Tradition! Never disappointed
Great service, ambience, and food!
The best french onion soup I’ve had.
Had a great time celebrating my daughter's 17th Birthday. Wonderful and delicious food, great service, lively time spent in a beautiful place and atmosphere!
Great food, great service and very nice outdoor ambience!
Outstanding food served in a very pleasant and attractive environment and coupled with good service! A gem!
This is a hidden gem. The food is fresh, unique and delicious, you will not be disappointed. They are accommodating, have a great outdoor seating area for the COVID. I have been coming for years and never disappointed. The crab squid ink pasta was very nice for a change. Pasta fresh and Al dente. The ambiance draws you away to a French village. Service is always impeccable. A special Birthday place.
This is one of the fine restaurants. The food and service are the best and the menu is inventive. I have ONE only negative comment. Why add 5% to everything separately? The menu prices are high but reasonable for the quality and service. Adding to existing prices by 5% would not make them unreasonable but another "hidden" fee for a product or service seems unnecessary and somewhat insulting.
The food and service are top notch. We’ve been to many restaurants during COVID, and this restaurant has maintained great food and service. No delays and don’t appear to have staff shortage problems.
A feeling of warmth and good service.
Food has always been exceptional and creative. Good value for special occasions!👌
Had another great meal at Mille Fleurs. We ate out in the lovely patio area, where MANY portable heaters kept everyone quite comfortable.
We both started with the Lobster Bisque - very rich flavor with many tasty lobster chunks. Excellent - highly recommended.
I had the Duck a l'orange. Very nice presentation - very flavorful duck sliced and presented with seasoned carrot pieces, sauce, and garnish.
My wife had the vegetarian risotto (which I have enjoyed before). This is a very robust risotto - lots of flavor, with peas and mushrooms. She shared a bite with me and it was delicious.
We were too full for dessert this evening, but next time we will try to save some room...
As usual, the service was impeccable!
Very friendly and attentive service and wonderful food with a superb wine collection.
Both Marco maître d’ and Shaun our waiter are outstanding and always available to answer questions and help select wine pairings without being over bearing. The meal is the best and Mille Fleurs is our go restaurant for special occasions!
Excellent food and the staff is amazing. The menu was exceptional for New Year’s Eve
New year’s dinner
Fabulous experience, it was all great. Food, servers, ambiance, and cocktails. Our first time and we will be back soon.
Marco is always the best!!!
One of the better meals I’ve had this year. The caviar was to die for the service was excellent and the soul was utterly amazing.
By far my favorite place to dine in the San Diego area.
Delicious food, outstanding service, fabulous bartender, extensive wine knowledge. Reminds me of being home in Manhattan. Absolutely outstanding!
We went out for a birthday dinner and everything was very good. The food was amazing, we had sea food. The service was great and the table was inside and every nice. The bill was a bit hefty but expected.
We have lived in San Diego for 40 years and this was our first time dining at Mille Fleurs.
Don’t make the mistake that we did in waiting this long to visit this superb and special restaurant. Our waiter Doug was extremely knowledgeable on everything from the appetizers, the entrées and deserts, to suggesting the perfect wine to go with the heavenly duck pate. Every single element of our meal was delectable. There is something magical that happens when one is feasting on splendiferous food. Your mood is enhanced and for a moment you think that this must be the type of food they dine on in heaven. I am looking forward to visiting Mille Fleur in the near future. You can be sure we won’t wait another 40 years to do so.
Have loved MF fir 35+ years!
This venerable restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate a very special occasion.
Unfortunately a fellow patron lit up a cigar while dining on the patio. Staff did eventually request he extinguish the cigar, but it took far too long, and stunk up their lovely patio. Unfathomable dinosaur-like behavior quite out of place in the year 2021.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening. This was our wedding anniversary dinner and our first time at Mille Fleurs. We were greeted warmly by staff and even though there were clearly many regular customers present, were made to feel like one of the family. The ambiance and holiday decor could not have been better. As many previous commentators have indicated, the food was exceptional and the service was well timed and professional. We will be back often. Highly recommended.
This was a Christmas dinner for my family - party of 6. We started with Champagne and cocktails - their version of the Old Fashioned is fabulous and many of us had the lobster salad as the first course - even though we split the salads for two people there was plenty of this signature salad to enjoy. We brought our own wine which they decanted and served for us. All enjoyed the entree's including two versions of risotto, filet of sole, and cottage pie. For the price most thought the portions were too small but we all went away with more than our fair share of calories. The pavlova and the chocolate desserts were outstanding.
We had the most amazing service and food here. We felt special the minute we entered the restaurant. The experience was fabulous. The food from start to finish was incredible. I can’t wait to get back.
The service-impeccable, the food-divine, ambience-relaxing and beautiful. Our favourite restaurant by far!
Came here for a company holiday party lunch. I have been here for dinner and the dinner menu is amazing. We were extremely disappointed with the lunch menu. There was no feeling of being excited about any of the entrées offered. Everyone just settled on One of the few, not-exciting offerings. Nothing was fantastic. No one raved about anything. The bread at $2.50 a person was the best thing anybody had. And the fois Gras was a good appetizer. The leek and potato soup was not very good. The risotto was terrible and tasted like straight vinegar or cleaning fluid. It will be a while before we return. Honestly, this was an embarrassing holiday company lunch. And is probably one of the worst experiences for such that we have had. Sorry to say this, but this is how it was.
Excellent service and perfectly prepared meals! We really enjoyed the ambiance. Perfect for special occasions and celebrations.
Visiting San Diego.
Our Dutch family members were going back. Goodbye dinner
We came back again from Orange County for about our 5th or 6th visit - most recently in about April of this year - one of our favorites to which I have recommended to friends as one of the best in Southern California.
This visit was a bit different that came with a bit of disappointment.
Menu not as varied as in April (no duck), one person ordered the Wiener schnitzel that surprisingly had no sauce and looked “dry”, my steak was excellently prepared to a great medium rare but accompaniments of roasted potatoes and broccoli were fresh and excellent on taste, but just barely warm in temperature.
For whatever reason, It seemed timing of our our main course was slower than other tables and took longer than expected after our appetizer was delivered but not to the point of complaining.
Service was excellent, lots of checking back by staff.
This may have all come about because this was a busy Saturday night, as people are venturing out more from quarantine, and we all know about restaurants challenges finding qualified staff from cooks on down.
We will be back as it is a jewel …….
Excellent, attentive service and delicious food. Very expensive.
Another fun night at my favorite restaurant. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is terrific, and the restaurant is elegant.
Outstanding French restaurant in a gorgeous setting! Some of the best food and great service in North county. Also a nice wine list and our server Sean was knowledgeable.
Always the best.
Superb all around. High quality attention to detail. Customer-centered
The risotto was delicious, turkey (dark meat) was not tender, service was ridiculously slow and poor. Took 45 min to get our appetizer, then waited for 20+ minutes between each course.
We went for a late lunch on the patio to celebrate my mom's birthday and Thanksgiving. The patio was a lovely setting on a beautiful day, Douglas took great care of us, and the food and wine were delicious. We'd go again.
