   Great service but the food was lacking. Spam Mac and cheese tasted really off, not sure how you can screw up spam. The guava BBQ sauce was just super sweet, not balanced. Chicken was rubbery.

   Food came out quickly and was delicious. Beautiful live music and nice, spacious patio seating. Delicious cocktails and a little something different for everyone on the menu. Appetizer serving was a much smaller portion size than expected and really only sharable for 2 people max. Banana split dessert was delicious!

   Some of the preparations were unusual such as the dipping sauce for calamari and coconut shrimp. Not like most local chefs as expected.

   Dear potential diners, First, I voiced my concerns by leaving a message for management at the Waikiki Moani. No response and it’s been over a week. On Sat 3/22 @ 5:30pm arrived to Moani. We had 5 in our party. My friends from Kansas were visiting and I thought of Moani being the perfect place to experience local cuisine. From the introduction by our waiter to his rude behavior thereafter I was mortified for my visitors. He said his name, Hookele so fast that they of course didn’t get his name correct. He proceeded to speak in Olelo Hawaii. My visitors were confused because they are unfamiliar with the language. Instead of explaining what he rudely said he responded, you are in Hawaii and you need to learn the language! WTH! Not appropriate. My friends husband has cancer which is advanced and I wanted this experience to be memorable but instead horrible! It’s so sad that I had to keep apologizing to my guests and wishing we went elsewhere. Auwe!!!

   The service was slow, the prices were very high for the portion size and the steak was over cooked and not good quality. Disappointed overall. We had a party of 6 so gratuity was included automatically regardless of the quality of service.

    The food and service was outstanding! Had the pork chops and fried rice. Portions were generous. Excellent value in the heart of a high priced tourist center.
