Mix Mix was great. I read up on local restaurants and saw the Head Chef was doing some creative things with his Filipino background influencing his dishes. The value was fantastic as we did the pre-fix menu each choosing 4 plates for 45 dollars . . . You read that right. Value gets 5 stars. The drinks were also very good. My favorite thing that I had was probably the cheese fries. The braised short rib was great and the home-made cheese wiz was definitely an elevated take on a grunge classic. I would definitely come here again.

We came in based on some positive reviews online, and were treated to an excellent meal. The small plates were intriguing, the fusion felt genuine and surprising, and we had plenty of time to enjoy. The server, Asa, was friendly and helpful, and made the experience even better.

Definitely try the egg raviolo, the Filipino ceviche, and the "rabbit" cocktail.

AH-mazing eats and drinks - you must try the tuna ceviche with a Silly Rabbit cocktail! Make sure Jessica serves you, she knows this menu and will help you pair your apps and entrees with the perfect libations!! We will definitely be back soon.

Amazing dishes that seem simple on the menu, but are transformed into something magical when it's in front of you. We especially loved the French take on chicken and waffles, with the crispy duck and french toast. In my opinion, it's way better than any chicken and waffles I've ever had.

Our 2nd visit was disappointing unfortunately and surprisingly lackluster compared to our first visit. The service was slow, several items on the menu were unavailable by the time our waitress put in our order, and our meat was overcooked. Frankly our first visit was amazing but I'm not sure I'd return after the drastic decline

I rarely write review. There is reason why this restaurant is different. We went for birthday dinner celebration for my husband. When seated I told the greeter to leave a note to kitchen to add a candle when our dessert comes out. She confirmed and said will do. I was worried if kitchen may forget, so when we finished last main course I went to the restroom passing the kitchen and told the same thing to the waiter, waiter specifically confirmed where we sat.Guess what, 10 minutes later our dessert came out, nothing on top of it. Very impressive service. Not to mention we waited 10-15minutes every time between courses.

The food was excellent and the value for the tasting menu was great. The craft cocktails were also quite good. And as before the dessert was perfect!Our waitress was attentive and all in all a very enjoyable evening for the five of us

It was very creative, well presented, excellent food and dining experience. A very fun imaginative menu. We got the fixed price 4 course menu and that allowed us to sample a lot of things. I would HIGHLY recommend this for a fun dining experience.

First time coming here after well celebrated reviews from friends and food bloggers, I wanted to give this a try. Shared this experience with a friend and it didn't disappoint. Very nice menu offers and happy hour deals. Will be back again! Thanks!

Excellent, as always. The food was innovative and delicious. We enjoyed sitting at the counter facing the kitchen where we could observe Ross and his staff prepare our dinners.

Reserved a table for a party of seven for a friend's birthday. Waitress suggested the prix fixe per diner for the great value and a smart way to test out their new menu items. Worked out really great for the table because everyone essentially sampled a little bit of everything on the menu, which was charmingly adventurous yet not too out of the comfort zone for the picky eaters.

Very cool and hip restaurant where the chef knows his food chemistry. The prix fix menus are a deal for the quality and quantity you receive .

The wait staff is friendly and quick . You have to try the bartender created drink. Just tell them what kind of alcohol you like and what you are feeling and you will get a creative off the menu drink.

Definitely worth the visit!

MixMix far surpassed my expectations. It is in the old location of Little Sparrow in DTSA, but it is nothing like that. The food is versatile and really caters to many tastes. My friends and I enjoyed their tasting menu and ate every morsel. All of us ordered something different and was not disappointed. One of the many things I love about MixMix is that many of their menu items were Gluten Free, so I enjoyed a plethora of the food. The service was great and the concept behind the name is perfect. It is, quite literally, a mix of this and a mix of that; but all delicious.

Fantastic cuisine in Santa Ana. The chef is a master at fusing Filipino and French cuisine with Napa style flair. Everything here is remarkable, which at a certain point becomes overwhelming.

I'll be surprised if this place is in business for another 6 months. Went here for restaurant week and wow..the place is really unorganized. The drink program is unimpressive to the max. Food was ok. It was a prefix menu and we never received our dessert after waiting for almost an hour. Don't think we'll be back here any time soon..

They call themselves Mix Mix for a reason. They have a good mix of food, i.e. Asian, Mexican, Filipino, Italian, etc.
I tried their OC restaurant week 4-course prix fixe menu. All the courses were beautifully plated and very flavorful.
I will definitely return here to try their other menu items.

Very much enjoyed my meal, creative & tasty food, nice ambiance (although the decor like in many trendy places: stark shabby chic with Edison bulbs). I probably took the only dish where value may be an issue: the seared foie gras. At $26 the small plate, over 2x the price of others, and as expensive or more expensive than large plates, the quantity just wasn't enough... roughly the size of 2 quarters side by side.

Food was really good but they forgot our order or something so service was lacking! We waited over an hour to get our appetizers! They ran out of food since it was restaurant week so our dessert also wasn't in the same presentation as earlier guests. They didn't come over to tell us what was going on so we could have waited over 2 hr for our appetizers because no one came over. Once we asked about the food, no one came over to tell us what happened. Such a shame since food was good.

Great place. Food was excellent. Our server was fantastic. Only downside was took a long time to get food, which could be attributed to it being restaurant week and the place was packed. Definitely coming back

Food was great! The kitchen was very slow. Went for Restaraunt week and the dining room was full but the kitchen could not keep up with orders. We were a party of 6, one of the largest parties there and it took nearly 3 hours for us to get the 3 courses of our meal. I would consider going again in a smaller group because the food was very good.

food was divine- would definitely return - only complaint very slow in bringing our cocktails , we were more than halfway through our meal, we told the waitress to cancel the drinks - she profusely apologized stating the bar was backed up - she then stated drinks are on the house - so in my books excellent customer service.... maybe need additional bartender - all I can say my cocktail was Delicious and so was the food !!!!

The food was pretty good, but the service needs some work. I got the 4 course prix-fixe menu, but waited 15+ mins twice between finishing 1st course and receiving 2nd and finishing 2nd and receiving 3rd. Finished plates also sat on the table even after receiving the next course. Dessert arrived dripping down the sides of the dish. Servers also dropped and broke glasses multiple times during my 90 minutes there.
