The filet mignon was absolutely delicious! The bread was good as well. The service was top notch! I thoroughly enjoyed the Morton’s sundae. The best I’ve had!
My wife and I have a wonderful three year anniversary at Morton’s Anaheim.
Had a conference in Anaheim, and it happened to be during my son‘s 18th birthday. So I brought my 18-year-old son and one of his friends and we went to celebrate his birthday dinner the night before his birthday at Morton’s. Lucky them, they spent the next two days at Disneyland while I attended as my conference. Anyway, he loves steak, so I thought Morton’s would be great. It’s a beautiful restaurant, and the staff is lovely. He was so impressed that our menu had “Happy 18th Birthday Scott” on the top. They also took a picture of us (and it turned out great!) and gave us a printed copy with a card. Super classy!!
It took a long time to get my drink. Our excellent waiter, Chad, said the bar was really busy, but it took much longer than even that. We ordered a Caesar salad as an appetizer, saying we were going to split it between two out of the three people in our party. It was very nice of Chad to have the kitchen make it a little bigger, so that we could split it three ways. We all really appreciated that, and the salad was delicious!!
I ordered the miso sea bass, thinking it would be healthier than a steak. It was healthier, but it was WAY too salty. My son ordered the filet mignon with shrimp and bacon-wrapped scallops, and absolutely loved it. His friend ordered the rib-eye, and also loved it. We ordered the lobster macaroni and cheese as a side, and it was very disappointing. It was salty and it just didn’t have a lot of other flavor. So disappointing!
The waiter brought Scott a Lemon Soufflé for dessert. Again, a very nice touch.
It wa an expensive night. After reflecting on the pros and cons, I think overall, it was worth it. My son really enjoyed his 18th birthday dinner.
Nice Birthday Dinner
In a word - fantastic! We were in the area for a convention and decided to try Morton's since it was a short walk to our hotel. It was the best decision we made on the whole trip. Everyone at Morton's was so accommodating and went out of their way to make you feel special. Jessica, our waitress couldn't have been any nicer and she was very helpful with her meal suggestions. My filet Oscar was exceptional and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her chopped salad and lobster cocktail. The dining room had subdued lighting and great background music which made for a romantic and special evening. By far, this was the best meal and overall experience we had during the 4 days we were in the area. We enjoyed it so much that we returned to the lounge the following evening (after a rather disappointing meal at another nearby steak house) for refreshment and atmosphere - everyone greeted us warmly that night also. We loved Mortons!
Great food and excellent service. The privately room made the evening even better.
To celebrate my birthday. Requested a booth and got it. Also had custom souvenir menus. Also, had a free dessert.
Food is great but overpriced Especially the wine.
Great service, great food and great wine.
The food was delicious, the service was outstanding. A little pricy!
Morton’s had an off night when we were there. My husband got fries that were cold (we did send those back). My salmon was undercooked based off n how was ordered it and was also not hot enough. I was disappointed. My wine was good as well as my scallop appetizer and husband’s tuna tacos $260 total cost
Anniversary...Drinks & Food Bon Appetite ♥️
Tired of the constant attempt to upsell. Feels like your in a car dealership finance department rather than a pleasant night out.
Loved the entire service and food 😍
The service at this Morton's continues to decline. We have been dining at this establishment over the last 6- 8 years at least two to three times per year. Landry's buyout of this chain has not done it any favors. Slow service, missed opportunities for alcohol sales, and no real sense of desire to delight the customer.
Waiter forgot an appetizer that was ordered. We ordered three porterhouse steaks medium rare. One was really bloody, one was rare and the other one was just right.
Oh heads up on the garlic butter.
$21 for garlic butter we didn’t even use.
Honestly, I can cook a better steak.
Morton's just not what it use to be. Better places for steak & wine... This was last try...
Went here last night for my anniversary. The noise level was at at 10. We were seated near the kitchen. Me and my fiance were dressed up for an upscale dinning experience but everyone else in attendance was dressed for Olive Garden. The severs (Jason) were extremely rude to us and barely came to our table to check on us. We ordered the Salmon, lobster mac n cheese, baked potato, and the pork chops. It was excellent! in total our bill came out to $124. It was well worth it however the overall experience sucked. I don't foresee going back to Morton's in the near future.
It’s a steak house and the steaks were just ok, nothing special. I’ve had better steaks at other restaurants for much less $. The waitress wasn’t friendly, and the food took a while to be served, nothing really good to say about this restaurant.
My Husbands birthday dinner! He had seafood and his was great! I had Filet and it was tough did not have good seasoning and was very disappointed with it.
Excellent service from everyone, including the valet, hostess, bartender, chef, manager and the wait staff. The chef went out of his way, on his own, to make up something special for our 5 year old daughter. Expensive, but one of the best meals I've had.
from the appetizer to the main dish , steak of course every thing was delicious. please don't forget about the dessert there they are just as good.
The brussel sprouts were too hard. The filet mignon, while good, was not worth the cost. The lava cake was good, but not amazing. The bread was excellent. The wine was very good. The portion size was better than expected. The service was impeccable. The tables were too packed together and it was nosier than was acceptable. The overall experience was good, but for a $260 meal for two, I expect everything to be exceptional. I will not be coming back, not at these inflated prices.
I always wanted to try Morton's Steakhouse and I spared no expense to ensure I got the full experience. I know now that Mortons is nothing more than a name and with a big price tag. I will not confuse expensive dining for fine dining ever again.
Excellent food and service just a little to dark... low light, but everything was delicious.
Delicious as always. The Fred Flinstone bone in French cut rib eye steak was amazing. Fun waiter too.
