Located beside Curiel’s first solo restaurant, Alma Fonda Fina, Mezcaleria Alma marks the natural next chapter in Curiel’s culinary journey to share the beauty of Mexico through food.     In keeping with the spirit of a traditional mezcaleria found in Mexico City, the elongated, plush banquette anchors each table inviting guests to sink in and relax. Every corner of the dining room reveals treasures from Johnny’s travels, paired with captivating art like intricate Mexican embroidery that sparks conversation. At the heart of the space is a captivating mural on traditional bark paper by local Latinx artist Maria Morante, a powerful homage to Mexican folk art.

    We are Mexicans and this is an authentic real Mexican experience, Do yourself a favor ando come to try authentic Mexican food. Tacos de Cola de Res are the best tacos we have ever tried 🙏🏼

    Was really excited to finally try this place. Food was really great, same for cocktails. Really beautiful menu. The service we had wasn’t great and didn’t ruin the experience but certainly didn’t enhance it. We had questions about the menu (both drink and food) and our questions felt like a bother, by two different staff. A bit pretentious. Coming from the food/bev/hospitality industry, the experience should be about being curious and exploring new flavors and learning about the dishes and drinks and the service shut down the enjoyment of that for us. We eventually just stopped asking.
