A new neighbourhood Italian in South Audley Street from restaurateur Samyukta Nair, showcasing the talent of Turin-born chef Somaia Hammad. Meaning ‘granddaughter’ in Italian, Nipotina’s menu will blend the duo’s cultural traditions to create nostalgic dishes with family at the core, all made with simple, seasonal produce along with a good dose of Italian soul.
Borrowing chef Somaia nonna's recipes, Nipotina’s menu will feature family classics that she’s been able to make her own. A relaxed and informal dining experience, Nipotina will be home to wood-fired seafood and meats, handcrafted pasta, crisp Nothern Italian pizzas, all-Italian wine list, classic cocktails and warm hospitality. Open early each morning for breakfast, long lunches, aperitivo, late dinners and cocktails, the restaurant will take inspiration from cherished memories made from Piedmont to Puglia.

The portions were tiny and my pasta dish (not fresh pasta) was so undercooked, the noodles were hard in the center. The service was very slow.

Incredibly pricey. We went for the Easter menu, and were charged sixty-eight pounds for four pieces of lamb. It was supposed to serve two, it barely served one. I appreciate this is Mayfair, but 68 pounds for barely a portion of lamb is daylight robbery.

We dined at Nipotina as a party of six on our last night in London. It was walking distance from our hotel and we were looking for farm-to-table style Italian food in a casual setting - this was PERFECT. The house-special Negroni cocktails are incredible! A must-try. We had a starter, a pasta, and a pizza between 2 of us and it was the perfect amount of food. The Lobster ravioli in a spicy vodka sauce (named something authentically Italian) was light, lemony, and a perfect bite. The pizza was wood-fired thin crust and also really well balanced. We loved our service, too. Perfect amount of warm attention without rushing us. If I was a local, I’d eat here every week!

Excellent evening. Food is good, menu has something for everybody in the family and the quality is great. The value is really good as well given the postcode.

There was a very large corporate party at the back of the restaurant making a huge amount of noise. Very difficult to access the bar and the toilet because of this. On top of this while the food was good the portions were very small, even for diners with small appetites , service charge and taxes were high and the server rounded up our bill even after paying 15% in additional taxes.
