were excellent. We lived the healthy options and knowing the food was sourced as locally as possible. On our last day, we went for breakfast and it was quite cold, as staff had turned off the heat the previous evening. That was the most negative part of the experience.
