We fell in love with Norah immediately, but then realized we we're better off friends.
The food keeps getting better and better. We loved everything! Corn bread is a must. Duck liver mousse and Crudo was fantastic. The swordfish was cooked perfectly and had great flavor and we loved the Tagliatelle. The apple crisp was a perfect dessert.
Very excited to try Norah. Overall a nice evening which could have been made superb with more attentive service/hospitality. On balance, cocktails and wines by the glass were skippable which is disappointing for a spot which should cater to the bar clientele. All the food was excellent and there really wasn’t a forkful that missed the mark. Highly recommend the gnocchi! All then proteins were impeccable. Please tweak the service to make this spot unforgettable!
It was perfect! The service the food the atmosphere were all perfectly handled
We had the best waiter! He was amazing. Breakfast burrito wasn't bad either! Awesome pick for a brunch double date.
Great ambiance, service, food & drinks. Can’t wait to come back.
Amazing food and cocktails with a relaxing atmosphere
Food was outstanding as always service was great we will be back soon
Creative and delicious tasting/wine pairing menu and great service.
Norah is a real gem in West Hollywood. I love the design, audience and of course the incredibly unique and delicious food.
Awesome place. 1st time there and loved everything.
Lovely service and birthday celebration
Norah is a study in contrasts. The decor is very chic, elegant, yet fun, and the food is fantastic and creative. But the staff seem poorly trained, and have apparently been encouraged to dress in a shabby mix of grunge, plaid and denim that seems at odds with the stylish interior. The customers were far better dressed than the staff --and if we put in a little effort to dress up for a night out, shouldn't the staff look a little snappier? Our waiter was very sweet, but couldn't explain several items on the menu and nearly messed up our after-dinner drink because he couldn't understand what we were ordering. (We pronounced it correctly and he didn't recognize the name.) And finally, we had an early reservation, and the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, and yet we were initially seated in the farthest corner of the place, at a table where one person had side view of the room and the other looked straight at a blank wall. We asked to be re-seated and were accommodated --with a table within a few feet of the swinging doors to the kitchen. I understand that some tables are better than others, but if we booked days in advance, and arrived on time for our reservation, shouldn't we have been given something better than what was clearly the WORST table in the place? Despite all that, because of the ambiance and the food, I think I will go back.
Highly overrated. Very limited menu, with many high profit items. For example: one piece of toast with spread of canned albacore tuna, $14;market lettuce, $15; corn bread with soggy center $9. Many dishes also severely over-salted.
I always recommend Norah to visitors and friends. Norah is the one restaurant that I can truly say everything on the menu is amazing. The menu may seem unassuming, but the first bite will give you the reassurance that the chef knows exactly what they’re doing and the flavors blend flawlessly. And they change it up weekly...I can’t fully express how much I LOVE this place!
It would have been perfect but food was so slow - we waited over an hour for our meal.
We absolutely loved everything about Norah. The team were very courteous, helpful and had great knowledge of the dishes and all of the ingredients. We will gladly recommend Norah to our friends traveling to the states and can’t wait to get back to try the rest of the delicious and innovative dishes.

Excellent food and service. We tried several appetizers and entrees and all of them were superb. It was my first experience in this restaurant while my family (wife and daughter) have been there few times and always enjoyed it. Now I agree with them
We ordered the tasting menu, with wine pairings. There was no progression to the meal, and no cohesion to the dishes presented. The timing in the presentation was off. Though the portions were generous, the flavors were meh for the most part (exception: the pasta sheets with the meat ragu was delicious). The wine-pairings were dubious and miserly. The space is so beautiful, it was a shame that the meal did not live up to the ambiance. We won't be returning.
The food was really top notch, especially the Uni-butter pasta.
Everything was exceptional!!! Food was to die for!!!
Fabulous, food, service and ambiance. We shared small plates, a couple of entrees and a bottle of wine. Everything was wonderful but you pay for it. Pretty expensive even though all was good.
Loved Norah! The food, service and drinks were great. Loved the vibe of the back seating area more than the front, of the restaurant, next time I will ask to sit back there. The Paella is a must!
Excellent service. We had the testing menu and it was delicious. Plenty of food for the price
We -- party of 4 -- went to Norah for a birthday dinner. Found it through OpenTable. It's a big space with lots of hard surfaces and lots of noise. Very designed, and quite comfortable, though I was not excited by our table a couple of feet away from the waiter's station. It's a "family style" concept so we ordered a lot of things and passed them around. One big issue was the combination of gloom and black plates: it was often hard to see what we were eating. (Black rice? Maybe?) The food was excellent, especially the scallops and the swordfish. Most of our starters -- roasted broccolini, charred root vegetables, burrata , etc. -- fell into the "artisanal dairy product plus charred veg" category. Nothing wrong with that, though I can't see why the broccolini HAD to be anointed with super-hot chili paste instead of the paste on the side. (Yes, we asked: the waiter said he couldn't do it.) We didn't drink much but I had a superlative Rob Roy. Apple cake to finish was ho-hum while decaf macchiato was splendid. Overall a good meal.
