We came here for my sister's birthday, and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. It's a little pricey, but it is such a fun vibe. I strongly recommend the black ink noodles and the crispy beef.

I came with my sister on Saturday night at 6. The food was unbelievable. We had chicken satay and soup dumplings to start, followed by fiery beef and salt and pepper fried lobster. It was family style and we also had veggie rice and string beans. I could not find one fault with the food. Everything was served and presented beautifully and accompanied by the most wonderful sauces. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place was. Fully recommend.

Never disappoints. Mr. Chow is one of out few go-to restaurants in Bev Hills. The food is unique and delicious. Drinks are well made, desserts are delicious and the service is beyond fantastic. The hostesses are lovely, welcoming and accommodating. I give Mr Chow Five Stars

This place was an amazing experience for my wife and I for our anniversary. The service when you walk in makes you feel like a star. They food and drinks were spectacular and the server recommended the best options on the menu.

Pricey but good food, great service and open for late night dining. Don’t come here if you think chinese food in general shouldn’t exceed $20-25 per dish -Most items including appetizers on menu do. Personally the duck is very good and I like the unique crispy beef entre.

So, Mr Chow’s restaurant is a complicated place to review. On one hand, the food is excellent. I really enjoyed the duck (though a little dry), the drunken fish, the green shrimp, and the honey walnut shrimp were really good. How we some dishes such as the mixed vegetables, Mr Chows noodles, and the chicken dishes didn’t quite hit the mark. Also, the staff is always trying to upsell you something, which get really annoying and will probably lead to you spending much more that you want for a meal. Which brings me to my conclusion. Some say Mr Chow is over rated, and I understand why people say that and I sort of agree. Not that the food isn’t good, but I could find equal quality for half the price in many places. Also, I’m not impressed by how the restaurant is decorated, and hate that all tables are crammed together. It was so hard to move around and get in and out that it affected our experience. Overall, it’s a great place to eat with lots of celebrities (we saw one of the members of Earth Wind and Fire on Mothers Day) and people watching, but only for very special occasions.

I read the reviews prior to coming for dinner and they were hit and miss. I was skeptical but kept the reservation because my boyfriend and I wanted to try for ourselves. This definitely isn’t “fine dining” food but definitely IS fine dining prices. All the food was fine to mediocre. Nothing blew us away in the slightest and our bill was nearly $300. The ambience was a bit run down and the music was not good/what you would want from a “fine dining establishment.” I’m glad I tried for myself but I have to agree with the negative reviews that this is restaurant is definitely not worth the money or frankly time/experience when there are many other great restaurants in the area

Our last night in Beverly Hills we wanted Chinese food, we found Mr Chows and we were so glad we did. We ordered Mr Chows noodles, crispy beef, shrimp fried rice and lamb shank. Everything was awesome and so delicious. The portion sizes at first appeared small but they were not for 2 people to share and leave full. We absolutely loved the Mr Chows noodles and next time we are in Beverly Hills we will be revisting this restaurant and order 2 dishes of the noodles so we don't have to share. They give you spicy sauce on the side to add to the noodles so the heat can be controlled by your taste which I love because my daughter and I have different heat levels. Excellent.

I would never go back--not in a million years, not if you paid me. This is a "family style" restaurant, and yet the portions are minuscule, the prices outrageous, and the food bad to mediocre. They served the worst noodles I've ever eaten in my life. There was no beef in the $58 "crispy beef"--it was all just crispy. If you didn't add the special sauce to the food, it had zero taste. Bland would be an understatement until later on, when some of the dishes were too salty. The veggies (bok choy and string beans) and the green prawns were the only dishes I'd eat again, but I wouldn't go back in a million years--not if you paid me--so I won't be eating those again either. I can't believe this restaurant is still in business. It is so dated. There are many wonderful expensive restaurants from which to choose in LA. Why would anyone choose Chow?!

The attentiveness of the severs was impeccable; by far the best part of our experience. We also loved the music selection and lively atmosphere. The Dine LA menu offerings allowed us to sample a variety of small plates and develop a palette for Mr. Chow’s cuisine. The only sour notes were that a number of Patrons kept staring at us and making us feel uncomfortable. Possibly because of our race gender and socioeconomic status. Additionally my guest mentioned that she was underwhelmed by the overall decor and worn-out condition of the seating/furniture.

It's become hard to find high quality Chinese food (combined with an elegant environment and professional service) here in LA. Mr. Chow has all of that and more. Sure, it's an institution, been around for a long time. But it feels new, the food , the service and the whole experience is high calibre.

Food was very bland, with little flavor. Of the 4 mains and 4 starters only 2 dishes were to the quality you would expect for the prices paid. Place was jam packed - seating is basically on top of each other. Seems the goal heat is to jam as many people into the place as you can. Overpriced and overrated Far from expectations.
