Oysters on the Half Shell
A Louisiana tradition! Chicken & sausage smothered with Cajun spices and rice
Pan seared redfish topped with dill Bluere Blanc sauce, served with Creole green beans, and heirloom potatoes
Food was great! Was rushed to order with a late reservation but we enjoyed the food!
The food was wonderful! The service was good but not great. There seemed to be some confusion with respect to which server was responsible for us and the table next to us. We both waited long periods and had infrequent check-ins, etc.
Great host and food
Had reserved a table in the bar for 7:30. When we got there (on time) we were told there were no seats in the bar and we'd have to eat in the dining room. Strike 1. Took forever to even glimpse our waiter. The first three things we ordered they were out of (our first two choices for an appetizer and a first choice for an entrée. Strike 2. Literally had to get up and look for our waiter to place a drink order. Strike 3. My meal (fried catfish) was a 1 out of 5 mostly because it was smothered in a sauce that negated the fried aspect of the catfish and just made it a soggy mess. My wife's meal was a mixed plate which turned out to be four soup cup sized samplings and would have fed a 6 yr old. Strike 4. Had to again get up to track our waiter down to get the check. Strike 6. Overall a terrible experience.
Slow service but very polite and nice. Food was mediocre, not what we were hoping for in NOLA. No crab meat for crab cakes. Crab stuffed mushrooms we all stuffing, no noticeable crab. Oysters were good as was the red beans and rice.
Calamari was stale and tasteless. Chargrilled oysters were burnt so bad you could not even remove the oyster from the shell
Love the food and service was quick and waitress was very helpful. The price was aliitle bit up there but then seafood is expensive. My husband totally was it it.
I ordered crab cakes and was disappointed to learn that they were using shrimp to replace crabmeat. The waitress DID NOT inform me of the substitution. I asked her about the change and she pretended to believe crabmeat was used. I’m a local and I know what crab cake look and taste like. Oysters were delicious!
Food was good, waiters seemed rushed but overall good.
The portion for the $24 seafood salad was pitiful. It had 3 shrimp and 3 crawfish tails. The Caesar salad was just lettuce and powder cheese. Not impressed.
Awesome server !
My wife and I stumbled across this place in December 2018 and really enjoyed the food and service! When we came back to NO for the first time since the pandemic we wanted to see if it would be the same and it was! Trinity, our waitress was great and though they were out of the pork shoulder and grits dish that I remembered, the catfish Decatur was a great substitute! Hopefully it will not be three years before we get back.
The food was ok. The service was horrible and they had the nerve to add a 20% gratuity to our bill which was $50. She was not a good server at all but then again, she knew she didn’t have to be. I’d never go here again.
Our server was so rude. I think they are rude because they know that their tips are already included in the bill, so there is no incentive to be kind. We had to complain to the manager who took money off of our bill. That was nice of him, but it shouldn't have to come to that. The food wasn't even worth the amount that we paid.
The glasses were dirty the food wasn’t as good as I’d hoped and the waiter was MIA
Amazing food!! Waitress was so great!
We waited an hour just for water. It was very unprofessional and not super busy, service was lacking. Left before we even got our food.
First time. Will definitely return and recommend.
Pleasant evening and good food
Food was awesome. Service was ok. Would definitely go back.
Service was great and food was delicious. Will definitely return.
Great waitress! Price too high. Crab cakes were horrible
Seafood creole pasta was everything! Location was perfect. Servers Chris and Ms.Pink were everything. Definitely will be back to enjoy more of the menu offerings
I had an appetizer I could have made at home. It was the firecracker shrimp and it taste like Sweet Thai Chili/Duck sauce.
The food was good but I only gave that 4 stars instead of 5 as the shrimp and grits were very sweet and not savory like I prefer. Most of the servers that we passed were nice but our server made us feel like we were a bother or that he’d had a bad day.
The food was excellent!!! We REALLY enjoyed the place!! Unfortunately, the waitress was not good at all!!! The other servers were good though and tried to pick up her slack.
Options that we wanted to order, we were told were unavailable but our table of friends that came in 15 minutes after us were allowed to order them. We were disappointed.
Our reservation was for 3pm, this was our first time and we wanted to try our happy hour but we were unable to do so because it was only allowed on the bar area. Which 2 seats weren’t available due to the rain leaking on the tables. Our server was amazing he was very sweet and attentive. My oysters were cold and dried out so I didn’t get to enjoy them. The fire cracker shrimp was delicious very sweet and savory. They didn’t have crab or crab meat so that took away what we wanted to try but the shrimp boil wasn’t seasoned at all. I had the blackened redfish that was very delicious. Overall for my 1st experience I wasn’t really impressed but I would come back to give them
Another shot maybe it would be different.
The food was very good. The service was terrible. We sat outside in the courtyard and it was very warm, and our server never refilled our water. He also literally stayed at the table for 10 seconds, long enough to drop off a plate and leave. We asked where the restrooms were and he turned around to leave and gestured to the right. He never bothered to drop off the check, and had the host do it. I would never come back here.
For reference, we are generally low maintenance diners, and I have been a bartender and server years ago. We also understand being short staffed. This was simply insulting to not be worth the bother of the server to check back once or twice.
Food was good, service was slow and not very attentive.
great service and meal...good drinks too! roll wave roll!
We came on a recommendation because we heard the crawfish étoufée was amazing (and it was) but what really impressed us was the outstanding red beans and rice. The ambiance & staff were so wonderful. The key lime dessert was great. I would both recommend this restaurant and return on my next trip.
Food quality fine for tourists, but for locals, not so much.
Sat immediately. Waitress took a long time to say hello and take our order. We were told they were out of oysters after we sat down. Had we known before we would not have down and found another place. Also out of crab at 6:15 pm. Food came out quickly but waitress visited table infrequently. Two entrees and water was close to $70 with tip. Not a good value.
Wait staff was amazing. He was a perfect blend on information, humor, and service.
A taste of New Orleans with the ambience. You must visit and experience the beautiful architecture and delicious food.
Filthy glasses on table had to be removed and we drank from plastic instead. Waitress tried but she couldn’t make up for everything else. Skip this depressing place. We only went because we couldn’t get reservations anywhere else.
Great food, great service, and great ambience! I will be adding this to my list of NOLA restaurants.
This was the worse experience we have ever had in a restaurant. The hostess was rude, service extremely slow, food terrible and we had to deal with a busboy that appeared to hate his job. I would highly recommend you avoid this place if you are ever in New Orleans.
We were all very disappointed that you had no crab meat in any of your recipes.
