The food was amazing. Something in my order got mixed up, bu
Never got our food
Good ambiance. Good service. A little bit too fast but ok.
Outstanding as usual. Come here every time I’m in NOLA!
We booked a table for two at 8:00pm, between parades. We were seated right away. 10 minutes later a server filled our water glasses say our server would be available soon. At 8:30 I talked to the hostesses that we had not had any service. Her response "It's Carnival, what do you expect? " The restaurant was not full. A quarter of the tables were empty. 8:35 a sever arrived and took our order. Then food came out fast, hot, and delicious. So much food neither of us finished our plates.
It was fine but nothing special. With so many options in NOLA to choose from, we probably won’t race back.
Wonderful Jambalaya. Portions are huge so if you have already been gorging yourself through town, you may want to split this dish. Oh, and don't follow where Google maps tells you it is. It is NOT on Decatur Street.
The Cajun pasta changed and it was honestly so gross so didn’t even eat more than one bite, but the charbroiled oysters are always great. It was pretty quiet at dinner which was nice. Next time I’d probably only get the oysters and maybe the trio entree, but even that seems to have slipped recently. Eh. Wish it was as good as it was like 4 years ago. I only took photos of my oysters and cheesecake because everything else sucked.
Food and service is excellent. A little noisy, but manageable. Menu is great.
Ok but not what I'd consider a good value for the money. Pasta dish had little shrimp, sausage or crab. Disappointed..
Nice casual place. Decent and reasonably priced wine list.
This was our third time eating here. Every time we come to New Orleans we make sure to dine here the food is always excellent and the staff is top notch I definitely recommend it to everyone
We were able to get a table for 9 with 10 minutes notice. Good food. A little pricey.
Food and service was excellent would recommend and return
Was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be back!
My friends and I came to New Orleans for a girls trip and booked this restaurant the week of the trip. It is a beautiful restaurant with terrific ambiance. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner although my one friend wasn’t happy with the crab cakes which she said were all breading. She spoke to the manager about this and he was very rude and not very professional about this. Our waitress was adorable and made great meal suggestions. Overall we had a wonderful time.
My sister really wanted Redfish and they cook it 4 different ways! Crab cakes and broiled oysters were rockin! It was a brother and sisters meal! We will definitely go back! Orlando was a great waiter!!
The food was unbelievable. Authentic Cajun cuisine. And the absolute best server we ever had. Benjamin was the best !
We enjoyed our food and our wonderful waitress Nancy! We came back a second night and Nancy served us again! She is the best!
Waitress did a great job but was poorly supported by management. Our order was not difficult but served in random order. Instead of admitting that a meal was forgotten the manager made excuses. Food great. Calamari and the shrimp apps were awesome. Drinks were great and again server was extremely nice.
Love the FOOD!!!💗💗💗Will be BACK!!!The Service was Great too the WHOLE STAFF!!!
Food was fabulous and service outstanding . We went with server recommendations on food, wine and dessert and glad we did . Delicious !
When I lived in Nola - I remember coming into the beautiful courtyard and having a lovely meal. This trip was way different. The gentleman at the host station was beyond nice! The food presentation was nice! The courtyard was being worked on - which made the ambiance a bit different - but you can’t knock a place for trying to improve, so no harm there, just not a gorgeous view (the man at the host stand mentioned that - but the weather was nice, so we went with it). It took a sufficient while to be greeted- server seemed overwhelmed - and didn’t talk us through the menu, he was more of an order taker - which would be fine if this was a fast food joint . However the restaurant wasn’t busy. I don’t even remember catching his name, I don’t think he even told us. He didn’t make any suggestions and seemed incredibly rushed with us. Food came out in a timely manner, and tasted good enough, but with all the competition out there - chances are we probably won’t be back or suggest this place. We tipped over 20% in cash, hoping this guy was having an off-day. Didn’t mention anything to anyone - just won’t return.
A little pricey, but the food was wonderful. Our server was OUTSTANDING!!!
