A love letter to Los Angeles, Nic’s on Beverly is a plant-based restaurant focused on California cuisine serving a little bit of everything you’d hope to find on a Los Angeles menu; a melting pot of cuisines unified in their ability to showcase local Californian produce in a casual-yet-fun setting. Nic’s is founded by a collective of creatives, who run L.A.’s hottest dining destinations and iconic culinary and music festivals, who set out to give Angelenos and visitors alike a great restaurant--that just happens to be plant-based. For lunch, brunch, and dinner, the restaurant is a perfect hideaway to converse over drinks at the bar, which features a must-try cocktail list by Jason Eisner and culinary delights by Chef Randy.

We allow a 90-minute dining experience per table.

Heard a lot about this place, so figured we’d go for date night before it closed. I would describe it as “good” all round. Maybe they already lost their head chef, but none of the dishes were really great. Particularly disappointing was the lions mane mushroom steak. We had high expectations and it was really just… a big wad of expensive mushrooms with a nice smoky flavor. What were we expecting I guess? For the price of an actual steak, something more. Anyway, happy we managed to go before it closed, we wouldn’t be going back either way.

The servers were very rushed and borderline rude just because they’re closing. I still spent nearly $100 for so so food and hurried staff.

Food is great, unique, and well done. Service was poor (literally took the whole meal before anyone came to bring us water)

Came here before they closed. Service was horrible. Took 40 minutes to get our order taken and 2 hours before all of our food came out. Drinks were a whole other nightmare. This was all due to our waitress.

Another, maybe final meal at a wonderful restaurant run with passion and creative inventive delicious cooking: so very sad to see one of the best vegan spots leaving us. Go before they do!
