Nates has awesome, delicious food. New ownership has improved and refreshed the bar and dining room nicely. Staff is always friendly. Only down side is that the ceiling is low so sound bounced back and results a very loud place with just a few customers inside. You can’t hear conversation at your own table and it is difficult to even think at times because it gets so loud. Unfortunately , it is due to the structure of the building and nothing can be done to fix that.

Food was really good. Seems to be a fav place for locals and families. All sides are a la carte which we found to be a little on the expensive side ($2.99 for a small bowl of mashed potatoes that arrived cold). Overall the food was good, not fancy, but a great choice for the West End.

Limited wait staff. Waited 20 minutes before waiter asked if we had been helped??? Had to ask for our waters twice. Totally disorganized operation. Bar patrons were the primary focus of staff. Watched several incoming patrons walk out after waiting several minutes for hostess to seat them. Then after 7pm hostess started turning customers away. Food was mediocre at best. Salads came out with the entrees. Waiter never checked on us while I watched her check on her other tables. Ridiculous! There’s several other restaurant choices within 2 miles which I strongly recommend.

Very friendly made reservations which is needed on weekends. They had our table ready and service was good until dinner came and we had no silverware. Had to wait for a few minutes for them to bring them Food was good and portions were more than enough

Really enjoyed our meal. Service was friendly and great. Food exceeded expectations. Make sure to save room for dessert!
