What Insiders Are Saying
We fell in love with Norah immediately, but then realized we we're better off friends.
Exceptional experience from beginning to end. The staff is awesome the food is deliciously incredible. We loved The Cast iron corn bread it’s a must try.
We very much enjoyed all of our food and Rex (our Server) was on point with all of his knowledge and recommendations. Our only overall critique pertains to the lighting, we found it a bit too dark which made our overall dinning experience slightly less enjoyable since you first eat with your eyes and being able to see our food was difficult. I completely understand the lighting creates the atmosphere however your dinners should be able to see what they're eating. Keep in mind we were sitting in the very far corner of the restaurant next to the patio windows where the light was quite sparse.
All this being said... the food, cocktails and service were all excellent. We look forward to making our way back to Norah's for more incredible corn bread and more delicious creations.
The food here is amazing! It’s the second time I came & was surprised it wasn’t busier. They use fresh, creative ingredients & the presentation is beautiful.
I’d love to see a larger pour on the wine. My first glass was so small I thought it was a taste. The second was slightly better, but not what I would have hoped for.
Norah was a wonderful meal for our group - we hosted two friends from out of town, and it was a great balance of chic atmosphere, appealing location, friendly service, and tasty food & drink. A special night out without any stuffiness.
Very stylish interior design and great food quality and service.
Gnocchi with black truffle was amazing. The only complaint was the staff was super clumsy. We were bumped into several times, spilled on, and brought the incorrect dishes (not a big deal though as this was remedied). Would return.
Norah is easily my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. I've never had a bad meal there and every dish is a slam dunk. My only complaint is the fact that I went in last week for my anniversary, reservation with special request made through Open Table, and the restaurant couldn't find it in their system. This is likely an Open Table issue and not Norah. However, the host seemed exasperated and frustrated even though I had email confirmation. They stuck us in a corner at the last available table. The meal was amazing as usual but it was a not ideal start.
Amazing! I came down from SF to visit my Uncle and took him to Norah for his birthday. Excellent service from the entire staff throughout. We tried an item from each section of the menu and each dish was better than the last. Must get: Cauliflower croquettes Best Value: Wagyu w/ black garlic oil 10/10 will be dining here again!
Had a very sparse and disappointing brunch here--dinner is very good but SKIP brunch!!!
Everything I ate was incredible! The potato gnocchi was AMAZING!! Loved the cornbread with special butter as well. Had the chocolate, graham cracker dessert and that was also delicious,
I would absolutely come back here again and truly hope they never get ride of the gnocchi!
Great name for the restaurant as well! 😘
Cornbread was amazing! Good wine list and close to home.
It was a little louder than I expected but I had a wonderful romantic evening with my girlfriend regardless.
Incredible in every way. We will be returning!
Food was disappointing, ambience non existent, noisy and unappealing, would not return
Great ambiance and food was tasty! Service was also excellent!
Some friends and I had dinner there the other night. First we had the cornbread, then the grilled bread with sweet burrata. It was delicious. The rest of our meal went downhill. The fiied coliflower was not very good, just spicy. Then we ordered, I think it was a pasta? It wasn’t very good. No taste. Just limp, on the plate. Then we ordered 2 desserts. They were just okay....sorry we really wanted to like it.
It looked much better in their website. The restaurant was smaller than I thought. The food choice wasnt much and it was all over priced. Portion of food were all small. Their glass of wine cost about$15 and it wasnt good at all.
They need to work on what they serve. If theres a happy hour or something it will be better.
The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was very trendy and cute, but the food was sub par. There is not a great selection on the menu...I thought my meal was bland and I saw the woman at the table next to me return her dish to the kitchen because her eggs were cold. Overall had a fine experience, but there are many other restaurants I would recommend in the area before this one.
Lovely atmosphere and service. The menu is eclectic and delicious. Highly recommended.
I was seated at the bar and I had an amazing conversation with my neighbors while eating great food and drinking a perfect lemon drop martuni
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday after watching a comedy show up the street in Hollywood on a Saturday night. The restaurant was not packed but definitely recognized a few famous faces. Our waiter was super delightful and cocktails were pretty good. Overall the food was good but wouldn't say it was the best thing I ever had.
Service was definitely not the best. We made reservations days ahead and were stuck at a corner section. Food was a bit pricey for what it was. Will not go again as there are better restaurants in the area.
Fabulous food! Great atmosphere! Very courteous staff.
Great food, great service, great place, great time.
Corn bread was fantastic. Baby Broccoli was excellent. I enjoyed my pasta dish with ham..,husband had the gnocchi. My daughter had the braised greens with chick peas.....sour notes were a bit much for her. Yet still good.
Drinks were really good! Food was overly salty. Waiter was aloof
Very quiet. Food was okay but nothing spectacular. Good cocktail selection.
All but one dish (and we had about 9) were exceptional, some were a wonderful surprise. Service was fantastic too.
Not good, but not terribly bad. I really enjoyed the ambiance, and the service was outstanding, but unfortunately the food didn’t match up. My partner ordered a pasta dish while I went for the Spanish octopus, which lacked in flavor and had a rubbery texture. Ordered the ricotta as an appetizer, and the bread was burnt black! Intentional, maybe, but I don’t think anyone is hipster enough to appreciate visibly over-combusted bread.
The dinner items were delicious however one member of the group was lactose intolerant and none of the main dishes (pasta or meats) were lactose intolerant friendly so they had to resort to a vegetable for dinner. Don’t go there if you have diet restrictions or allergies.
The food and service at Norah were really outstanding and the food combinations for each dish were perfect. We would definitely return if in the area!
Great place overall. Had lots of the items in the menu and was happy with everything. The salmon wasn’t the best, but would still recommend the restaurant for sure!! Definitely a great place!
Met a few friends here for dinner, which happened to also be our anniversary. We were recommended the restaurant by a friend. Did the chefs tasting menu, and it was fantastic. I’m pregnant and the chef even accommodated some fish items.
My husband was worried he wouldn’t be full- but he took that back at the end of the meal :)
My only issue was the noise level, even sitting right next to people it was often times hard to hear them. Other than that- it was fantastic. Great ambiance, service and food! We will be back.
The food was okay but the service was slow. It would take 10-15 minutes for a server to refill your drink and they would rarely come check in on you. The waitress was very sweet but I just wish the service was quicker.
Good, fresh, modern food. Excellent service. Try the cauliflower croquets.
No no no no no no bo no no no no no no no no novice no matter how bad they were doing I gotta is a time for you I gotta is a time to go get some food
Was recommended by a local and while the service was superb the atmosphere and the food was not. Found the food to be a bit hot or miss and the overall atmosphere was a bit dreary and tired. Lacked any excitement or buzz.
A vibrant restaurant with great atmosphere and fabulous food and an impressive wine list.
Dining room is sterile. Food was was subpar for the $. Drinks were solid.Table for two was too deep. I think Norah is good for drinks but lots of better dining options all over West Hollywood and Bev Hills.
