Ognisko restaurant on Exhibition Road in the heart of South Kensington, is just a stone’s throw away from the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Royal Albert Hall and London Imperial College. Housed in the beautiful Victorian home of Ognisko Polskie club the restaurant is focusing on the cuisines eastern and Central Europe. The bar is open all day serving light dishes as well as mouthwatering desserts. Ognisko’s bar serves a wide range of fruit and spice -infused vodkas, classic cocktails and a small range boutique beers from regional Polish breweries. The restaurant can sit up to 80 guests together with a terrace overlooking communal gardens seating up to 40. There is also a large events space on the first floor available for daytime conferences, weddings and corporate events.

    Excellent Polish food with modern twist and attentive service. A piece of Polish history, kept alive and in great shape. An oasis of tranquility in the hustle and bustle of South Kensington. Well recommended.

    Ognisko is a classic gem. I have been coming here since the 1990s and the quality of service and food has remained consistently high. Everyone is super polite and efficient. The portions are very generous. It’s a romantic restaurant with low key lighting and an outdoor terrace.

    Staff were very helpful in getting us the table we wanted. Everything was wonderful. Not easy to pick a stand-out dish, but probably worthwhile mentioning the pelmeni as not sure others would consider trying it.

    Staff were very helpful and welcoming. As attending late night Prom was offered the Prom menu - reasonable choice and good value for money. What considerably reduced our pleasure was the exceptional high noise level - great the restaurant was busy but it was extremely difficult to have a conversation.

    Excellent environment, warm welcome and we were extremely well looked after. The food was delicious as were the homemade vodka shots

    The most incredibly charming and helpful service and a varied and imaginative menu in one of the most impressive venues in London makes this my first choice whenever I have to eat in South Kensington

    The rear terrace is a quiet attractive haven for diners wishing for a more intimate experience.The table staff are hard working efficient and wonderfully polite. It's also a great place to get a pre-Prom set dinner of 2 or 3 courses.
