Morton's The Steakhouse - Sacramento
Filet Mignon Trio
Saw 2 gnat-like insects on my table. Killed one. Waitress forgot to put in our desert order and initially took about 15 min for anyone to come to our table with menus/water etc. I do appreciate they were able to make simple mac and cheese thought it was not on their menu.
Everything here is good. Literally. The prices are high. My check was approx 220 for two people. We brought our own wine and paid the 35 dollar corkage fee.
Porkchops were 37 dollars, plus the side dish.
They have a great wine list but you are paying a HIGH markup.
I'm used to getting amazing service but the young kid that served us was not warm or welcoming.
It's a great place to impress someone... and the food is really good.
Our server, Irving, was phenomenal. He made our experience so much more enjoyable than we even expected.
Food and service were good. Disappointed with limited menu
The lobster was so small, the last times were at least twice the size of this time. Not sure what happened?
Fantastic service! From the manager to the wait staff to the kitchens.
Have been several times. Not sure if service was lacking or lackluster due to social distancing requirements but definitely not what I'm use to. Water glasses weren't filled and when asked took a while.
Appetizer plates were left on table making it hard to place our dinner plates. No one cleared the table.
If I hadn't had exceptional service in the last this wouldn't be an issue worth noting
Ordered a filet mignon Oscar style, the hollandaise was lacking in flavor and didn't seem fresh. The crab was dry and cold. Over cooked my husband's steak, brought it to their attention and it was fixed. Server never checked in on us outside if calling them over about his steak.
Disappointed in the service and them missing the mark with the Oscar style steak.
We also had asparagus that was delicious! As we're the bacon wrapped scallops- perfection!
steak was overcooked and grilled asparagus was dry
Morton's is always a great place to celebrate you r special times. The food was great along with great service and an eye for detail. we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Morton's and left with great satisfaction.
Food was great. Our server, Maricella, was engaging and very attentive. It felt safe in a pandemic
Food was delicious, My Husband got the Cajun Rib Eye and he loves Ribeye and he said this was the best Ribeye he's ever tasted. Appetizers were also amazing we had the scallops and they were so delicate & delicous. Waitress was very helpful and she suggested entrees. Will definitly be going more often.
We showed up early and was sat right away. My boyfriend has never been to Morton’s before and he was excited for the experience and I knew his mind would be blown every was perfect.
The waiter was excellent even with the Covid protocol the spacing was adequate in the dining area of the masking didn’t affect our experience at all and overall will be back every two weeks from now on
Steak was delicous and service was excellent... glad to be back.
Excellent food and service as usual. We enjoyed our Anniversary dinner.
It was amazing!
The best steak !
Waiters are very attentive/polite!!!
Morton's is usually stellar but they are having some tough reopening/growing pains. The service was underwhelming to poor. Food was good but not great. Price was intense. I might try again but not for some time.
WE were very happy with the service. We felt safe with all staff wearing gloves and masks. All guests were spaced out appropriately. Wonderful experience for the first time eating out at a restaurant since the pandemic has begun. Thank you Morton’s.
Great service as always. Food was amazing!!
As always, this is the best restaurant in Sacramento. We were so happy they were open for biz and we were thrilled to death to actually be eating inside of a restaurant.
The food and especially the waiter was superb. We had such an enjoyable dinner. We make it a point to eat there whenever we are in Sacramento.
Thank you the amazing management who went out of there way for everyone Saturday night....
Always enjoyable. Great food, great service. Definitely a must go!
Server was great. Great service, great eating experience.
Second day of back to dinning from Pandemic couldn’t wait to get out. The food was great as usual and the service was superb.
I love Morton’s and eat at a Morton’s when ever I can.
This one was not in the usual top league I normally expect.
My table was cold and drafty with a busy corridor behind me.
Steak was good, but not as hot as I expect, a bit raw and only average.
Service was ok, but not as good as all the other Morton’s I have eaten at.
I have another reservation for this Friday that I may cancel.
I expect only the best at Morton’s
Yikes. I can't believe I am about to give Morton's, the flagship American Steakhouse a mediocre review. But.... I am.
