We had a terrific server and the ambience was quiet, yet social. We will definitely return.
Very good service, food was good, ambience was relaxing.
This restaurant is trying too hard to be a high end restaurant. The food is not worth how much you pay. My first time was a better experience but the second was very bad. You pay $50 for a piece of meat on a plate with nothing else. They do not know how to make risotto. It tastes like water boiled with some green peas. That’s not even doing it justice. It tasted disgusting. The crab cakes are tiny, too but not bad. But I would rather get crab cakes elsewhere.
🙈 Mother’s Day over booking. Reservation didn’t do much.
I had booked a reservation at 6:30 on Mother’s Day for my mother and I. The place was absolutely packed. I kinda felt like we were on top of each other when we first entered. When we first arrived I was pretty annoyed I had a reservation at 6:30 and we didn’t get seated until 7:30-7:45ish. I thought after the initial wait everything would go smoothly but I was wrong. Once we sat down and ordered our food it took another hour and a half for our food to come, which was even more annoying. Don’t get me wrong the food was absolutely amazing but I feel like the wait to even get and enjoy the food overshadowed how delicious the food was once we had gotten it. It was my first time at the restaurant so I don’t know if that was a regular occurrence or if it was just because it was Mother’s Day. The food was great, but I don’t know if I’ll ever come back.
Horrible they ran out of food including bread for the table. Even with a reservation the wait was over an hour. Dinner was over an hour after giving the order to the waitress.
I have a 5 because the food was good the setting was awesome and the waiter was down to earth and attentive. The food took long but that’s what you get for going out on Mother’s Day, but we had a seating of 12 people in a nice closed area so our family had so much fun and it was nothing but laughter and stories told. They also was patient seating us because everyone for our section did not arrive yet. They didn’t cancel us which was a blessing. The only thing is that it’s very expensive but you are downtown Baltimore so you get what you pay for. Bottle wine 50🤗 but a lil pricey on the food. Fried lobster is the best
Restaurant was overbooked for Mother's Day dinner!...waited for over 2 hours for entrees to come out, then when meals were finally received, food was BARELY warm! The barely warm food was tasty though (reason for 2 stars)....Unfortunately we will not be returning again, and we all love seafood.
I had the misfortune to attend on Mother’s Day, limited wait staff, kitchen was overwhelmed and expensive menu. Floor Manager spent his time apologizing rather than seeking solutions. I waited 20 minutes post reservation time and the meal took an additional 1 1/2 hours
I know Mother's Day is the busiest day of the year but place was not organized. Seemed they might have overbooked. All the seafood was rubbery and seafood is their specialty. Took over an hour to get our food and we had to eat fast to make in time for our flight.
I will return outside of a holiday. Mother's Day made things a little hectic.
The restaurant decor and ambiance have declined significantly since the last time I visited. It definitely wasn’t a 4 or 5 star restaurant. There was a line at the door, staff were stretched thin trying to serve, the food was fine, but it definitely wasn’t a fine dining experience. I traveled from DC to this location remembering how great it was. Sorely disappointed-it was more in line with Mo’s down the street. I would have gone to the Four Seasons or another restaurant in Fells Point had I known better.
I booked a 1:15 reservation for Mother’s Day for 8 people. We were seated at 1:30. By 2, we still didn’t have drinks on the table. Food was served at about 2:50. Our drinks sat empty most of the time even with refill requests. Drink orders were also brought in error amd we waited another 15 minutes to have drink order corrected. The food is average tasting. Our bill total with drinks was about $600. I enjoy fine dining in many restaurants. This does not fit the name of fine dining and is not worth the money. I felt like a sucker for a restaurant looking for a cash grab while delivering sub par service. I realize Mother’s Day is an extremely busy period but a respectable and good restaurant will also provide quality service and not ruin the day with delays and errors. Adequate staffing over lining your pockets with easy cash is how you maintain customers and good ratings. Look for another restaurant in the area rather than this one. Note to management - please do not contact me or respond with an attempt to make right. I do not wish to eat here even for free. :/ Life is too short.
We enjoyed our waitress and her VS skills. Because food was late it soured other aspects
Slow to be seated with a reservation, slow to be waited on, slow to receive entrees. It was Mother's Day so we understood why.
