Morton's The Steakhouse - Sacramento

It was my husbands first time at Morton’s so I was excited to share the experience with him. We were seating promptly in a booth, which was great. It was very clean including the floor which is always nice. The lighting was a bit to low, but that is just my personal opinion. We ordered the cold seafood selection, salad, steak and asparagus. It came really quick, which o was hoping it would take a bit longer so I could enjoy my wine, but Again that’s my personal preference.
I felt the cold seafood wasn’t a good value for the price. It came with 1 oyster, a little bit of crab and lobster. I thought there would just be more and wished I had ordered something substantial or had that as an appetizer.
My husbands steak was divine! Perfectly cooked and delicious.
Our waiter brought over some chocolate mousse for dessert which was unexpected and delightful.
I opted to sign up for the Landry’s card as I am a frequent visitor to their restaurants and never took the time to sign up. There was some confusion on when the $25 credit would be applied, which was unfortunate, but just a lesson for our waiter to learn for the future.
Overall everything was great and we will return, especially for the steaks!
The food an ambiance were fabulous! We had great service and would definitely recommend this Morton's to others!
food was prepared perfectly. service was spot on. Valet had car waiting for us when we walked out.
The food is amazing as always. I had steak and lobster with baked potato and berries and Cream.
Consistently great food and service.
I’ve grown up going to Morton’s Steakhouses and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. My martini was watery. The food was mediocre: our ahi tuna starter was frozen in the middle, our steaks and vegetables were room temperature when they got to our table. The presentation was disappointing on top of it. I also ordered the Inglenook Cabernet and didn’t realize there were two on their extensive, somewhat confusing wine menu. The manager brought the wine, never clarified about which one I wanted and proceeded to pour. When we got the bill, I realized I had been charged for a $175 bottle, when I had ordered a $75 bottle. When I disputed the charge, the manager eventually came over, and rudely informed me that he credited me and told me “next time, double check the bottle” and proceeded to inform me that I “got a good deal”. Very disappointed with this Morton’s. Spent $400 and totally not worth it.
Always a great dining experience. The food and service never disappoints.
New Year’s Eve. It was unfortunate the steaks were overdone on the outside and extremely rare in the center. I struggled to find a wine I liked but we did enjoy most of the sides and the carrot cake. I think for the amount we paid, I do expect a better steak. I didn’t want to make a scene on NYE so we just ate what was tolerable of the steak and kept the evening light and drama free. But I think on any other night I’d had sent it back.
Great experience from initial contact with the hostess and all during dinner. Wait staff and manager very friendly and Persia
Great as always.
It has long been our family tradition to go out to dinner on Christmas day. since we now live in the Sierra Foothills we decided to go to Sacramento this year.
Our dinner was wonderful. The food was perfect. We had the special; a filet mignon with lobster. We added the smoked Gouda and bacon scalloped potatoes that were to die for.
Our waiter Greg provided excellent service, taking special care to open and decant our '97 Silver Oak Cabernet.
We definitely plan on returning.
They were excellent about accommodating me for a vegan meal
Our waiter poured regular water in Pellegrino and did not ask for water refills and did not validate valet ticket. Just wasn’t attentive as I would have expected.
Disappointed that our menus did not reflect my birthday and no picture like in the past
Service was outstanding! Food was delicious! I will definitely be going back.
I took my staff here for an appreciation dinner. The staff was awesome, the food we ordered, lobster mac-n-cheese, prime rib, prim chop, lobster tail and the veggies were excellent. Everything was fresh, hot, and very reasonably priced. I will be a return customer.
Thank Morton's for a great eating experience!
Delicious special for Thanksgiving
The food was very good. Our server Victoria is very personable and attentive but did not hover.
Wonder restaurant, food and staff!
Great night out on a busy holiday evening!
Great food. We were put in the corner table by the door and it was very cold. In addition we were very unhappy with our server. He was not very we had to ask for bread and were never asked if we wanted dessert. Not good for my first experience there.
Thanksgiving meal was outstanding. On ambiance I marked a 4/5 because it’s a little too dark in the place. You guys are the best restaurant in Sacramento and never disappoint.
Overall fantastic experience. My only criticism would be that one of our sides, lobster mac & cheese, was cold upon arrival to the table.
Food was great excellent customer service
Our hostess Ali was awesome.
The service was less than stellar. I have been many times and one of my favorite things about Morton is the service. The food however was excellent and usual. The bar drinks were not as good as they normally are. A little disappointed.
Amazing experience as usual.
pleasant waitress but not good service. food was good but the soufle was not. too much orange peel strips versus regular zest for the taste and scent. not the same experience since Mortens was bought. not worth the $ by any stretch. hard to believe you have to ask for whipped cream now with soufle, and then to be served a spoon full of off the shelf. sat us in the overflow room alone even though the dining room was 2/3 empty. overall, not a good experience and will be a long time if I ever for me to return.
Ruth Chris at the Pavilions is the best lunch ever on Friday’s. I go there at least a month, and it is always great. I do not know what is better, the food or service. Definitely a five star!!!!!!
Outstanding service, food and ambience. Been coming here for yeas!
We had a nice dinner
Service was excellent
Cajun ribeye, easily one of the best steams I’ve ever had.
The service was fantastic and we loved the meal.
Everything was perfect. Our waiter Randy was outstanding, the food was incredible, the timing in between courses was perfect. This will be our once a month special dinner from here on.
Steaks are always cooked to your liking. Service is impeccable. Our waiter, Randy, has a positive personality and spoils us. He is the epitome of how people in service industry should treat guests/customers. Their cocktails are superb, as well as extensive wine collection.
A favorite menu item (shoestring fries) has been changed to regular fries but the menu listing has not changed. Disappointing result. Also, given the cost to eat at Morton’s, it is frustrating to see male customers come in wearing t-shirts, shorts, and baseball caps (kept on during the meals). Nice if a basic dress code was in place.
Excellent Food and Excellent Service. Treated us special for our 39th Wedding Anniversary.
I don't take the time to read too many reviews, so I doubt many people will read mine. Suffice it to say that I have never had such bad service in a restaurant, let alone a Morton's!
Dinner dragged on for over two hours. This was not your two hour romantic dinner where the waiter is checking on you to see if you need anything, or if you need a refill. No, this was two hours of wondering if you would ever see the guy again! We were going to get dessert, but when it took literally ten minutes for the waiter to return after he had given us a dessert menu, we know we would have been there another 30 minutes minimum.
We honestly received better service from the waiter from another section, who was kind enough to refill our drinks and bring out our food. I am serious. He was even so gracious as to make excuses for his friend, explaining that they were also covering the bar. On my way out, I confirmed that there was NOT ONE person in the bar.
There are too many other restaurants in Sacramento. Hell, there is a great Ruth's Chris! I will never go to this Morton's again. I will also relate the service that awaits any potential associates who ask.