Freely admit I have very high expectations for a trip to Morton's. I know going in that I am about to pay a handsome sum for a single meal but I do so excited as Morton's should deliver at every level. But alas...
First, the service. Our server was very cordial and friendly. She simply lacked the level of professionalism I expect from a meal of this expense. The apps came out and we had to request sharing plates. Then we had to wait for drinks to arrive. Timing throughout the meal was clunky at best.
Apps and salad were beautiful but my wedge had no salt and the heirloom tomatoes were out of season and too bland to be served. We had crabcakes that were wonderful. Nothing but good things to say there. The ahi tuna was a fun recipe but a cheap cut of ahi. It lacked the deep rich taste of good ahi and the kitchen was heavy handed with the sesame oil.
Skipping to the side, the creamed spinach was good, not special but just fine.
Now the steak: wow... just Wow. As always, Morton's delivered a wonderful steak cooked perfectly to order. The problem is that I expect Morton's to have a heavenly steak ( As they did ).
Cap all of that with a messy bathroom that had towels across the floor and we simply had a mediocre meal to the tune of 400 big ones. Did they do anything specifically wrong or egregious, no. Was our server friendly, welcoming, and did our food arrive as requested, yes. I can get all of that at the "Roadhouse" place.
This is Morton's of Chicago. It should be a lock, a bullet proof choice for a memorable fine dining experience. Management at this location is simply not training staff well enough nor monitoring the quality of ingredients closely enough to justify the price nor the reputation. Not my first trip to Morton's and may not be my last, but I will not be returning to this location. Sorry Sacramento, this was a fail.
Menu selection for the food was great, food was decent, service was horrible. Felt like the waiter could care less if we were there or not and certainly was also how we were treated. Reservation was a at 5pm so it was not even busy. Drinks took a while to get, the steak was under cooked, ordered simple deserts and after waiting a long time decided to cancel them through another waiter cause ours was no where to be found. The manager was kind to bring it out to us in a bag so we could take it home. Never even saw our waiter after we ordered our desert. Too bad. Although we may not be a big eaters in food for a big food bill, I am a big tipper and even more so if the service is good and treated kindly and as if we exist as customers there.
My name is Brittany, I had such an amazing experience! I celebrated my 30th bday, and as a first timer it couldn’t have been any better! Our waiter was so amazing. He made sure we were well taken care of. I will definitely be coming back.
Over priced! It’s a lot of places in Sacramento to get great seafood and steak with the same quality and level of service. I can spend $200 at Morton’s or $80 at Station 16.
Romantic and delicious!
Excellent customer service and food. Hard to beet Morton’s, it’s always be counted on the be good.
Best server - Boris. He was so fun, engaging and attentive! Food: PHENOMENAL!
We go to Mortons to celebrate special life events. Our latest was to celebrate my wifes 50th. Every time we do this they always personalize our visit. The attention to both personal and dining detail makes our experience amazing.
Always good when we can dine at Mortons. Ask for specials!
The service and food is always excellent, it's a good experience. We would certainly go more often if we could afford to but I usually take advantage of their special dinner for 2 when available.
Randy was our server and he was amazing. He made a simple night out on Friday very memorable and special.
42oz porter house was amazing.
Excellent food, service and ambience. We have been coming to this wonderful place for 10+ years and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended!
My husband and I ordered the crabcake and lobster bisque to start our meal which were outstanding! We were a little surprised though when only one crabcake showed up on the plate. I had the Wagyu “gold Manhattan” steak and my husband had a ribeye. They were cooked perfectly and extremely tender. Our sides were the Mexican street corn and sour cream mashed potatoes which were very good also. I had ordered the golden pineapple martini which was very flavorful but when it came time to order dessert nothing really stood out to us so we went ahead and skipped it. Overall very pleased with our meal and Randy, our server, was absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable about the entire menu!
1st timers and everything was elegant! Server was pleasant and the food was amazing. Everything was perfect until the food came and the runner gave our food opposite from how we ordered. Half way thru our steaks we realized we were eating each other’s food. We switched but didn’t expect that! Morton’s gave a dessert on the house to make up for it! Overall, good experience. Might return at later date to try again! The bacon wrapped scallops are to die for!!