Meal took over 3 and 1/2 hours. It took almost an hour to get our drinks once we placed order for drinks. We ordered 3 appetizers for the table. The first appetizer arrived 30 minutes after they were ordered and the second appetizer came 10 minutes later and the third one came 5 minutes after that. The entrees took forever to arrive. The food was excellent. Once everyone was finished their entree, it was at least 15-20 minutes before the plates were picked up and dessert was offered.
We constantly had to ask for our waters to be refilled and it took about 15 minutes to get another drink delivered. The party was for 10 people and the waiter acted like she knew she was getting a guaranteed certain percentage tip because it was a larger group
The food was good, but our waiter seemed overwhelmed and complained that he was really busy and not looking forward to the rush of people.
Oceanaire needs to restore its pre-COVID muscle memory in terms of service which was disappointing.
The food was really good but definitely not anything to write home about and a little overpriced. The server ended up not being around a lot because she had a table next to us that was clearly spending more money than us which was disappointing. The service was very slow. We did tell her we didn’t like the fried rice and she took it off the bill.
I visited Oceanside for Mother’s Day weekend. My Mom and I ordered the fried lobster. It was delicious! The ambiance was very nice! Very close to hotel.
Our food was delicious, but service was painfully lacking! We had to flag down a manager in order to have our final drink order and dessert order taken. Our server completely disappeared on us when she got a larger/louder party. Almost like we didn’t exist anymore. Very frustrating when we are spending on average $100 per person
A great experience from an awesome staff. The food the servers the management excellent A+++
Tori is a waitress I will never forget. She was competent, thorough, pleasant, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was amazing and the birthday cake/ice cream was phenomenal. Thank you so much for making this a beautiful memory.
Service was slow and server was not attentive to table. Server dropped items on floor while cleaning appetizers and kicked them aside. Did not come back to pick up.
Main issue was Waitress wanted to seat a party of six at a table for a party of 5. Reservation made more than a week in advance, so not sure why they weren’t prepared for our party.
Service slower than molasses, Maryland crab soup had no crab but the Chilean Seabass was great as were the green beans and mashed potatoes. The crab cake was so-so at best
The night was great, until the waitress disappeared at the end of our meal. We wanted to order dessert so we told the waitress assistant to let us know. By the time the waitress re-appeared, we had decided not to order dessert; we were worried she would disappear again. So, we decided to get dessert elsewhere. Also the restaurant gave us a sticker so that our parking would be $5.00. We were dismayed to find out the sticker did not work in the parking garage, and we had to pay $28.00 for parking! We were very upset about this, as we felt betrayed by restaurant staff.
Enjoyable time! Food was superb
This place has the best service I have experienced in a long while!
They are very attentive to you from the moment you come through the doors.. it’s always great to be greeted by Mr. Charles a very very nice and professional guy!- and from that point it’s nothing but 5 star service. Highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or a professional meeting!!
5 stars in my and my Families book!!
The ambiance set the tone for what was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The service was impeccable was from start to finish. As soon as we were seated they presented with an extensive wine list which was quite impressive. We started the meal with crab cakes as an appetizer and for entrees we had the shrimp scampi and Lobster fried rice. The portions were generous and everything was delicious. I highly recommend visiting the Oceanaire, you will not be disappointed.
The baked Alaska was great!
Great Service, Above The Bar Ambience, Out of This World Food, and the Company of My Beautiful Wife made this one the best Anniversary Celebration yet.
Food and drinks were really good. Nice vibes. Service was really nice eve got a free anniversary dessert.
The food is great. The overall experience is great. I wish there was one in Philly!
My family of 5 came to Baltimore to celebrate my Mother’s birthday and we could not have chosen a better restaurant for dinner. We made same day reservations and the host and manger were very accommodating. The ambiance was perfect. The food was delicious and our water really looked out for us because we did not know that all sides were family style. We were all about you order individual sides and would have ordered too much. Even the cocktails were delicious and they do not skim on the alcohol. I can't wait to go back!!
Great job daisy! Dinner was great!
The food was excellent and the service as well. I definitely recommend this place. The seafood grill and the mash potatoes with truffle are very good. Also the sea bass is delicious! Tasty dessert and good quality drinks.
Great Food ! Best Sea Bass anywhere, everything is great here
Great seafood restaurant. Service was great. The food did take a little long to come out.
