A love letter to Los Angeles, Nic’s on Beverly is a plant-based restaurant focused on California cuisine serving a little bit of everything you’d hope to find on a Los Angeles menu; a melting pot of cuisines unified in their ability to showcase local Californian produce in a casual-yet-fun setting. Nic’s is founded by a collective of creatives, who run L.A.’s hottest dining destinations and iconic culinary and music festivals, who set out to give Angelenos and visitors alike a great restaurant--that just happens to be plant-based. For lunch, brunch, and dinner, the restaurant is a perfect hideaway to converse over drinks at the bar, which features a must-try cocktail list by Jason Eisner and culinary delights by culinary director Steven Fretz.

We allow a 90-minute dining experience per table.

must haves: crispy rice with avocado, great flavors and texture, Cocktails: Samantha Jones, tasty notes. The deep dish balsamic, ricotta, arugula pizza was the big hit, flavorful, shareable, presentation. Desserts we tried: butterscotch pudding with cookies , especially great if you have a sweet tooth, I preferred the dark chocolate mousse with house-made biscotti- savory, creamy, mildly sweet- Chef's kiss!
Oh and get the Kennebec gratin potatoes, but ask for more harissa sauce, too little for the dish size.

Our food was delicious! We both got the waffles and it was a great choice, especially loved the maple syrup. I'm sorry I don't remember our server's name but she was also great! Overall a really enjoyable experience in a beautiful place. We got engaged after lunch so we'll never forget it!

We loved this restaurant! The food was marvelous, as was the service and ambiance. There was parking located in the back of the restaurant for $10 cash. It was a pricey dinner, but it was so worth it! It was quite a wonderful experience!

As a Vegan, I want every vegan restaurant to succeed and thrive. This was my first time trying Nic's. I had heard good things about their food. Unfortunately, my meal fell far behind my expectations. First, I ordered their signature drink, The Creamsicle, only to be told they were out of it. The menu offered "Mexican Coke." Coke is a brand name and Mexican Coke implies that it's made from sugar, not sweeteners. The drink came out to be an off brand cola, made of sugar, yes, but not what was advertised and not very good. Then the Tempura Mushrooms, our appetizer. They were very oily, I suspect not cooked at a hot enough temperature. They batter overwhelmed the mushroom taste. The French Onion soup was excellent, full of taste and nicely presented. The Fish and Chips offered potatoes that were cold, not at all crispy. The fish was one that can be bought at the local markets, so not very inventive. Finally, I ordered the Butterscotch Pudding and decaffeinated coffee, only to be told they had no decaffeinated coffee because of supply chain issues. Strange, since decaf can be bought any store. The pudding consistency was off, it was too hard, not creamy and lacked any depth of butterscotch taste. I know it's difficult to make a good vegan butterscotch since the main ingredient is butter, but this dish just tasted bland. The caffeinated coffee I was served was at best luke warm, not hot. I'm sorry to give this negative review, I don't like doing so and I'm sure other diners were happier with their meal, but this was my experience. Oh, and the meal was very expensive.

Nic's has a 100% plant-based menu. The build-out of the space is very nice - especially the back half which is outdoor patio. The food is very good here - the chinois on beverly salad is a must, along with their Detroit-style pizzas. The cocktails are just OK - not stellar, which you should expect when spending $16. My biggest issue is the menu prices - this place is VERY expensive. Pizza's are $30, which is outrageous. You can get comparable quality / portion sizes from other Vegan restaurants in So Cal for under $25.

We enjoyed the food. The tables in a line are too close. We were sat next to a couple who repeatedly used profanity/cuss words very loud & in front of my child. I complained but nothing was done. I had to tell the couple to stopping cussing in front of my child. I would not recommend this place to a family with kids.

Food was overall good. We especially loved the Benedict, it was very flavorful and a nice twist on a classic. The Florentine omelette using JustEgg was quite bland and boring, wouldn’t order it again. The pizza we didn’t like the vegan cheese used, but the crust and tomato sauce were good. We look forward to returning to try other items on the menu.

Really good food. A little expensive but worth it. Two veggie burgers, one appetizer, one dessert and one side about $120 which includes a 20% tip. You decide. But it was very very good.

The food was amazing, the desert was tasty, the service was great. I love the energy of the place and how small and quiet it is. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom was quite messy and not doing too hot but that doesn't' take away from the food necessarily.

Vegan spot. I'm nowhere near being Vegan, usually hate vegan foot ( I like meat and can't stand imitations), but we attended this restaurant, for the first time, by accident ( not knowing that "bbq chicken pizza..." wasn't really chicken). I was shocked at how great all of the food is, the drinks were great as well (Thomasina really knocked them out-the-park). I have officially added a Vegan restaurant to my 'LA Restaurant List' and I will 100% be back.

Get - Butter Lettuce Cups with Avocado & BBQ Chicken Pizza.

This was my first time here and I'd heard great things from friends. However, it took me a while to actually visit because the menu reads so lackluster. Even when we sat down it was hard to decide because nothing was described very fantastically. It's just a weird thing because the food was PHENOMENAL. Seriously so so so good. Maybe the best brunch food I've ever had? The service was amazing. The staff was amazing. The seating just everything was really so great. COVID protocols were appreciated.

So, don't let the menu descriptions convince you this place is basic or lacks flavor. It most definitely does not!

Nics on Beverly was amazing. We came in for a 9:15 reservation and the restaurant closes at 10 and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Everything our waiter recommended was incredible and we had so many leftovers (great portion size). Got the frose, falafel burger, original pizza, and butterscotch pudding.

Subpar food at ridiculous prices. Obviously they need to pay exorbitant rent on Beverly but this food is appallingly overpriced and not enjoyable. Maybe brunch is better. Dinner is a big thumbs down from us. $16 for a cup premade pudding and terrible cookies? I’ve only seen a $16 dessert at a five star establishment with a Michelin pastry chef. I’m actually appalled.
