   A lovely experience having a late lunch at the Next Door. I was missing the chic ambiance of the Kitchen, but suffice to say the new upgrades are nice as well. The new seating however is wood and no cushions. The food is a nice mix of sports bar-ish offerings, upscale wine, beer and cocktail list with local offerings. great service.

   I will miss the Kitchen, but hopefully Next Door will stay on our list too.

   Went to Next Door for during the soft opening. Many of the people from The Kitchen have segued to Next Door, so the service was very good. Menu was fairly extensive . During the soft opening the choices were limited. We sampled the beet appetizer, the beef-mushroom burger and veggie tacos. All were well plated and were very good. Disappointed that The Kitchen closed with a more formal menu, but Next Door appears to have the same high standards with a different, lower price point menu. Beer and wine selections, while limited, were good. Next Door needs to expand its cocktail offerings though as mixed drinks were limited.

   Since we were there for a "soft opening" we were presented a set menu of 3 entree items (for 3 people) + an appetizer and 2 drinks each. All the food was quite good even tho the entrees were probably not things any of us would have ordered on our own. All were tasty, generous portions, well prepared w/quality ingredients. Service was excellent. Our only real complaint - and it's a pretty big one - is that the music was DEAFening. That restaurant has rough acoustics anyway just with a lot of people in it, add repetitive dance music (since when is that appropriate for a restaurant?) with the volume level set on STUN, not only can you not hear your friends at the table but you can't wait to get out of the restaurant. I hope they fix that.

   Food was wonderful, staff was welcoming and attentive. We really enjoyed the new set up. Grateful for the opportunity to participate in the soft opening. Hope the Next Door concept works well for you all there in Fort Collins. We will be back for sure.

   The new menu options are excellent and the food we had was very well prepared and tasty. The wait staff and management were attentive, friendly, and professional. We will be back!

   Greeters at the door were warm and friendly. I loved the cucumber gimlet, and the rose wine. The French fries w/ curry aioli were great, as was the salmon, however the Greek salad had a little too much dressing on it. Server, Reyes, has a nice smile, and he was patient and friendly.     Nothwithstanding that the food was free, it was excellent. Well prepared, interesting, and very tasty. Portions were good. Service was outstanding, our waitperson went to great lengths to ensure that we were well satisfied. Bottom line: I'm coming back. Lots of interesting things on the menu. It will be a good value in a great downtown location. I'm thinking that we will be "regulars." See you soon!