The food was way overpriced!
We order the jumbo lump crab cake as an appetizer, it was approximately 2 inches in circumference, maybe three-quarter inch tall. For it to be listed as an jumbo lump crab cake we both had one bite. Way overpriced $22
We went with the recommendation of our waiter, and my boyfriend ordered the Tomahawk steak. When the Steak arrived to the table there was an 18 inch bone protruding from the steak.
I've never seen anything like that before. The price of the Tomahawk was not on the menu. We were charged $110 for that steak.
Overrated to say the least!
My entrée was the 6 ounce filet mignon with 2 bacon wrapped scallops which consisted of two scallops and 3 shrimp Alexander.
The shrimp were extremely small.
My dinner was mediocre. Steak lacked flavor. We shared a vegetable for two and also a chop salad. We did not drink wine or any alcoholic beverage.
Dinner cost $244.
For us to be having dinner in Anaheim at Morton's steakhouse we were completely let down.
We dine all over Los Angeles, frankly all over the world and we compare restaurants by there ambiance, the quality of the food, the level of service and were let down after are Visit to Morton's.
Had a great time celebrating my Mom’s birthday!
Great wait staff and good cocktails. They're know for the steaks, but i felt the steaks were only ok. If you're going to spend $50 plus for a steak (all a la cart) it better be worth it and i didn't feel it was. It's solid, but I'd rather go to a Ruth's Chris or something similar.
Anniversary dinner was perfect ! The special attention with the anniversary menu and pictures was very nice!
We were very excited to try out Morton’s for my husband ‘s birthday. Pros: Valet service was prompt and friendly, despite a very crowded parking lot. Valet charge was $6 and there didn’t appear to be much, if any self parking. Reception desk was friendly and efficient. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was excellent. Cons: Dining room was packed and tables were extremely close together. Noise level was loud and it was difficult to converse at our table over all the noise, not to mention feeling like we were in each other’s space with the neighboring table so close. Service was very slow and not that attentive much of the time. Overall, it was very disappointing experience for a very expensive meal. I would not recommend Morton’s or go there again.
We ended up in a private dining room for 8. I don’t recommend it. It was like they forgot about us. Everything took for ever; food and drinks. Food quality and flavor is consistently good.
We enjoyed our evening as a family. Our waiter was outstanding! Chris made the evening and had my adult daughters laughing and enjoying themselves.
We will be back to hopefully have Chris as our server, once again.
It was a great birthday. Thank you!
The service was fantastic and Enrico made the experience great.
This place never disappoints. Spectacular service and great food always.
He ido a varios Morton's....primera vez que me pasa que la comida este mas o menos.
Por lo general son garantia de muy buena comida!
Muy buena cena y ambiente
Service was a little slow and my steak was a little over cooked. The ambiance was good, though and the value was okay, but not great. I rated it 4 star, but it was probably between a 3 and a 4 really.
Thanks for a great experience & great service!
Dinner for two before a concert. We had the miso fish and a filet for main course, The salad with the mustard dressing and chilled seafood platter for appetizers, spinach and mushrooms for sides, and the chocolate mousse for dessert. Drinks: house gin martini, tanqueray martini w blue cheese olives, and the summer sangria.
Every thing was tasty. Some tweaks could have helped to make it perfect!
Here’s what was great: the salad, the STEAK WAS PERFECTLY COOKED, and the tanqueray martini
Here’s what was near perfect: The fish was perfectly cooked and DELICIOUS but just a tad salty for any one who doesn’t do much salt... I, myself, love salt! The sautéed spinach and mushrooms were not seasoned much So I took the spinach and added it to my miso broth and it became perfect!!!! The chocolate mousse was a lil too sweet; Make it with dark chocolate and it would also be perfect! Don’t do the house gin martini because it did taste too watery..... unfortunately.
All in all, great experience!
Ps—— who doesn’t love the crispy onion bread!
Great!!!! Always a super time, cant say enough of service and food! The best.
We came here for a family dinner and things started off well. Our server, Luis, was very friendly and helpful. We ordered a wine which they were out of and suggested another comparable (cost was higher, but we weren't informed of this). Our salads and soup came and were good. The problem occurred when the entrees arrived. My husband and daughter had ordered medium rare filets and I ordered medium. The medium rare steaks were medium well. My medium was well done. There was not a bit of juice to any of the steaks. They were tough and rubbery. The scallops with my husbands were burned. Not just browned, but charred. We were surprised they would even bring these to the table! The Shrimp Alexander with my entree was....just awful. Raw pasty breading that was white. No browning color at all on these "fried" shrimp. They did offer to re-cook my steak, and did, but the second was just as terrible as the first and my whole plate went back minus one bite of steak and one bite of shrimp. They credited my steak, but nothing for my husband or daughter. The baked potatoes were lukewarm and hard. We did order over $300 of wine, and the check total $580. There was also a great amount of chaos and yelling in the kitchen where we were seated directly in front of. On phoning Lisa, the manager, the next day I asked about the arguments and chaos in the kitchen. Apparently there was a banquet going on. Perhaps this is why our steaks were such poor quality as they were a sideline. I honestly felt the steaks were pre-cooked and re-heated. Lisa offered for us to come in for a $50 credit towards another meal. Frankly, we felt this fell quite a bit short. Our Uber ride was $48 there and back. It is hardly worth coming in for that. We were told next time we come in (if we are in Anaheim again), we can come for a $50 credit. Since we don't live in the area, a credit to our account or gift card would have been appropriate, but Lisa declined these options.
