   Overall, this was the worst meal I have ever had. The appetizer and salad were good but the main course was basically inedible. It’s amazing how they could destroy a dish I’ve had many times——chicken Marsala it was horrific. The princess sauce and pasta were horrible as well. The sauce had no body to stick to the pasta and was tasteless. The server was very good but I’d never go back there. Very very disappointing. And my two dining companions totally agreed with this review

   Never have I been to a restaurant where twice in a 10 minute span did I see 2 cockroaches. When I told the manager, he asked if I wanted to move my Table. I wanted to get the hell out!!!! 2 cockroaches and $150 later I was still made to pay

    The staff and ambience are the draw here. The salads and creamy pesto dish were great. The meatballs lacked seasoning and spaghetti wasn’t drained enough before making the plate. Definitely a place we’d go back to!

    Overall just ok I remember the food as being outstanding but this time I can’t say the same . The dinner salad was a bowl of romaine lettuce - nothing else , not a carrot, cucumber or tomato in sight . I just couldn’t get past that . At least put something on it .

    We enjoyed a lovely dinner outside in the alley way. It was so cute and made me feel like I was not in Tampa anymore. My pistachio chicken and linguine alfredo was delicious. I would get that again.

    We sat outside in the alley which super cute and romantic! We really wanted to love the food and we probably would have enjoyed it more if the service was better. Our server seemed very off but everyone has a bad day but when she came to our table 10 minutes after our main was served asking if we wanted cheese or pepper and then again 2 more times after we knew something wasn’t right. Would we try it again, maybe but wouldn’t be out first choice.

    I’ve learned to value cooking at home over going out to save money and to invest in quality restaurants when we go out. I 100% will choose to invest in Oggi again.

    My husband and I went to Oggi’s for our weekly date night. Wr had a wonderful time. We enjoyed a carafe of Chianti which was lovely. We got the mozzarella wheel for an appetizer and were a little disappointed with it. Its description said it came with olives, but there were no olives with ours, plus the balsamic glaze was overwhelming. We couldn’t taste the mozzarella as much as we wished. We wished we had ordered the Burrata instead. Our entrees were wonderful though. My husband had the lasagna, which was huge and very delicious. I had the chicken parm, also a very big portion, and delicious. Wr had enough leftovers to bring home for the next night’s dinner. We received very attentive service and enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant very much. We are only here for the winter, but we will definitely return to Oggi’s if we return to this area.

    We were very disappointed in this food. It was not very good Italian food. It was a Sunday night and they were out of a lot of choices. They said because it was the end of the week?? We asked for penne with a bit of spice. It came out with about 6 hot peppers and you couldn’t eat it because it was so spicy. Very very disappointed because I researched it and read all reviews and had to make a reservation.

    Food was served luke warm, but tasty. Place was busy, service was so so at best. I would try it again, but hope for a better overall experience. Perhaps a weeknight would be better.

    We have been here many times and last night missed the mark by a mile. The food was cold and the staff was clearly overwhelmed. Our waitress was very kind but this did not make up for the marginal meal. It will be a while before we come back to this place after last night.

    I have been going to Oggi for years. It takes a lot to run me off. I understand off nights and bumps in service or food quality. We had the absolute worst service of any restaurant I can recall. The food quality has degraded and the consistency is also a crap shoot. The owner is a great friendly guy unfortunately his restaurant is in shambles. It will be a long time until I am ready to try it again.

    This was our first time at Oggi Italian, but it will not be our last. The food was amazing. The only complaint was with the Caramelized pineapple. We felt the dish was small for the pricing. But the taste was amazing.

    I had a good experience here years ago, but my latest visit (at 9 on a Friday night) lasted just 20 (easily kept track bc we had a reservation!) minutes because a server never came to our table. Seriously, we sat outside—on a rare chilly night in Tampa—at the last table of the alleyway, near the street, without a single server stopping by to even say, “Hi! Will be with ya in a sec!”…We drove all the way down from Zephyrhills for the meal and were gutted by the lack of service. May have been a fluke, and that’s why I’m not going below 3 stars for any of these review categories, but it was disappointing and I’m not sure we’ll make the drive to give OGGI another shot in the future unless we move back to Tampa.

    I wrote on my reservation this was a birthday occasion. When I came in I asked if they do anything for birthdays- the man said “a cannoli” it was never acknowledged or brought up again. I had tried calling the restaurant several times to ask about birthday occasions, no answer, I didn’t know if I should bring a cake, I opted not to. Our server was less than enthusiastic, a kid basically and the food was ok. When you order a bottle of wine, there’s just certain things the waiter should do. He almost opened a white. Just little knowledge about wine in general. It wasn’t busy, yet all booked up. Didn’t feel very welcoming for such a small business.

    They were out of Peroni beer and the Tuscan wine. Food was just okay. Meatballs were medicore at best and the chicken marsala was served with no mushrooms and rather than putting the zoodles with pesto separate, it was served with the marsala so there wasn't any true marsala sauce. The waitress was very sweet but clearly short handed. She did provide mushrooms which were good but not served with the chicken so not as good as it should have been. The pistachio chicken was pretty good but again, immersed on the pesto sauce with the zoodles so if there was a sauce, it wasn't apparent.

    Some of the worst food ever served to me. Extremely over cooked octopus. Famous bruschetta was chewy cold bread with pretty decent tomato preparation. Chicken fettuccine was flavor free except for water, flour and oil.

    We have visited this restaurant many times before and had fantastic food and service. We decided to once again visit with family in town. Unfortunately, we had a fairly negative experience. They were "out" of quite a few things we tried to order (Burrata, Lasagna, Salmon). While this was an issue that was fairly easy to deal with by placing an alternate order, the service was a more significant problem. It felt like as if we were forgotten throughout the evening. We had to send one of our guests in to get water refills and we were ready to drink more wine, however, nobody really came out to ask if we wanted more. What we ordered and ate was certainly OK.

    The burrata was excellent and so was the salad. Eggplant Parm was good but I wasn’t high on the red sauce. Veggies might have been a better choice for me.