This is our second time at Norah. We came here on a Saturday night for a family dining out (my wife and I and our two teenage daughters), and we were not disappointed. Although they had a tasting menu, we chose to order from the main menu. Few appetizers later we knew we have made the right decision. The adult cocktails were creative, the food was excellent, and the whole vibe was just right.
The menu was small but the food was delicious. The decor was gorgeous but the restaurant was quiet for a Saturday lunchtime
Always a great spot. They also accommodated moving the reservation back an hour on Valentine's day to let us get there after a scheduling problem with our day. So happy with the experience.
I started the restaurant search by finding a company that would accept the open table gift card I received from my company. I found Norah and was excited by the reviews and the menu. I called 2 times to confirm the open table gift card was accepted there and the hostess assured me that it was after checking with the manager. Upon arrival at the restaurant, I once again handed the gift card to the server and asked to make sure that the gift card was accepted. He assured me that it was.
After what was one fantastic meal and a great conversation, the bill arrived. The waiter returns after a short disappearance and informs me that they are not able to accept the gift card even though I had checked with the hostess, Kennedy twice and the waiter who also checked with the manager who all said that they would accept. The bill is now $150 which they want me to pay without the $100 gift card which I was assured would work. The Manager was so rude, I cannot even put into words how awful the treatment was. I told him I would not be paying the difference. I stated I would leave the cash and the gift card and it was his job to get the bill sorted out. He tried to stonewall me and said there was nothing he could do. He kept repeating it over and over again. I told him I'm going to walk out and he is free to do whatever he wants. After realizing that I would not budge and would not pay he very be grudgingly said he would reach out to opentable to see what he could do. I told him that is fine. He came back and stated he worked it out somehow.
I will never be returning to Norah and I will tell everyone I know to never go there. I will also not be using open table again as a result of the hassle and embarrassment this created for me and my date on Valentines Day nevertheless.
Hopefully, my experience never happens to anyone else again.
Although they did have our reservation that I made on open table and sat us right away ...I was not happy overall. They took almost 15 minutes to take our drink order and the food took forever. Food is quite tasty, however it felt like an inconvenience for them to serve us.
Was really excited to go -- looked great online -- but it was actually awful. The burger was so greasy the grease was in my mouth more than 24 hours -- horrible. It was also grossly overpriced for the tiny mouthful. It was more like an appetizer than a main course. Overpriced and horrible.
It was HORRIBLE!!!!!!
The food was just ok and the service is just horrible.
Took me more than an hour to get my food and when we complained to the manger he was like whatever I don’t care. Never gonna come back again.
Fantastic experience- from the service to the food. There were three of us in our party, celebrating my daughter's birthday. A busy night for the restaurant; we were seated right close to the front entrance. We asked if we could be moved to a table inside but they could not because there was a large party going on inside so we settled in at the assigned table. The ambience was good, loved the high ceiling, noise level was moderate. Being our visit time there, we all decided to go with the chef's tasting menu served family style. Every item on the tasting menu was delicious; from the cast iron corn bread, freshly made ricotta to the roots & burrata-all to die for. I can't recall how many items were included in each course. The best part was the fact that there was not much time wasted waiting for the next course to be served. Very good value for the price. Definitely will be visiting again
The cornbread was the best I've ever had and the biscuits and fried chicken sandwich were outstanding. Great atmosphere for brunch and great service as well. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in West Hollywood!
Everything was perfect except the vegan spaghetti. But the service, ambiance and pace of the meal were spot on. The food was extraordinary with the one exception.
Stylish crowd and equally good food, ambiance and service
Norah was great! The Roasted Carrots with Burrata was the stand out dish, as was the Tagliolini with Shrimp. Our server was friendly, efficient, attentive. Great spot for a date, or dinner with friends. Small bar area, gets very crowded.
Always a place I like to bring people to. The food is fantastic, the drinks are super unique (especially the passion fruit marg) and the service is great!
Very friendly staff, amazing food. Loved it!
The layout of the restaurant made you feel as if you had all the room in the world even though the restaurant was busy. We felt very well taken care of with friendly and knowledgable staff, super fast service. We loitered a bit and were not made to feel rushed. Food was outta this world - get the corn bread and the scallops. Would highly recommend!
This was my second time to Norah's. The best thing on the menu is their cornbread! My friend took me out for my birthday and we had a nice cozy dinner. The service and food were great. I would definitely come back again.
