   Octopus Peru is a gem. It is a small restaurant with a welcoming ambience. The food is equally fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. Our service was awesome, attentive, quick, charming, ... . We were also treated to wonderful tunes by local musician singing and playing guitar, probably not guaranteed for your visit. This was our first visit. We will come back to the Octopus and the mermaids on the walls very soon.

   I'm Peruvian and my wife is from Honduras, we do like to look for new locations to eat and especially if it is a restaurant form one of our countries. But , I got to say, this restaurant by far is the worst Peruvian restaurant that we have visit on the last 20years. When we arrived our table cover was dirty, so we mentioned it to the waiter ( who was either lost or confused or hos first day), so he apologized and all he did was turned the cover over ????. then we order Pisco which they were ok, I had much better . Then the food...an oh man, oh man, nothing from what we ordered was a peruvian meal/food. Like I mentioned before, I am from Peru, we ordered the most traditional plate, Lomo Saltado, and if you google it at least you will see at least what it comes with. What we got was meat with a bunch of soyce sauce, green and orange peppers , mini yellow grilled potatoes , and probably a spoon of white rice that had no salt. I have been in a few infusion places where you play with the ingredients but you keep the same taste at least. This one was mixed of beef mongolia and grilled peppers for fajitas. Needles to say. We will never come back, and I'll make sure that any friends or family don't make a mistake on stopping here as well.

   The food was pretty tasty, but had trouble getting drinks on Valentine’s Day. We had to grab our server’s attention and ask repeatedly for drink refills and decided to leave after feeling like they completely forgot about us.

   Not very authentic Peruvian food! The lomo saltado came with bell peppers , sweet potatoes and roasted potatoes instead fries…

   Made reservations prior to Valentines, either it was lack of service or something but it took 54 minutes to finally get served our entree. I think they added extra tables because of Valentines that it was very tight and seemed over crowded. We didn’t know who our waitress/ waiter was because 3 different people came to our table. For an upscaled restaurant it was not upscaled, their prices were too high for the quality of the food. I had high hopes for this restaurant. I ordered the oysters, I thought they would Atleast add seasoning, lemon or something, it was very fishy. We had empanadas, that was more tasty but we wish it came with something to dip it was very plain. I had octopus, it was sadly overcooked. Very chewy, it was also missing seasoning, the sweet potato purée was too light. Out of everything we had the only dish we enjoyed was the dessert, which is the the tres leches, it was so good! But it was supposed to have a strawberry and berry compote, and it was more of a dollop, and no taste of strawberry. I really wish I didn’t have to write a negative review. For the price, I feel like I was ripped off, they also raised the prices for valentines, different things were an extra $2 from the menu given based off our check. The way they took our plates off our table it was like they were in such a rush that it was chaotic. Our waitress never came to check on us, we had to wave someone down. They forgot about our order twice, and 2 different people came to our table asking if we needed anything. I was overwhelmed and overstimulated. We will not be coming back

   We had an amazing dinner! The fish was incredibly fresh, and the flavors were outstanding. The owner personally checked in to ensure everything was perfect, which added such a thoughtful touch to our experience. The ambiance was fantastic, making it the perfect spot for a great evening.

   We had a wonderful dinner for a large group. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the owner spoke to us for awhile, and the prices were reasonable.

   We tried Octopus Peru for Dine Downtown Sacramento and we were very impressed with the friendly and fast service and the amazing food!

   The food was excellent! I took my wife and some friends here for her birthday and could not have asked for a better experience. The service, the drinks and definitely the food were all top notch. I look forward to coming back and introducing it to other friends.

    Everything was beautifully prepared. My husband is a huge fan of raw fish but I am not even ceviche preparation. Hoping they add more grilled choices or at least one vegetarian tostada.. That being said the scallops which were cooked, were perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth delicious. My husband enjoyed with gusto the two different tostados he ordered. The tortillas are the best we’ve ever had and we make our own at home. I am in love with the plantain chips and Tigre de leche. Lovely restaurant delicious food. Wish they weren’t downtown.
