The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers contemporary Creole cuisine with New Orleans classics like Seafood Gumbo, Turtle soup, Shrimp & Grits and Wood Grilled Pork Chop while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks and appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer Seance and The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's top bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan; it's the perfect spot for an intimate conversation or a drink among its plush surroundings. The 170 foot wrap-around balcony is a splendid spot for enjoying our specialty cocktails or our extensive wine list featuring over 300 selections from around the world.

    The food was fantastic,as usual. The ambience is always nice, very spooky when looking about upstairs. The service was excellent. Of course, overall it is a little pricey, but you know that going in so it is expected. The music at the jazz branch was just right.

    Everything was really good. It was a little loud because of a bigger party. It that didn’t effect our time. The service was really good too!

    We had a great experience. The bread pudding was the highlight of our meal. I had a vampire kiss martini and it was fantastic. The old world charm set the mood and after dinner we went up to the balcony. We had a quiet moment with our coffees overlooking Jackson Square. I took the opportunity to propose to my boyfriend. (HE SAID YES). We will definitely come back for at least drinks and dessert. We definitely felt the ghosts presence upstairs and they seemed to approve of our proposal.

    Quaint and unpretentious. One of our favorites in New Orleans. Would recommend Muriel’s to anyone wanting leisurely dining with friends.

    Great food and great service. I’m gluten free and they have lots of items that either are gluten free or can be made GF. Our waitress was superb. Highly recommended this restaurant (and they have a ghost!)

    We went for jazz brunch on a Sunday and it was amazing. The service was perfectly timed, the food was excellent, and the live jazz band capped off the experience. We will definitely be returning here.
