Terrible service, very absent
Phone failed to read barcode menu and Nobu doesn’t have regular menu for backup
Nice dinner, nice service, nice place.
I like it a lot
Outstanding. Our server, Jamie, was fantastic. This was our first time and were not sure what to order. We just gave Jamie and budget and let her pick for us and everything was fantastic.
Everything was great from the moment we walked in until we left. We were celebrating my husbands acceptance to Executive MBA school so I wanted champagne waiting on us at the table - the girls at the front desk went above and beyond choosing a delicious champagne for us. John was our server and he was very detailed when explained the menu and came around often to check on us (not a annoying amount, just perfect). We had several cocktails and tried things from all parts of the menu. We loved the experience and will be back.
My daughter loved it and was ready to go back the next day.
Several dishes were excellent. The tempura was chintzy on the crust. The fried okra however was outstanding. The sashimi was very fresh. No whole fish available (had to ask rather than be informed) . How is that possible on the Gulf Coast? The fresh wasabi did not look or taste like fresh wasabi and the portion (extra charge) was less that half a cubic centimeter, loosely portioned. The waiter was very knowledgeable but service was a bit rushed. I made a point of ordering in stages and it was still rushed. Doesn't help for the food to come out hot if you have to chomp through prior courses to get to it before it cools. Wine list was about what I would expect from an upscale chain. Only three or four sakes on the menu, house brand for most, I think. Wagyu A5 beef $36 an ounce. Can buy it bulk for $6.50 an ounce so almost 500% markup. Just sayin'
Not at all what I was expecting. It was my first time at Nobu and I was expecting an elegant environment. It felt more like a dive. Also was expecting more vegan options and they were skimp at best. I would not recommend this location to vegetarians or some expecting that “Nobu” experience.
Excellent service. The food’s quality and presentation are incredible.
We were celebrating a birthday and they had a special greeting and served a dessert with a candle.
A bucket list restaurant that did not disappoint.
Had the signature Omakaze, great selection of dishes. Great service and very attentive to the kids and to making my daughter’s birthday celebration special.
The food, service, and atmosphere were definitely worth the travel from Austin
We love coming here for happy hour! Great service every time and the food and drinks are delicious!
Excellent food, friendly and very helpful staff- can't wait to go back!
Food was excellent as always. Presentation , taste and service was outstanding. Look forward to the next time we are in town to enjoy dining here again.
I don't understand the negative reviews. I have been to many Nobu restaurants in other cities and it never disappoints. But I always do the Omakase, which is what I recommend everyone do when they dine at Nobu. It's actually a better value than ordering a la carte and the food is reliably good. We did the Signature Omakase and every course was delicious. We were really full at the end. When I made the reservations, I made a note that it was my husband's birthday so they even provided an extra dessert with a candle on it for him, which I thought was a really nice touch.
Good was amazing and the experience was top notch. I would definitely recommend Nobu for a great dining experience.
place was not nearly as nice as i thought it would be. seemed more like a diner.
Great Service, and great food. I will be going back again soon.
Very expensive for the food. Don't take me wrong. Food is good.
But it is not that good, worthy to pay what they charge.
They took a while to bring our drinks. Also we asked for a rib eye well done and it was medium rare. But our server explained very well how the restaurant works on serving the menu . It’s a bit expensive for the portions but food is real good! They brought us a dessert for our anniversary
El mejor lugar de Houston, la comida y la atencion excelente.
Food was wonderful but the service was terrible. We had to beg for drinks to be refilled. Waiter never came to the table unless we flagged him down. Then he wasn’t happy. Honestly the experience in this restaurant is not the same when the service is slow and unfriendly. A 400 dollar meal that couple have been great.
Service was bad for the type of restaurant. Food was overpriced and nothing special. We were served bad eel and were told it was good. I travel to Asia regularly and was told by the restaurant that I was wrong about bad eel. The server throughout the meal continues to push the most expensive dishes onto you. I’ve been to other Nobu restaurants NYC, Lanai, & London and this one made me want to never go to one again. I’d rather eat at a sushi restaurant in Nebraska than visit Nobu in Houston.
The Manager of the Houston location assisted us and was terrific at recommending dishes and guiding us through our experience. As always, was a lovely dinner - perfect for celebrating a special occasion.
Atmosphere, Food and service were a superb!
Always consistently amazing…love Nobu anywhere in the world, thank you.
Nobu Houston was one of the best dining expereiences I’ve ever had. Manager Jamie took care of us & made some really great suggestions. I cannot wait to come back!
This restaurant did not come anywhere close to my expectations. The sushi was average (I’ve had better at hole in the wall places) and the prices were just outrageous for the quality of food. The ambience was not great, the lights were too bright, and the tables were way too close to one another. There was basically another table right next to us with a plexiglass separation. It made me feel awkward and like I was in a zoo. They were so close it was almost like they were part of my table and it made my first experience there feel weird. I really must say that the expectations I had for this place were high but nothing came close to what I was told. Food, ambience, and even the drinks barely met an average rating. I’m really disappointed and will probably never return.
Excellent food and service! Jaimey was top notch!
NO and BOO! The food was underwhelming and not what we expected for our celebration evening. Our party of 4 tried multiple dishes and can't reccomend 1 as memorable. Still in shock. Not worth a second visit. Moreover, we're still in disbelief with the rediculously pricey bill.
Food was fantastic.
Seat I was sitting on was not clean.
I had white jeans on and they stained them.
Service was very good.
