Waitress was very pleasant and I loved the live band! Food and drinks were great and we came for happy hour so the price was great. Really enjoyed my experience!

Great food with unique creative offerings.
Great Maitai. Great Beer & wine selection with good variety. Fantastic appetizers & salads~very tough to even make a choice. Pizzas small, expensive...but “killer” great! My wife had the Mahi-mahi fish burger and truffle parmigiana fries-truly tasty & “Amazing”. Dessert just ok (chocolate cream pie=>coconut cream pie looked much better). But they had Maui French press coffee that compensated for the pie with the tough cardboard crust & so-so chocolate pudding with Ready whip squirted on top.

This was our third visit to MonkeyPod, and the first this trip to Maui. The food was still really excellent - flavorful and fresh, and the service was friendly but not as attentive as it possibly could have been. The drinks menu is still a little bare from a cocktails perspective, but they were more than willing to swap out vodka for the gin in a drink that otherwise interested me, and it was good. The only real negative here is that it is a little TOO loud. I was dining with my older mother, and it was difficult for us to have a conversation. The even older couple seated next to us couldn't attempt to speak to each other unless it was a break between songs by the guitarist. Otherwise, this is pretty good food and a fun place.

This was our 2nd trip to the Ka'anapali location. Pizza was ok, had the Margherita, but combo of sauce and fresh tomatoes was too much for the thin crust which was soggy in the middle. Also pointed out to mgr that bus person was wiping tables with used diners napkins as well as we hope was a fresher sanitizer cloth before new napkins and silver ware were set for next diners, don't believe that's wise or meets health standards. He did speak to the bus person after we mentioned it.

Food was good, there my tires are exceptionally good. Noise level is very high if you’re in the main dining area. Cost of food it’s a bit on the high side.

I hate to tell you how much we love the Monkeypod happy hour because then you will all come and we won't get a table. Our favorites are 1/2 off appetizers - lobster deviled eggs, pot stickers, corn chowder and pumpkin ravioli. The food is 6 stars out of 5 and the atmosphere is fabulous. Enough said.

This is one of our favorite restaurants on Maui. Been every year we come, it’s a must for us. Food is great. Apps are the best. Poke Tacos and Lobster Deviled eggs are our favorite. Good ambience, a little noisy if you’re looking for a quiet date night. Good for families. Live music usually. Big drink selection. If you’re on Maui you must try this place. Locations in Kaanapali and Kihei. Easy to get reservations.

Your restaurant was recommended to us by family who had visited last summer. They loved it as we also did. It is not a place for a romantic quiet evening but more hip and happening. All was good.

Monkeypod is Kaanapali dining at its finest. Its location is perfect, right near the ocean and shopping. The menu is eclectic but all the dishes have creativity and attention to detail. I had the mushroom potstickers-they were amazing. Also had lobster deviled eggs which were divine. The Mahi Mahi fish and chips were delectable. We shared a chocolate cream pie which was exquisite and chocolate gelato which was creamy and super chocolatey. My Mai Tai was the best ever with pineapple whip...how do they do that? My husband had a non-alcoholic kombucha/turmeric/ginger drink which was superb. Here are pix...that pineapple whip was divine!!

We enjoyed our second visit to Monkeypod, although the experience was spoiled a little with the noise in the place. The opakapaka was a little dry and seemed to be less seasoned hiding under a butter sauce. My rack of lamb was fatty and--at the prices charged--was not inspiring. Overall, it was good but not great.

Tons of flavor, tons of fun. Seated away from the ocean view tables, but we had such a great time it didn’t matter. Live music was good without overwhelming the place. Liked the potstickers a lot, recommend the kalua pork tacos and the Banh mi burger. Would go back.

We had a reservation for 4:30 and were seated on time. We lucked out with a table at the front with a great view of the water. Happy hour went until 5:30 which worked out great for drinks, pizzas and appetizers! The view was incredible! First time to Maui and Monkeypod, would definitely go here again!

Great dinner - the vegan corn chowder was amazing! The Mai Thai's were non traditional but very good. The service was OK - the server forgot to take our drink orders and subsequently forgot to bring our drinks. The meal wasn't paced correctly with the apps coming the same time as dinner.
