   Such a disappointment. Why ask how we would like our meat cooked and then over cook it so it is inedible . Expensive average food.

   The food was good quality but the service was lacking drastically. We had a 7:30 reservation and got our food at about 9pm. We were never offered or asked for refills on drinks, water or wine. Server did a poor job making any sort of recommendations. Would have gladly spent more money if the service was better.

   Food and service were great. I had linguine. Waiter asked if I wanted to add shrimp or chicken. I asked how much MORE it would cost over the $39 for the linguine. He said it would be an additional $39 for shrimp and additional $30 for one chicken breast. If you can get it, do it. My last time at Morgan’s. 😞

    We were a little hesitant to go to Morgan's on Mother's Day thinking that it might be overpriced, stuffy, and not very good food. Boy were we wrong! My wife wanted a certain table along the windows but the hostess told us it was reserved and sat us at a table next to the one we wanted along the wall with no view. Michael, our waiter, overheard the exchange and immediately went into action and sat us at the table we had requested. He made recommendations for plates that were absolutely delicious. The wine we ordered was not in stock but Michael suggested an alternative that was less expensive and wonderful. We had a special Mother's Day dinner in a place we almost ignored. Now, we consider this a gem in La Quinta that will be a regular place for special occasions. And, yes it was pricey but worth every penny.

    Great option for Mother’s Day celebration. Chef Reyes execution was superb from beginning to end. Filet mignon was cooked to perfection. His interpretation of carpaccio is amazing. All the desserts were to die for. You can’t choose just one. The service provided by Salvador Moreno and Joshua Pimentel, where outstanding. Then entire experience was unforgettable and just the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day. Highly recommend Morgan’s 1926.

    Located alongside the lobby lounge, we enjoyed the live music throughout our evening. The patio dining offered entertaining views of the prom & wedding fashions. Our waiter was delightful and spot on as were his helpers. Our cocktails were delicious and perfect! Shared the generous carpaccio to start. Pork chop juicy and amazing, fillet w/fries did not disappoint. Can't remember dessert & too full to finish it. Not a cheap date but all in all a lovely date night spot and a visit to this historic inn is worth the visit.

    Although nervous given some recent reviews, I decided to celebrate a friend's birthday with a party of six. Despite the high corkage fee, we brought our own wine, and they were kind enough to only charge us for two. Uncorking and glass service strongly suggest they prefer you did not bring your own. Salads were well done although the special was a bit harsh due to excessive lemon. The table ordered Lamb, Pork Chops, Sea Bass and a Filet, all of which were fantastic and very well done. For sides, the Asparagus and Truffle Fries were excellent, but we felt the Mac and Cheese was bland and boring. Desserts were refreshing and light, so I am pleased to say it was a great night and the food quality was as I recalled it from years before. Service was good overall thanks to the wait staff more than our server who was absent for most of the meal. They may have lost the magic over the last few years, but this visit was like old times. Expensive but worth it!

    This was a business dinner for 4 people. We arrived a few minutes early and we were seated promptly. Unfortunately, we had requested a table outside in the rear patio. At dinner time it was 104 in the shade. The service was exemplary and the food items were very good. My salmon entree was cooked to perfection. Overall it’s a very good menu. The wine list is outstanding, featuring Pierre Seillan’s Vérité and Anakota wines, among other very good foreign and domestic wines. Our only “complaint” is that the outdoor dining at this time of year requires a liberal use of “misters”, which were not in use during our time there.

    Ambiance of the restaurant is lovely. Very overpriced for what you get. I had the Meyer lemon linguine and it was flavorless and gummy. Endive salad for $24 was ridiculously small.
