Minsky’s Restaurant lies on the fringes of trendy St John's Wood and Regents Park, and serves European cuisine with a Hungarian stamp. As well as an extensive breakfast buffet, weekend carvery and diverse a la carte menu, Minsky’s Restaurant near Lord’s Cricket Ground offers traditional afternoon tea, and guests can listen to live entertainment in the plush Pavilion Bar.
Hearty beef consommé married with chicken mousse herb dumplings lead the regularly-changing Minsky’s Restaurant menu, along with flavoursome hanger steak cooked straight from the grill and served with a rich béarnaise sauce. Main courses include sweet lobster tail broth, slow-cooked shoulder of pork with trotters, marinated in its own juices, and rich, deep-flavoured beef bourguignon.

      Very 1950s, self service 3 course carvery. Attentive waiters, but very average food. Sadly would not recommend or contemplate using again.

      There were far too many waiting staff and what I presume were managers (suited) in the restaurant, none of which had a clue how to give basic let alone good service. We had to ask for everything, no one came to ask us if we wanted a drink etc. Saying that the Sunday lunch was good, the rib of beef was cooked to perfection.

      The Sunday lunch is a wonderful throwback to the old fashioned carveries. The beef is good quality but there is a fish dish and turkey if you are so inclined. The desserts have come straight out of the 1970s but then again that's no bad thing if you like old fashioned apple pie. Great value and leave time to walk off the calories.