We had an absolutely horrible experience everything that could go wrong did. We had a reservation for an inside table and they tried to sit us outside. When we told them we wanted to be sat inside, the manager looked at us and said “well then god knows how long your wait is going to be”. (Isn’t that the point of a reservation?)
We were finally sat 20 minutes after our reservation, waited 30 min just for drinks and the server kept bringing us the wrong bottle. Then when he finally did show up with a bottle, he told us the bar was swamped so he couldn’t guarantee he’d get us the right one.
Oysters came and were delicious but our other appetizers, salads and soups didn’t come until 1 1/2 hours later. When they did arrive, the wedge salads were great, but the trio appetizer and gumbo were cold.
Less then 3 minutes after our apps, soups and salads came, our meals arrived (after being there for 1 1/2 hours and asking the manager to check on our food).
When our meals arrived, the crab legs were cold, the blackened redfish was so dry and overcooked it was not edible and my redfish ponchetarian never came. We even asked the server and manager for my meal and it still never came 20 minutes later so we ended up cancelling it and sending back the blackened redfish and just asked them to remove it from the bill - we ended up not getting dinner. We had to send back the crab legs because they were cold and all they did was dip them again until they were warm which resulted in them then being overcooked. Drawn butter was also never brought out for the crab.
Overall it was a horrible experience on all accounts. And to top it off, we had to ask for a manager multiple times because they just wouldn’t come to the table and after they knew about an issue, they never came back to make sure we were happy or that the issue had been resolved. Honestly just poor management overall.
Some how I felt it’s food was not worth for the price what we have paid. We were sitting out side and few of the heaters were not even working.
We were in NO for New Years Eve. Food was very good and atmosphere very nice. I would highly recommend.
Food was pretty good, service was not (maybe related to NYE). Prices were pretty high for what we ordered. They ran out of bread while we were there.
We had a party of 6 on New Years Eve. The service, food and atmosphere was amazing and made for a special night. We cannot wait to go back.
Food didn’t come out. Manager was rude. To us and to our server. Took 20+ minutes to get our check to even leave.
Honestly the worst restaurant in New Orleans. I couldn’t tell you one nice thing about it.
The food was very good and economical and the table service was also very good. Our problem was that we were sitting outside in a nice courtyard but the kitchen exhaust fan was nearby and very loud which makes it difficult if you can’t put it out of your mind. The other problem was that it started raining all of a sudden and so everyone raced to a nearby covered area while our food was soaked. The management were not prepared for it and did not know what to do so we were just given the bill to pay. The management was nice but new and need to come up with a game plan for what to do in those situations.
A great way to end our NOLA vacation! Best meal of the week with exceptional service!
Our first night in NOLA and this was the relaxed place near our hotel that we were looking for. The staff was terrific. Oysters were great and my husbands Voodoo Shrimp was amazing. I would have given everything five stars except my blackened redfish was over cooked and very dry. Great flavor just left on that super hot pan too long. Would definitely go back and just order something else.
For starters, our waitress, Nancy, was awesome. Unfortunately, the Christmas Eve crowd proved to be a challenge for the kitchen crew. Despite the reservation, it took about 45 minutes to get our first appetizer. The crawfish etouffe was on the bland side but the fried catfish and shrimp was perfect and creole pasta was very tasty.
2 hour wait for average food. Told midway (after about an hour wait) that there wasn’t *rice* left. Sorry but this is just terrible planning. If you add to this that welcome and service were a bit stiff from the beginning, then you can conclude that we were quite disappointed and had a not-so-great experience.
Food was Average to mediocre, and the service was rather slow. However, it was Christmas Eve and it seemed that they were under-staffed. Maybe some people did not show up for the holiday?
Our server was great. The food took quite a bit of time & the seafood was overcooked.
Arrived and got a table. Short staffed. Saw waitress once to greet us and once to bring bill. Food served by another waiter. Food bland. Ordered shrimp and grits waiter told me it's better with salt and pepper. Had a Groupon so price was okay. Lots of issues as the table next to us and around us were not happy. Would not go back. Better places to eat.
