How is Tequila Made?

Tequila
Tequila is made from the Blue Agave plant in the region of Los Altos de Jalisco. It is extracted using traditional methods and has a controlled Denomination of Origin. Types include Silver, Reposado, Joven, and Añejo.

How is Mezcal Made?

Mezcal
Mezcal is produced from the hearts of agave plants, roasted in clay ovens, crushed, and fermented. The juice is distilled twice or three times.

Friendly restaurant, good food, Sunday brunch is not haute cuisine but its a good place to meet friends and enjoy informal eating. Queues for the Taco station were long, more space needed perhaps, and the guidance for how to manage toppings and sauces was absent- so for those new to the restaurant it was a little confusing. But tacos were good, as were nachos. The vegetarian soup was a bit bland- needed salt and additional flavours adding. Main course Stews were well flavoured, portions generous. Less choice than I remember from visiting a couple of years ago. Salad / Sides limited. Didn't try the tequilas this time, the prices are now over £13 per drink. Would be nice to have a written table guide on the usual way of managing the order of food, suggested accompaniments etc.

Booked a table here for my wife's birthday, after hearing so much about this place. The food flavours definitely lived up to its reputation. But that was where it stopped. The MIXIOTE DE CORDERO for myself which is the Lamb Shank. Came without the tortillas, which I was asked if I would like the corn or flour ones when ordering. Couldn't be bothered asking for them, as firstly the language barrier of the waiters, and the food was just Luke warm when it arrived. We wanted to eat, and not have a exhaustive debate. My wife ordered the Vegan enchiladas. Complete disappointment. 2 skinny enchiladas, which 2 very small pieces of artificial chicken in each. As with both mains, we didn't order a starter as we expected the mains to be quite substantial. The food portions were "poor." The chorus desert was good. When booking, I did mention, it was for a birthday. Other people were having "something special" done for them in the restaurant (they were bigger tables unlike us as a table of 2)...Not even a mention for us. Concluding, we have been, but won't be coming again, and won't be recommending.

Booked a table for 6 persons. At the last minute, one guest had to cancel. On arrival at the restaurant I informed the manager checking us in that we were now a party of 5. Immediately he instructed a staff member to prepare another table. This was a small table by the bar, already set for 4. The wait staff laid an additional place at the end of the table. I complained that it was unacceptable as I could not put my fee under the table. I was informed that as a party of 5, this is what we get and was pointed to another party with the same configuration. They were even worse as the man at the end was situated at the door of the toilet. When I complained again the manager told me that if I didn't like it we could just leave!!!! I have never experienced this in all my decades of dining out. As it was my son's birthday, I perched at the end, with my legs turned sideways. Surrounded by bottles and glasses, it was impossible for me to reach the sharing tacos. Or the sharing nachos. My main meal was half an arm length away as I couldn't pull myself in to the table. The restaurant was busy. A continuous turn over. Obviously busy enough on a Saturday evening not to care whether we stayed or left. The wait staff were friendly and helpful but everything was loud and rushed but not in a fun relaxed way. Our table was near the fire exit where moped drivers collecting table away orders. Constant open and closing door draft. There was a small wet puddle on the stairway behind us. Think people may have put drinks there and it was s mall patch of condensation. Luckily we spotted it before my husband hung his coat up as it would have dragged in it. The food. Tacos tasty. Natcho's tasty. Mains a disappointment. Will not be visiting again.

My girlfriend saw a TikTok raving this place, referring to it as ‘Boujee on a budget’ this turned out to be absolute propaganda. Everything about the experience was awful. From the start we walked in a the place was completely empty, yet the unprofessionally attired lady on desk refused to let us have any table besides the two two person tables in the worst location. This same lacklustre worker was insanely difficult about letting me charge my phone. The food arrived instantly and was very underwhelming, 19.80 each for a couple of spoons of cold ingredients and subpar wraps served in a bag. The vibe of the restaurant was also completely dead. To top this off, when my girlfriend asked to remove the service charge from the bill for obvious reasons, at first the waiter was heavily reluctant to do so and then after finally agreeing we overheard him snigger to his coworkers that we ‘only had £40’ this was highly insulting and made us feel even more uncomfortable and dissatisfied with the entire experience. Would certainly never come back again and would advise anyone considering the premises to stay far far away!!

This place is elegant and cosy and the staff is very attentive and charming. The taco tray is spectacular and is just enough food for 2. Also serving delicious margaritas. Slight downside, it’s a bit noisy with tables placed so close together.

The servers where amazing all super friendly all spoke Spanish which makes me feel comfortable as a Spanish speaker. Me and my friend had an amazing time together, great ambient and love the decoration inside, you can also get a Discount on the mestizo market if u keep the food receipt which I think it’s a great idea bought a few things there as well. Gladly recommend it I’ll be back. There’s also a special deal on Thursdays sort of like a night outing I’ll be there to have some fun and eat some tacos. And most importantly the food was AMAZING I had mole for the first time and was splendid I’m a big foodie and that was gorgeous. Highly recommended.

Was very loud sitting downstairs. Much nicer upstairs to eat. Would not return and sit in the dungeon to eat again! But the food was great so I’d go back if I wasn’t sitting in that dreadful hot, noisy and musty downstairs seating area. I don’t understand why it was so loud. I had to shout over my dinner and could not hear anybody talking at all. Very unpleasant and not relaxing considering the meal was £400. Bit gutted really. When I went upstairs it was lovely, so make sure you book there,
