Very good Cajun food. The staff was excellent and very attentive.
Out favorite place to go if we want the taste of original New Orleans! The Chef is friendly as always.
They just went through remodel, looks different but nice.
Food spectacular. Nice portions. Alligator is a must. Leave room for dessert.
Food was delicious! I was hoping to get the fresh delicious pralines , but they were out . I can’t wait to return .
This was our third time to dine at Momma Pearl's and it will become one of our regular places to eat. Great food with more than ample servings.
Excellent food! The staff was fun and very accommodating. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Most excellent Cajun cuisine with a family atmosphere and friendly staff.
This is a premier spot in the Northgate area if you love good Cajun food, nicely prepared, seasoned, and presented. I would recommend this for families, couples, office crews, road warriors, guys or gals night out-- you name it. Friendly atmosphere and very personable staff. No complaints. Keep up the great job!
Just overall great food, and great ambience!
8/10 would eat again
The new location is great, we had a wonderful time and were stuffed, so much tasty food!
The food was amazing, the Chef and his staff very friendly. We will keep returning.
Wonderful food and excellent service ! Highly recommend!
This is possibly the best Cajun restaurant north of NOLA. The food tasted as good or better than being in NOLA. The staff is friendly and very happy and upbeat making the enjoyment even better. The atmosphere also made you feel like NOLA. I know there are other restraints that try like lost Cajun but this is the best. Worth the drive from wherever you are in the state.
Shared seafood platter, plenty for two! Will try some of their other specialties next time.
Food was very bland. I'm from the south and I've visited new Orleans a few times, this was a big "miss" in my book.
We had a reservation, showed up and the door was locked.
Gumbo was cold with very liittl
Been going to Mama Pearl’s since the old shop. Still great, but more room, more of the same ol’ chef BB. So glad they’re doing ok!
Excelllent food as always. Love this place! Our choice to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary together.
We waited nearly an hour for our food. I tried to take into consideration the possibility of low staffing but there seemed to be plenty of servers as everyone around us was taken care of. Some seated after us were even served before us. We were only a party of four. So that was a bit disappointing. Especially since we’ve been to Momma Pearl’s multiple times without any problems. And we had our-of-town guests with us. Food was good but the wait was excessive.
Awesome food and service! The food that each of the 5 people in our party was well prepared and presented. Highly recommend
Great food. My friend was always eating Cajun food growing up and he really liked the sampler platter.
We ate way too much and enjoyed every bite. The owner stopped by to check on us which is always appreciated. I can imagine my Creole grandma and Mama Pearl swapping gumbo recipes.
Fantastic and such a great restaurant. Great team!
I believe this is the best restaurant in town. Most of the menu is rather spicy as it is Cajun Food at it's best. They do have dishes such as crab cakes that aren't spicy at all for those that can't handle spicy food such as a good friend of ours that knows crab cakes coming from the north east coast that indicated these were the best she had ever had. Great ambiance and really enjoy talking with Chef "BB" Brunet. He really has a passion for what he brings to the table.
Best New Orleans food i've had in years. Blackened Snapper and. Hush puppies were fantastic.Service was excellant. Chef even came out to greet us.
Wanted to try some good Cajun and found Mamma Pearl’s. The crab dip and the desserts were great. Amazing red rice and beans. The saffron crawfish was good too. The gumbo and shrimp étouffée was not very flavorful and was a little runny. We were disappointed in it. The catfish had a muddy, dirty taste to it. We wouldn’t order those again. Restaurant was clean. Service was just okay. We had to flag them down for drink refills and anything we needed. It is very pricey! Next time I’d try a po’ boy.
Absolutely delicious and we can’t wait to go back!
Mama Pearls took us back 30+ years to living in Louisiana and enjoying regular crawfish boils. The crawfish super platter was amazing and the three of us barely finished it.
Food was great, as usual. Service was kinda lacking...brought us wrong food for our order, some stuff took a while to get to the table, like our appetizer. Did I mention the food was great?
I'm from Cajun country and the food was excellent.
Well done Chef!! Seasoned to perfection!! The proportions were great and our service was outstanding. I felt really like I was back home!
We always love Mama Pearls. The food is amazing really authentic. The atmosphere is so great. Jazz music playing and everyone just having a good time. We will always go to Mama pearls when we want a taste of home and southern hospitality!
This was our first visit to Momma Pearl's kitchen and we enjoyed the food and the scene! My husband is from Louisiana and it made him feel right at home from the seafood gumbo all the way to the beignets. We will definitely be back with friends.
Food is awesome but the service was slow. We had a new server and he was struggling to keep up. The other server were helpful but a woman, who appeared to be the manager, did nothing. The server have to make their own drinks. That really slows down the service. Frankly having a manager who, in the 75 minutes we were there, cleared two plates from one table doesn’t help the servers. Stood hands on hips and watched.
Horrible. Have eaten in NOLA for 30 years. This was mediocre at best. Charged us $3 for Cajun rice and gave a large pile of rice and poor quality etouffee. I wanted a martini, but they couldn’t do it, they only were allowed to make the drinks on the menu. There are no substitutions allowed for anything!! The charbroiled oysters were lukewarm as was the etouffee. Ordered a mint julep, took 2 sips, it was awful. Did get that taken off bill. Catfish filet was paper thin with thick, flavorless crust. Prices too expensive for the quality.
We’ve been to Momma Pearls twice in the past three weeks and have not been disappointed yet. We plan on going to the crawfish boil this weekend. Great food and great service will keep us coming back.
Fantastic food- great atmosphere, wonderful waitv staff...100% recommend!
Best shrimp and grits ever! Bread pudding is to die for! Real sweet tea!
Wonderful food, beautiful design, and warm welcome.
